Rick turn your mic down and the guest mic up can hardly hear them so have the volume up when they talk and then when you laugh or talk it blows my eardrums out lol. I love your podcast you guys do a great job and have awesome guest thanks for what you do!!
To DK’s point of “never let the facts get in the way of a good story”; We were on the pole with Joe Nemecheck for the Winston Open with a track record of 181.519. Sacks qualified fourth at 180.681. 😂
I grew up at RIR, well, in the shadow of it anyway & I was alway's there watching race's from 66, when I was 5yrs old, till they sold the joint in 87. I saw DK race there, along with the rest of those great racer's many many time's! Those were truly Great day's, when an infield ticket was 5-6 bucks! When the screwdriver incident happened, I was down inside turn's 2-5 with a couple of buddies, but we could see DK's car break in 6 & him coasting out of our site on down to turn 7. LOL! If we had known what was taking place in that camper, we would have been down there helping DK rock it! 😂!! The stories he tell's are priceless & he very much remind's of my Late Grandfather, who had legitimately done so many legendary thing's in his life, that you could never call him on any of the BS he spewed, because you could just never know for sure, he very well may have done it! Miss ya Gramps 🙏 RIP
These interviews are awesome! DK is such a great storyteller. I listen to these interviews to remember why I fell in love with nascar. That bellowing someone complaining about was just part of the story...
That commercial about the most interesting man in the world. That need's to be D.K. I hope you have another series on him.I laughed my ass off about the homan/moody story and bringing a stripper through inspection.I'd bet he could tell some story's that would make a hooker blush. It would have to be scene vault rater r superstar edition.
I quite drinking when Ernie Irvan was in the Kroger car and spun out for the 2nd time out in the Busch Race in Rockingham March of 91 or 92 and haven’t drank anything since (haven’t had a good day since)
DK is correct Charlotte 86 was the only car Richard Petty drove that he/his family did not prepare. Rick's right about Petty driving for Curb, but those were prepared under Richard's supervision. Both right.
Off topic: I was able after alot of searching I found a copy of Rick's book "Second to None, History of the Busch series " Excellent book 5 star well worth time searching! Recommend to any race fan. Plus you will get a craving for Thomas Brothers Country Ham!
What a colorful person, I used to read Speed Sport News to see who was in DK's car that week, surprised about the Dewitt comment they were from my area and well regarded, the problem was they had the money and DK didn't !
Dude! Please learn how to adjust your mic levels. Turn it up to where I can hear the person you’re trying to interview and then you laugh into the microphone and dang near blow my TV apart. Lol
This is such a interesting interview, DK has to be the biggest snake oil salesman alive ,what a story ,please be a part 5 .
I love to listen to DK stories. ....
Please let there be another segment to this one! He's great! I'd love to meet him and let him buy a night's worth of beers.
You guys could sell tickets for this, don't stop now. D.K. is so interesting, keep it coming!!
What a cool guy. I am so glad you guys are interviewing these somewhat unsung heroes of the sport. They were the backbone of NASCAR.
DK is one of the most colorful and interesting people in NASCAR history. What a life and what a story, hope you do more with him!
DK is a character, I could listen to these stories forever
Dk Ulrich Team Owner Of Ted Musgrave From 1990 To 1993 Between Car Number 2 And 55 Pontiac Grand Prix Thanks For Uploading Rick And Steve

If DK ever writes a book, not only do I want to read it, I want to invest in it.
Subscribed LOVE THEAS story's from the old timers
This dude is sharp as a tack for 80 years old! He could be the new "World's most interesting man"
Dk for president
The boat story sounds like he damaged the shaft seal when it got tangled in the painters rope .

7:39 DK didn't finish the race, but he did finish 😉

WTF is wrong with the sound balancing!!!!????
YESSSSS! I think the host swallowed the mic!
Loose nut behind the sound board …
At 5 minutes put the video on mute and used the closed captions- couldn't stand the bellowing interviewer-

I wonder is the “Silver Queen” still sitting on the bottom?
AMAZING life this DK lived.... but mannnnnnn pull the mic away from your face and put it closer to his plaeaseeeeeeee!
Outside of a book this man missed zero opportunities!! And I hope I’m wrong about the book. (Or books)
DK should be President. Interesting man. Sure enjoyed listening to him.
He acts a little crooked. Hope we all can repent, turning our backs on sin and follow Jesus before its too late
All gods are myths so he’s 👍 good
