Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Huge improvement over just using the default settings when switching between white hot and black hot!
I've been wanting a thermal since I was in the army when I got out many years ago the ones I found were 18k to 25k and no civilians could buy one but now they are stupid cheap in comparison. Thanks for the great info.
I can't figure out what app and how to connect to my zeus pro 336 for the life of me. The only "bluetooth" I can find on their website and documentation is that it has it. ?? Very frustrating. Scope itself is great but I would like to be able to manage settings from my mobile device.
I'm looking at either a higher end night vision or a lower end thermal setup. I'm leaning toward thermal but is it worth it to get the higher resolution? The cost is about double. Also, is it worth it to spring for 60hz vs 30hz?
+fordrac1ng81 336 is good enough to I'd targets with. If it's an Armasight 336 the 60 hz is supposed to look better the 640 units I see no advantage to 60hz only a faster battery drain.
What do you mean by "nuke" it? Im new to this thermal stuff. I want to the get the Arma 60hz model. I own a ATN night sight as of now. It is ok, but I had issues with my first one freezing up and it was replaced for me. The new one works. It just does not look nothing like these $2000 night scopes.
What if my unit doesn't have the "Gain" or "AGC Speed" settings in the menu? I only see "Contrast", "Smart Scene", "Sharpness", and "Sky/Sea" on my unit. It's a normal Zeus 2 640 60hz 40mm model. Should I send it back to Armasight for a firmware upgrade?
I have last year's model Armasight Zeus 640 30 Hz which doesn't have the same Main Menu. When I go into the Main Menu, I see the following: Exit, PALETTE, TEMPERATURE, RETICLE, BORESIGHT, SCENARIOS, CORRECTIONS, and SETTINGS.
+Ol Ben Parker ig it has the Tau2 core you can send it back to Armasight for the latest firmware. You will have to call with the serial number to see if it is compatible.
David Niquette NUC (Non Uniformity Correction) function. As the camera including the detector heat up due to it being used, the detector pixels drift. The pixels do not drift uniformly. The camera software compensates for the drift up to a cetain point, but when the limit is reached the NUC function is triggered. Basically what happens is that a uniform shutter is placed between the lens and the detector for a moment and the signal is processed. This is a necessary function in a camera. The NUC function should happen more frequently when the camera first starts. In some high end cameras the frequency of this can be reduced.
H guys. need help.my zeus pro reticle changes position while zooming. x8 it goes a little down and right. at x4 it goes well. the factory told me to reset factory settings and NUC... and don' t find nuc... can anybody please help?? how to??

Are these settings comparable to Flir 536 and 736?
Thanks for your advice!! Great tips...
Thanks for this needed video, about the contrast and other enhancements. I have the 25mm and wish I could get the brightness even lower for white hot.
Thank you!!! Wow that helped tremendously!!
Thanks Todd. This info was exactly what I needed. What doe Nuc it mean? I appreciate the help! Merry Christmas.
nice work Todd
Any advice or tips when using the Fire and Ice view? Would you set up the contrast the same as White or Black hot?
MightyMatt28 it's mostly white hot. of course for any pallet chose the ones that look best to you.
Lone Star Boars Thanks for the quick response.

Hi, can u please make a vid about Zeus Pro line setup. Thanks
Zeus pro is exactly the same, only difference is they are 100% waterproof and rated for 50bmg recoil.

Thank you for the quick response! I was trying to decide between a Pulsar Apex and the Zeus 336 but I think the 336 may be the winner.Lone Star Boars

Todd, the enhancement settings on the Flir pts233 have different ranges. Can you tell me your preferred settings on the Flir pts233 enhancements?

+Syntax Error sounds like you have a old unit. I do not think the firmware update is free you will have to contact Armasight.
Do you know who I could contact at Armasight? Been trying to call their customer support line and emailed and haven't gotten a response.

How do you “Nuke the scope”
nuke by pressing and holding the up button and the down button simultaneously.
