- Here is a powerful ballad by one of the greatest bands in history. Let's nail down the chords and strumming patterns - as well as some of the more prominent embellishments. We'll do a slow playalong and then it's full speed ahead for a full length playalong at concert speed. We'll add some lead ideas toward the end so you can jam with others as well. Ton of fun!

And.....we'll be playing along with the fabulous BEATBUDDY drum machine pedal and we'll be using the amazing AEROS Loop Studio pedal from Singular Sound. Play along with me!

Thanks for that - glad you’re enjoying. All the best! Shane
Wild Shane playing Wild Horses….what a combo….great one Shane.
Thank you Johnny - always great to hear from you. I had fun with this one - gorgeous song. Hope you and K are making it through the winter ok - ugh! Play that guitar lad, Shane
Your non musical impresion reminded me of when my dad started playing I literally laughed out loud. You made my night with that.
Ha! That’s fabulous Sonny - thanks for that! Shane
No offense to the other channel's on Yt ,but you're style of teaching is down my alley. I learned old man down the road this morning, and what an awsome song to learn. Thanks 🙏
A big thank you for that. Glad it’s working for you. Cheers, Shane
I like to first watch Shane for the entertainment factor and to isolate viewing alternately only the strumming hand, then the fret hand. Then I listen to the original song. Lastly, I apply what I observed to applying myself to the lesson. Shane gets at least 3 views from me. Sometimes when I go away from viewing, I'll put video on 2x speed to play an extra view for Shane. A small token for his great lesson.
Thank you Nick - that’s SUPER! Shane
Another cracker from a master teacher ….thanks Shane …Best regards from England.
Thanks for that - so glad you enjoyed. Happy to have you here. Shane
Im so glaf i found your channel. Youre the best teacher ive ever had
Thank you Tony - that’s so great! Very happy to have you here with us. Cheers! Shane
Huge Stones fan, great song, you are a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher! Thank you, Alex in Norway.
Thank you Alex - so glad to have you here with us. Cheers, Shane
Another great video. My Crash and Burn moments are gradually fading away! The best instructional videos on TH-cam. Thanks Shane from the North West of UK.
Thank you Pete - so glad you’re enjoying! Shane
I enjoy when you start the song by playing some of it. Gets the feel into my head.
Thanks Doug. Cheers, Shane
Poor Shane didn't want to cut the 6th string from his guitar. There's a hilarious video of a bleary eyed Keith showing someone how to play in Open G. 2 old guys are fumbling and scratching the headstock, on a loaned guitar, as the 6th is removed. You know the guitar techs in the building were dying inside. I appreciate a campfire version in standard tuning. Another Great lesson.
Ha! Thanks Ray - that's really great. Best to you and hope you have fun with it, Shane
Love playing this😁and it really helped because it’s a long song and plenty of time to get into it! I really laughed when you made that comment that Singer always thinks it’s about them 😅Thank-you🙏
Thank you Judith / very glad you enjoyed. Best to you! Shane
You have no Idea how much you have helped me.Thank you so very much
Hey Morgan - that’s so great - thank you. Very glad it helped, Cheers! Shane
Thanks for emphasizing the right hand strum. LORD I need all that I can get!
You’re not alone in that department Joe. Keep at it and have fun! Shane
I appreciate that you take the time to explain how to clean things up and make transitions. Life changing!
Thanks, Shane! 🙏
By obligation pedagogical and artistic I put a thumb up si senor.
Keep going on
How rich are yours videos to improve our skills guitare ....
Thank you very much Shane
The only thing i ever remember in that song is c d g. I hear that in my head. Nice to strum along with you.
You are a great teacher thank you
Thank you Alain - my best to you! Shane
I was never good at teaching my students the up down up up down stuff. I always told them to listen to the song and play it the way they interpret it. How the feel the song. Thats how I play.
Thanks Eric - I have found the approach I used on strumming in this video helps people who might be struggling with proper down/up strumming. Best to you, Shane
Always good to see some Stones lessons. Might I suggest "Ruby Tuesday" or "Waiting on a Friend" possibly in the future. Thanks Shane.
Great suggestions for sure - thanks for that. Hope you have fun with it! Shane
Another great lesson from Shane! Keep ‘em coming, Thank you! 🎸🙏🏼
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks! Shane
Hi Shane - thanks for the lesson in standard tuning, great idea! Sounded great!
Thanks Jim - I appreciate that - lots of great videos out there showing the open G tuning - a lot of people will enjoy the standard tuning version I think. Cheers, Shane
Great lesson. You make it look so easy. Lots of work for me to do! Thanks for sharing 👍🎸
Thanks Rob and Angie - so glad you enjoyed. Have fun with it! Shane
Wow what a lesson. He's so talented.
Thank you Nicole, Shane
Laying down an acoustic 12string is fun as a loop...big sound that helps get the feel with the lead guitar.
Great song and wonderful lesson Shane.
😎👍
Thanks Richard - I totally agree. A 12 string would be super for a loop. I had one years ago but didn't use it enough. Always appreciate the input. Cheers, Shane

Top shelf stuff! Fun to play. A master of your craft! Thanks for your tips. The play along is always fun.
Thank you David - very glad you enjoyed. I love your feedback about the play along. Exactly what I’m hoping for. Best to you, Shane
I watched another of your videos and, again, I have to say your directional approach is great for me.
I appreciate the basics of any kind of instruction. You (and I) can move forward at our own pace. You, with how to express the content, and me for how to understand.
The left hand is where I try to expand myself and need lessons like this. I can feel these songs I watch with my right hand, naturally. ✌️
Great Lesson all around
Teaching!
Thanks Albert - glad you enjoyed. Cheers, Shane
Love watching you my friend.
Great lesson Steve.,
Elvin Bishops
(I fooled around and fell in love) another real slow tempo one with all of these same chords adding in a large variety of A chords. Being Am, Amaj7,Am7, Am6.
But its a great one to play and sing to as well and it has the Bm chord also. Further more you can use that Fadd#9 followed by that C5 chord as it goes around again after using the G and Bm chords then use Fadd9 then C5. With the right tempo it sounds great. I just thought id try it and i sounds way better
I LOVE THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN THE SONG AND HOW ITS ARRANGED , AND THAT IT HAS ITS OWNE SO CALLED HEART BEAT WITHIN THE MELODY . YOU MAKE IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND. THANK YOU , LOOK FORWARD LEARNING NEW SONGS ,

Thanks Don - glad you've liked - always appreciate the feedback and hope you're doing well, Shane
Hey Shane , I love these play along songs. I learned this as a Black Crows version a long time ago. I like this one better and find myself trying to relearn it correctly and stumble but it's all good. I just finished building my 3rd acoustic and happy with the sound I'm getting from it. I have a long way to go as a player and a beginner builder but I would encourage everyone to try it. Challenges your mind and skill. Thank you for these lessons, Jeff
Thanks Jeff - very glad you’re enjoying. My best to you! Shane

Thank you Carlos - happy to have you here with us. My best to you. Shane
I didn't hear whether you mentioned it or not, (I heard you play it) but going from the F to the C, take off the second finger in the F, let the open g string sound before hitting the C chord. That's a real nice embellishment! I'm so glad i found you. Great job, Shane!
Love this, thanks! Need a David Crosby tune soon, please.
Thanks Mike - always happy to hear from you. Definitely need some Crosby soon. Cheers, Shane

Thank you so much for your hard work Shane. Love your style of teaching! I love this song too. I'm going to get cracking learning it right away. I bought a beatbuddy last month inspired by your videos and honestly it's made my practice so much more fun!! Hi Shane, another great lesson. Thanks for that. I already recommended so many of your lessons that lost the count. I would like to ask you (if you find the time to answer) what is the equipment, apart of the guitar of course, that you use for your lessons since the sound from your guitar is amazing. Maybe you can explain more about your acoustic Guitar EQ in use, amp settings etc Feel free to share your wisdom cause all is good :) thanks once again
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 bravo
Thank you Barbara - I hope you have fun with it! Shane
@@GuitarAtWork si molto grazie Maestro.
Thanks for the lesson, as a rule of thumb, please try to tell us at what count you are starting a solo on, it's something that too few online teachers do in their lessons that is greatly helpful!
Shane another fabulous job! Thanks ! While your on the Stones how about gimme Shelter in standard tuning
Thanks Tony - glad you enjoyed. Great suggestion. Love the Stones. Cheers, Shane
Hi Shane you are a wonderful teacher I've learned a lot from you. Even bought a beat buddy. I was wondering if you remember what setting this song is? You say 70bpm but not the setting thanks again!
