I recently purchased two PVS 14s from TNVC and they are both incredible!!! One thing for the new guys though, my Milspec J arm broke almost immediatly, junk. Just go ahead and get the Wilcox J arm and G24! You will not be sorry.
Thank you for very informative video. Increased my knowledge so I felt comfortable ordering from TNVC. Probably saved TNVC sales person at least a 1/2 hour from answering my questions.
Chip, thank you so much for the explanations. It's good to learn more about this topic. Unfortunately the only thing I can do is admire the good equipment, because I can't afford it.
How come you didn't show off the invg? It's rock solid and uses the dove tail mounting. I'm very happy that TVNC point me towards it and the G11 shroud.
IMO if it is sturdy, it is sturdy. I guess 3 hole is more stable from wobble more backup in case of screw failure, but I don't think it is that big of a deal. My helmet has the one hole shroud and a ratchet strap as backup.
Why wouldn't you want to drill into a ballistic helmet?. I ask this because my ACH doesn't have any pre-drilled holes for NVG mount systems and I've been considering drilling them out because I really want some nods on them. PLEASE RESPOND
The reason is that these helmets are made of composites that are essentially “glued” together... vibrations crack that glue and compromise the integrity of the helmet to an extent. This is why you really don’t wanna drop your helmet, or as some guys do, cut the earcups off to make a high cut helmet. That being said, I really don’t think drilling a little hole would be the end of your helmet, but that’s the reason people say not to drill/cut/drop your helmet
just buy an airsoft mount, they cost a fraction of the price and most of them actually can support the weight of the real steel as the airsoft versions weigh about the same. I would just extra bungee and maybe even zip cord it down.
Please don’t buy anything related to airsoft for holding your multi thousand dollar nvg device that is how you break your nods even if your bungee catches your nods the nvg may still get damaged
If your stupid enough to not 550 your monocular to your helmet, you deserve to lose it. I would never use a mount that requires a buttom to be pushed to rotate it down, in my 13+ years, I have used the Pvs7, 14, and 21's and never used anything but a GI mount and have never had a problem, more more moving parts are more parts to break. Too "Tacticool" for me. Besides the manufacturers need to justify their cost.
You are speaking to folks who have also served and continue to do so, mostly in special operations roles. We understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and given the theme of this video, it's apparent we are showing the options out there, for one to base their opinion. Not everyone who buys night vision has served, and they didn't have the pleasure of being issued the finicky GI rhino mounts. Therefore, they need this info to be able to justify an expense based off of the options. Thanks for stopping by.
This company is BY FAR the best source for information and equipment. ordered my shroud and will be ordering more from these guys. THANKS tnvc.
+timber wolf awesome! Thanks for the order and the kind words!
most expensive too. selling crye nightcap for $95 when you can get it from crye for $66 for example
When the outro music is 2000x louder than the rest of the video

What song is this? It's driving me crazy that I can't remember.
Will my Wilcox g24 work on a norotos universal 1/3 hole mount?
Could you guys compare bridges? Kac, Wilcox, mod are the ones that have been mentioned the most.
In time, my friend, in time. This is a general overview.
What diecast song is that! Can't find it!
Is there really any difference/benefits in the 3-hole shrouds?
People seem to use the ones that come with their helmet

not everyone serves Einstein, you should know this. not everyone has NVG info off the top of their head.
By 550 are you referring to glueing the rhino to the helmet?
@@Marreadparacord, also referred as 550 cord.
