Thx a lot. My family member (aged 55) got 2cm thyroid nodule diagnosed. Heart beats normal & ECG normal. Doctor said not much to worry for now. So, we researched and made some hypothesis. After 3 years of weird symptoms I’m finally having a thyroid ultrasound tomorrow. I also ordered my own blood tests for: (reading off the form) - TSH - free T4 - free T3 - T3 - anti TPO - DHEA-S - progesterone - LH - FSH - cortisol - IGF 1 - prolactine - oestradiol - jodium I’ve had swollen lymph nodes for 3 years, fatigue, depression, malaise, forgetfulness, muscle/joint pain, weight gain, puffy face, nerve pain near the lymph nodes, fluid retention in legs and arms, breathlessness, ribs/chest tender to touch… the list goes on and on. I finally decided to push through when I started to get pressure near my thyroid every time I ovulated. It comes back every month and it keeps me up at night because I can’t lie down on my back. Weird things keep popping up, and my doctor thinks its anxiety. Also a side note, my mom has Hashimoto’s and rheumatoid arthritis. Is an ultrasound and these blood panels enough to diagnose me? Could it be missed? Would an MRI be helpful? I am so sick and tired of always being sick and tired. Thank you for reading ❤️
@mrsmickayla Hey there! I’m not a doctor by any means. However, I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism since I was a pre-teen. Majority of your symptoms are what lead to my hypothyroidism diagnosis. Including hair loss. I’ve noticed after I had my son my hair loss has become more apparent. The thyroid is very tricky, because it’s something that you continuously have to check. Thyroid hormones fluctuate, so sometimes doctors don’t catch the spike. I would highly recommend that you keep having those panels checked as well as a thyroid ultrasound. If there is any abnormalities they’ll be able to literally see them in the scan. Hope this helps!
@@Oso96637 Thank you so much taking the time to respond! It means a lot to me. They saw a very small (2 mm) lump/cyst/nodule on my thyroid that wasn’t there last year, but my doctor persists it’s anxiety and doesn’t think it’s necessary to keep an eye on it. Thankfully the blood panels were totally fine, but… sometimes I just wish they would find SOMETHING so I could maybe get rid of the symptoms. I’m not sure if I should continue to push, honestly after these years I am exhausted from arguing with my doctor. He sent me to two therapist, both sent me BACK to him and he still won’t listen. Trying to heal myself, get in better shape and focus on my happiness but everyday there’s a nagging voice telling me there’s something wrong. Thanks for sharing your story❤️
I had an ultrasound last week because my thyroid levels are all over the place. Also having trouble swallowing, I’m sweating a lot . This all just started back in September. The ultrasound showed several nodules. The doctor said they are too small to biopsy, so they’re doing more bloodwork. I’m actually not concerned about it. Thanks for the video.
Hello, I'm facing hyperthyroid and I am having trouble swallowing, too. I used to be able to swallow pills and supplements with no problem until now, they feel like they're getting stuck in my throat, scary. My doc says the same thing about my nodules that they are too small to do a biopsy. I want to trust my doctor about not having a biopsy, however a family friend had one done and drained and said it never came back(the nodule). Are you having other issues beside the trouble swallowing? I am having neck pain. Thanks, be well :)

Can it be because of the high oxalates diet? if that is the cause for kidney stones I believe oxalate calcifications can also be the reason for thyroid nodules.
I'm 18 years old and about to turn 19 in this March 2024. I'm a college student, and I've noticed that I have a large and hard lump on my neck exactly where this is described as being. Here's hoping that it's benign and that I can get it removed without it turning out to be some form of disease.

My Sister lives in Alberta Canada and had her thyroid completely removed. Every month she did a biopsy and would do yearly ultra sound. It wasnt until after she came out of surgery which lasted for many hours they told her that the lump on her neck was very large almost reaching her stomach, which the ultrasound did not show. She was put on different kinds of medication. Almost three months after her surgery they are just calling her to tell her that the tumor was cancerous. What tardiness is that?
Just left ER for car accident and Cat scan showed there is a significant asymmetric enlargement of the left thyroid lobe with possible multiple nodules & trying to understand. My Mother had hers taken out
I had a TSH of .007. Doc ordered more tests, plus ultrasound of thyroid. Had a nodule.
