Fair I understand but to me I am thinking of building a meta deck. I figure if I do build a meta deck I can get more insight on card interaction that I normally don't see at the lgs's that I go to. I do enjoy seeing people play decks that counter meta decks because in my personal opinion that is what makes mtg a special tcg compared to alot of other tcg.
I loved those lists because most of them seemed to be original takes on things rather than the copy pastas Also for his Korvold list has he looked at curse of opulence?
The Kess list doesnt play Agatha's Soul Cauldron because it uses necrotic ooze as a wincon. If you exile your creature they are not in the graveyard anymore to gain the abilities as Necrotic Ooze.
Surveil lands are a great way to get value out of mana you don't need when you can fetch for one. I'm not alone in suggesting most decks should consider running one.
Genuine question: What would you title this video? I think the thing a lot of these decks have in common is that they avoid being weak to blue interaction or advantage engines.
@@LemorasCardsI'm new to cEDH and I'm definitely not a content creator so it's a skill I won't claim to have. If it were me, I would keep it totally factual 'Top 16 Breakdown, X event' and then if you want a little flair maybe a 'Surprising deck(s) that gives meta-Blue a run for its money'
@@Surberus1066it's something I'm actively trying to experiment with to get a hang of. It tends to help a ton when I highlight that atypical decks are featured, and a lot of time focusing on what the event doesn't seem to drive much traffic.
I prefer the less meta decks builds, getting tired of the same ol stuff

Jaheira/GA player here! Thanks for covering the list! It was my first event and I had an amazing time and am looking forward to the next one!
Congrats to Eric on the top 16! Which of these decks was your favorite? Let me know down below!
My boy James taking godo to top 16 is that business and I'm here for it
Thanks again for another awesome tournament breakdown! It's even cooler that it's one of ours
Thanks!
I really like how you have been presenting the top 16 breakdowns.
I really like how you go through these decks one card type at a time. We’re both figuring it out together as you go through it
It’s a grind to do it all with mono red; but we ain’t stopping the chain! Gotta put godo back on the top 🕺
Double mono red in the top 16 is sick
Wargate putting cards directly to the field is huge, honestly. Definitely a must counter.
True, super tricky and flexible.
I loved those lists because most of them seemed to be original takes on things rather than the copy pastas
Also for his Korvold list has he looked at curse of opulence?
Matthew, CRANKIN’ em out!!!
Doin my best 👌
The hero we don't deserve!
Thnx for talking about my list even tho it was just about how I’m running weird fallout rocks lol 😂
Haha any art that isn't what Moxfield defaults to always sticks out like crazy to me
I had a 2mv Jhoira list that I liked a lot... didnt win, but it was fun
Got to meet Eric at the tourney heck of a great guy!
He's the best!
@@LemorasCards he truly is. I was piloting a korvold deck while there as well and he helped give me some advice for tweaking it after the tourney.
So do people actually have $4200 time twister in their deck?
Most people don't, this event like many was proxy friendly.
The Kess list doesnt play Agatha's Soul Cauldron because it uses necrotic ooze as a wincon. If you exile your creature they are not in the graveyard anymore to gain the abilities as Necrotic Ooze.
Agathas Soul Cauldron does a pretty good necrotic Ooze impression though on top of being generically pretty good
@@LemorasCards it needs some extra steps to be as good as necrotic ooze. Ooze just needs buried alive to win
Felidar also goes infinite with saheeli rai
Further, continuing to jam oko to elk one rings and increasingly powerful commanders.
On the Magda card about dragons: after getting maskwood into play you can smack things with that card hard since everything goes dragon
I built my own lord of the Nazgul & the deck is crazy powerful if built right, If.
P.s. the lotn deck posted seems very unfocused.
I love you spending more time on the spicier decks, thanks again for sharing!
Love seeing Magda do well. Not as good as my boy Gaddock Teeg tho! ❤
I was the Omnath! Thanks for covering the list
Any idea where we can watch gameplay from this tourney?
Surveil lands wouldn’t be good in the Nazgul deck. It’s not an upgrade when the land is forced etb tapped...”people”

I once was going to play Jaheira
Really love the content. Really hate the click-baitey titles...
