    • @SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS
      @SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +44

      This is just one of many ways to promote your music dude! You are competing for the attention of people. It's rare to JUST have a good song. I feel like it's unlocked something for me creatively personally.

    • @tutubeos
      @tutubeos 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      I completely disagree… dude. If you know right from the start that something is wrong you don’t take that road just because it’s just a way to promote your music = a way to earn money. With this kind of thinking, you should support then someone that doesn’t have a job and ends up selling drugs… because “it’s just a way to promote himself”.
      I prefer to make my music and die poor instead of doing what too many people think “it’s just a way to promote your music”… dude.

    • @tutubeos
      @tutubeos 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

      @@SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS there’s nothing smart in following a trend that is wrong on so many levels. We need integrity and good musicians. Falling in the rabbit hole of social media is just wrong for your music and sad

    • @partymarty6969
      @partymarty6969 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +29

      Before the internet - musicians booked studio time to record/master their music. then they needed to press a small batch of CDs/cassette tapes to pitch their music to independent record shops and/or music labels all IN PERSON. And if they liked your presentation, you then had to be ready pay for manufacturing the music for the shop.
      This is the business side of music, if you’re not business savvy // if you’re not willing to do the work needed to get where you wanna be - maybe it’s best to stay a hobbyist (as there are many musicians that sign bad business deals in this phase).
      There’s nothing wrong with playing just for fun. When you’re playing just for fun - social media isn’t that important.

    • @tutubeos
      @tutubeos 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@partymarty6969 That’s not true… dude. Before the internet, musicians were musicians, while recording and promoting were handled by managers and labels. You should get your history straight.
      Engaging with people on social media and creating silly videos about yourself as the “$74,000 guy” who you claim to make that much monthly is what people without deep and genuine music do. I call these individuals TH-camrs or social media ‘influencers., those are the real hobbyists.
      How can you label someone as a musician or an artist if they don’t dedicate their full time to their own music, craft, dedication, and study, but instead follow this fleeting trend of social media, which sooner or later will fade? Who do you think will be remembered in the future? The true musicians who created art through their music, or the TH-camrs who merely followed a trend to promote themselves?
      Invest your time and money in your music, not in these easily misleading strategies.

But being independent to get there I feel like you have to spend atleast $40K/ Year in PR/ Marketing just to make that much money every 30 days….. I can’t afford to do that cause only 2/5 in my band want to spend money ( the rest are talented people but it’s hard finding 100% talent and 100% commitment these days)

      @@virtuealso I wanna know what Rock/ alternative independent artists are pulling in numbers like this, it would be nice to find a case study/ testimony to go by…… I mean I think my music is definitely marketable, we just gotta find our niche…. I’d say ( this is entirely my opinion so take it with a grain of salt) we sound like a cross between Aerosmith meets Night Ranger with a touch of Styx, and Ozzy sprinkled on ( lead vocals)

      Get naked grease yourself up, put on a g-string and sing and dance like Lady Gaga. That should be a good start.😊

    Cloning... we need 1 to be a musician and the other to do all the other dopamine stuff that has nothing to do with the creative magic of making Music.

    This would be great if you actually have content to put out with your song. What if you don’t? I don’t. I’m a 50 year old, fat housewife making music in my bedroom. Why would anyone care about what I say, and how would I even match my music with something? Wash dishes and dance to my own song?
