Alex Van Halen just put everything on auction, equipment, memorabilia etc. He is officially done and will not play with anyone except Eddie. 😢

The great Jim valvano said everyday you should try to be moved to tears. It is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign that you're still living.

Love your reaction Mugs. Eddie was the only person other than my immediate family that brought tears to my eyes when he passed. His music kept me sane during very troubling times as a child. I understand how you feel. Thank you Eddie.

The day he died, I came home from work and sat in the dark, had a few drinks and watched various Van Halen videos. I remember watching there on my couch with tears streaming down my cheeks. No other “ celebrity “ death will ever affect me like that again.

I'm a lifelong Edward fan and will argue till I die, he was The GOAT!!! That being said and I'll stand by this. This album was his Best effort since the early Roth days!! I'm thinking it was a special LP. First with Wolf. First with Dave in Years and last with his brother Alex. I Love this album.

I’m a gigantic Classic Van Halen fan. So much so, that I got condolence texts when Eddie died and I had never met him, never closer than a few rows away. Funny thing is, I first cried (joyfully of course) when this album finally came out. Had only been waiting 28 years for it. The first 30 seconds of Honeybabysweetiedoll just got me. But one time a coupla years ago, after he died, they last 15 or so seconds of Beats Workin just turned me into a waterhead. EVH is such a huge part of my life (and I’m not alone, for sure.) hearing that as the end of the last VH album , was a lot.

Hey man, you're only human. Every now and then we all moments where something hits us in the feels and gets the best of our emotions. Eddie gets to me at times. My oldest brother was a big music fan and had an excellent record collection. I was 9 years old when Van Halen's first album came out. I remember my brother bringing me and my other brother into his room to check out Eruption. Which at the time was mind blowing. He'd hang out in his room playing all of his albums. from Zeppelin, The Stones, Alice Cooper. Triumph, Rush, you name it. But Van Halen was one or his top 3. My brother succumbed to cancer about a year before Eddie's passing. When I hear VH it takes me back to seeing my brother pulling out a record and dropping the needle on Woman and Children First or whatever the flavor of the day was, and it gets to me. RIP Brother and King Edward.

I am an ED....HEAD. I truly Iove the man. Yet, the day he died I did not cry. Not even close. But, I have cried numerous times since. A song, or a phrase I've heard him play hundreds of times hits me, and I'm reminded of his pure genius, his joy in playing, and the fact that nobody will ever make a guitar sound like he could. Then, I remember that that is over. That moment in history that has been such a part of me for decades, all the memories he gave me, all the moments, the joy has ended. And, I feel so, so, so blessed to have been here for it, to have experienced it and felt it. Edward, for us guitar players, is a lifelong friend and inspiration. He really is part of us, as silly as that sounds. We hold him sacred.
