The Tissot PR516 Chronograph Mechanical: a nod to Tissot's distinguished 1970 model. Crafted with a 41mm stainless-steel case and a glassbox-style sapphire crystal, this watch is a testament to sophisticated craftsmanship. At its heart lies a Swiss manual winding movement, visible through the open caseback, showcasing the intricate mechanics. The dial, featuring Super-LumiNova®️-coated indices and hands, ensures readability in any setting. A tachymeter on the bezel adds a touch of functionality. Its versatile design is complemented by a domed stainless-steel bracelet with a quick interchangeable system, perfect for transitioning from business meetings to casual outings. The PR516 Chronograph Mechanical is an exquisite piece for watch connoisseurs who appreciate timeless design and mechanical precision.
I looked at it with interest.
I bought this watch about two weeks ago. This watch is so well made that I can't think of it because of its price, and it's also highly accurate.I got a wonderful watch.
Its a solid watch with a great movement, enjoy Sir
I got a chance to try this on and it’s stellar! I love the proportions and presence on the wrist.
Its does has some wrist presence and its something different for them
I've bought it. It's drop dead gorgeous in real life.
Glad your enjoying it Sir you have a nice watch there
@@ClickSpringReview i was surprised how thin it feels on the wrist.
I keep saying to people you really don't notice the size
@@ClickSpringReview before the tissot, while I was at the dealer, I've tried the Tag heuer carrera and I didn't like it at all. Almost the same thickness but waaaay too much dome for my taste. The tissot feels much slimmer.
A flat crystal can make the watch feel slimmer you made the right choice Sir
Very informative. It’s great that you mentioned the “losing the accuracy when you start the chronograph” situation.
Thanks Sir always good to hear when people enjoy the videos, I maybe over do the information somethings its comes for the watchmaker side of me I guess
Taking delivery on this today, can hardly focus at work!
I hope you enjoy it Sir
@@ClickSpringReview thank you so much! It sits much slimmer on the wrist than the 14.1mm would suggest. I’m a slim guy, but my wrists are 7.5 in diameter so the watch sits beautifully.
You have a cool watch there I'm sure your going to love it for years to come
Congratulations bro 👏🏼
This watch would be a home run if it weren’t for the non-matching hands. The fact that the minute hand has the syringe style pointer and the hour hand doesn’t completely ruins it for me. Love the channel btw!
Cheers Marty 👍🏻
Quite a good looking watch this. I own an earlier automatic variant of the 516 with the 7750 movement and the carbon dial. Very thick watch though and the rotor is extremely loud.
The rotor on the 7750 movements has always been loud I kinda like for that , this will be a few millimetres slimmer being its a hand wound only movement
Usual great review. I like the lume.
Its interesting they went with a manual wind
Hi Barry, it looks amazing value: very few chronos can be had for less than £2,000. Like many chronographs it is uncomfortably big for my wrist, so for a hand wound model I'd look at the Hanhart 417 ES 1954 series, or, of course, the Sinn 356 series. Having said that my Seagul 1963 38mm fits like a glove...
I support what you said about Rowland at FC Watches, I was looked after very well, and my new Muhle Panova Blau is everything I'd hoped for... LG Bob 🍻
I may have to see about reviewing one of those Muhle at some point down the line Bob
@@ClickSpringReview 👍
Is this the first watch they have made with this movement? I hope they make some of the older dress chronographs that Tissot made in the 50s and 60s with it!
I'm not sure to be fair, some of their older chrono were very pretty, but if they make reissues a dare say everyone will complain saying they are all to thick as many people on here don't understand the size of a Chronograph movement
Good review: accurate and to the point. I've just received my PR 516 today and I think it looks and feels excellent. Good standard of finish and fit.
I've had many many more expensive Swiss watches and this doesn't feel cheap at all. The bracelet is slightly better than the Tag Heuer Formula 1 imo.
The only thing I haven't found is how many times to wind the crown. The booklet doesn't say. I wound it 50+ times and I guess there's a clutch in there as there's no resistance...
Thants Sir , interesting if when you wind it up fully you can hear click sound it may have a barrel like an automatic were the spring slips or if you cant hear that it could be snapped at the very end, how long is the power reserve ?
At least the lugs are 20 mm @Barry 😉 wish Tissot had choose different hour and minutes hands
By the way is it an Valjoux 7750 Amigo ?
Sort of its a manual wind movement so like the 7753
@@ClickSpringReview thanks though it was Le Joux Perret now it’s modules are flooding the market on some brands with base Valjoux them a Perret module never tried but I’m sure Tissot as it’s Richmond group must have some ETA module anyway enough of Chronographs already have 3 it’s more than enough for me… should starting selling some Sinn’s 105 UTC on bracelet black dial any one interested?
Don’t pay for packaging almost like new few wear scratches on the clasp the Cristal it’s pristine 1400€ plus package fees
This Tissot has some serious TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 vibes about it.
Yeah I get that lol
I just bought it. Waited a month. Good movement..but mine about 2-5 sec slow per day..
May I ask do you wear your watch when sleeping or do you leave it on the side, if you do place it dial side up and not on its side as this will improve things a little Alex
@@ClickSpringReview yes..i put aside when at home..I know that. Tqvm
I'm so close to pulling the trigger on this one...
Its a cracking watch for the money
@@ClickSpringReview yea. I have a tissot butique nearby so i'm gonna check it out first. I have a 19cm wrist so it's gonna be just fine
Yeah for sure , Let me know what you think of it 👍🏻
How much does this it cost @Barryplease 😊
Think I say in the video at some point but its £1700
@@ClickSpringReview Thank you so much!
👍
use to have the regular pr516
The vintage 3 hander ?
@@ClickSpringReviewnot sure
@@zillsburyy1 They used to do a non-chrono 3 hand model with PR 516 in red on the dial
@@ClickSpringReview no not that one
@@zillsburyy1 Fair play the older chrono had the 7750 movement as I remember which would of been thicker , which do you prefer an auto or manual wind ?
It's a reasonably attractive watch in that Morris Marina Tissot way. I don't quite understand how they keep using the PR516 name on their modern watches and not look at their back catalogue. Those 70s 516s were achingly cool. Todays, not so much. They did well with the PRX so why not again? Still, uninformed wives in Malaysian malls will buy them by the dozen no doubt.
Sometimes they just can't let a name drop , for a Chronograph it offer good valve and I dare say there maybe a deal to be had with one 👍🏻
