I extended the waist on some of my work pants and saved a good $100 thanks to you. I’m a novice sewer especially with a machine but this video was just perfect in teaching me what to do, straight and to the point. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for the mostly easy and fast way to fix the job was wonderful, I have 2 brand new , I ganna fix on your way , your husband should be very proud to have smart and lovely wife.🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
From this, I have learned that I was wrong in thinking I could let out the waist on my own and I have to wear my dress uniform tomorrow😂 guess it’s just gonna have to be a tight fit for the day
I've sewed simple things like patch work, actual patches all by hand but now I need to let out my jeans from the waist all the way down to the legs, had an incident last year and gained weight. I don't mind doing it by hand but any tips. Not able to afford a whole new set of pants.
@@hesewsshesews5969 ok awesome I started to do that I have an old pair of carpenter jeans so I cut down one seam already from the top of the pockets down to the leg Should I do both sides.

Happy to help! Let us know what other alterations you are struggling with!
I hit the jackpot my husband needs his dress pants let out and you have provided me with the knowledge to do it. Thank You & I love your machine.
Thanks Nancy, good luck!
That is satisfying when the thread comes out so easily.
Hi from New Zealand.
It really is satisfying! Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I followed your instructions and used my wife's sewing machine. The suit pants turned out great.
Great job!
LOVE your shirt. Praise God.
Thank you for the video. It is perfect for a beginner to use to do this to his 3 dollar thrift store slacks. ; )
Your welcome. We always advise to practice on thrift store clothing first. It's a bonus if they fit you after!
Great vid. This is what I was looking for. Thank you

I have the same exact paints, Thank you
this is extremely helpful. thanks so much!!
You're welcome!
Jess, can you tell me something? I can’t see clearly in video. How did you have enough fabric in actual waistband?
Usually if there is extra fabric in the seat there will be extra in the waistband. If not you will have to add some.

There isn't usually any extra fabric in jeans, we would need to add a strip of fabric at the seam.

Very nice and simple great job 👍
Thanks sifu!
Curious, why use a blade instead of a seam ripper?
It is faster and they are cheaper and sharper. When you tailor professionally, you need to save time and money wherever possible.
Thanks for sharing you make it seemed so easy
Thanks Jeanie!
Hellos I see you are starting higher on the bottom . Where is the starting line is it from the seam to up 3-4 inches?
We try to start as close to the crotch of the pants as possible
wowzers me trowzers finally fit . i want to thankyou twice , first for lesson and secondly because the choice was to diet ; no no no
Good to hear!
I always wonder what that meant. Now I know.

How to for slacks without extra
Sounds like a false hem. I'll add it to the list of videos to make. Stay tuned!
