Hey Abhinav just pick one guy who had not driven any of these motorcycle like Honda or RE classic 350 and let him drive both and then ask him how does that felt that will be cool if you can do so !!! Either way what do you think ?
The Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor is popular in the UK for the retro look and simplicity. It is a really nice motorbike. I now live in Thailand where RE has started selling their motorbikes but they are too expensive because of high import tax compared to the Honda that are manufactured in Thailand. RE are starting to send the components to Thailand and assemble in Thailand in mid 2021 to get round the import tax and make the motorbike more competitive. You have to compare the RE 350 against the Honda CB350 Highness. The Honda wins hands down.
RE had just came alive in the past 5 years or so, prior to that R&D was pretty much static. Honda had been on the CB350 platform comparatively for a long while. It may have entered only this year in India but this platform has been in existence for a long while comparatively to RE 350. Popular in the European markets and the US. R&D had constantly been happening on this platform by Honda. I would expect this to outperform RE350 in all features. Honda is just currently testing the higher end platform, I am pretty sure higher capacity variants would be introduced based on the response to CB350.
Good video ..and by the way Im THAT 2.05 LAC PERSON confused between both.....still waiting for RE meteor 350 to launch as well...good job ...keep it up
*INTERCEPTOR PROs* : (a) Awesome twin cylinder sound. (b) Excellent torque (c) looks good (d) Legacy - it pays homage to the Interceptor from the 1960s. (e) Good brakes (f) Loads of accessories be it from RE, Carberry, Ohlins and others - it even has a 850cc big bore kit for USD 650. If you have money to spend, you can pimp this bike (g) Pride of ownership - a genuine British brand with a rich history. (h) Wide dealership network and support *CB350* : (a) Good finishing and workmanship (b) Lower operating costs - fuel efficiency and servicing expenses. This is an alternative to the Benelli Imperial 400 and RE 350. That is it.
What I like about Abhinav's videos is that it legitimately feels like you're standing next to him and speaking to the guest or listening to Abhinav himself. Great video, great camera work and a great talk, overall. 👏
@Swach Hindi should I compare him with salman khan? ..... half of the population of our country treat that name as a slang. BTW comparing with a good person doesn't mean you are dependent on western countries.
@Swach Hindi A few things here, Firstly, learning and adopting form other cultures is not a bad thing. Infact India is(or should I say was) one of the most inclusive places on the planet. We are so diverse for a reason. Secondly, i think there is nothing wrong in incorporating "foreign" words into our "own" languages if it helps. Languages and cultures are not a set of rules. They change, they evolve. And there's nothing wrong with it. Like it or not English is a global language and wanting to learn it is no crime. I do cringe on the fake accent tho, we can stick to whatever accent we naturally have. There is no pride in being born into a particular culture or a particular place. And finally about those "praises", Like it or not, stereotypes are inevitable. Italian food, German engeneering, British motercycles, Swiss chocolate etc. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are the best, they are stereotypes which might have been true at some point. So calling telugu Italian of the east is not a bad thing. Italian is often calked the most romantic language there is, so that's definitely a good thing. Also if you want to communicate something, it's always better to compare it with what is already been globally considered best. When you say Indian Shakespeare, you are trying to help them understand by giving an analogy they can understand.
@Swach Hindi You are the one disappointed that we are not a dominant race and iam the one with inferiority complex??? And i don't believe any race is superior or interior to anyone. Also i don't want to dominate anyone. No one approved or accepted English as a universal language, it's mostly because of the colonisation English just was common. Also in todays day and age you will miss out on a lot of knowledge if you don't know English. Almost every well-known book in every language is available in English. Like it or not, that's the way it is and it isn't a bad thing. Also language is not an identity. Language is no more than a tool for communication. Which language you speak has no consequence. Again, there shouldn't be any pride attached to language or culture.
I thank you for the intelligent thought provoking discussion. Ultimately we try to buy a bike which subconsciously is an extension of who we are a a person.
Man that Honda is an emotion to Japanese bike lovers as Indian market was filled with this machines in 80s and also the fast hip culture of 90s , so this Honda is an emotion more than RE, and Honda also maintains the clean smooth engineering, and the high quality finish and painting even better than the RE to fit the need of mordern riders, but RE is also improving because of competition, great machines
I think if honda launches cb500. Which will be the bored out version of cb350. Then it would be the perfect city and highway cruiser with so many features, tubeless tyres, good build quality and reliability which RE misses out..
I own a bullet 350 and a classic 350 as well. I am so in love with this bike . But there is no bigwing Honda here in jammu kashmir. There should be atleast one bigwing honda in every state and union territory.
@Nate HIGGERS I'm not sure about that though. They want to build a separate idea of more exclusive, expensive bikes. They are basically doing what Maruti did with Neza.
You hit the right note there friend! I am currently in a similar situation thinking about whether to go for highness or interceptor. I am currently riding Unicorn 150. So highness seems a more logical move but I love the interceptor. Also, I ride at 80-100 most of the time. Highness should be good enough for now I guess. And I will get a few modifications done to it.
Loved you both. Nice presentation. Also I felt the color and design could be improved in hness. It doesn't give premium looks in those colors.. Just personal opinion.
Totally agree with the fact the interceptor looks more classic and contemporary, also from the looks of it it's a more premium looking bike compared to the Honda.
Honda has ticked all the right boxes when it comes to CB350...As per my opinion, I wud go in for just 1 small change......the bike looks more retro, classic and mature in single tone rather than dual tone...So, the top version (pro) should be available in single tone too......Your thoughts Abhinav...(I asked for your opinion, coz your videos show you are more of a mature, relaxed rider like me who is least bothered about torque and speed and more inclined towards ride quality.....Cheers !!!
The only practical difference between the two variants is an extra horn and Bluetooth functionality. If you don't care about those two things and prefer the paint scheme on the DLX, you can easily and happily save 5K+.
After watched a more than a 50 videos on Honda CB350 and CB 350rs. I found bike is damn awesome. Also watched real, superb. Most of videos really wasted a time. About interceptor it’s not good for long ride as it start weighing on wrists and also vibrated on higher speeds. But the this fkng Honda is damn bike, that it’s beating in heart. Even on higher speed Honda smooth, doesn’t matter longer or shorter, fits everywhere.
How comfortable is it to ride #honda #cb350 at 110 Kmph on the highway, 1. does it feel under powered, 2. are there vibrations, and 3. does one feels confident to hold that speed ( 110 Kmph ) and maneuver through the highway traffic ? Also, you rightly said that these 2 motorcycles cannot be compared as they belong to two different target audience and engine specs. I would say find someone with classic 350, that will be a justified comparison .
For any bike 10kmph less than top speed is never a crusing Speed, common sense. Atleast this bike will reach a 100. Unlike classic which takes almost 25secs full throttle to do that.
From his previous videos, I gather that he thinks the CB can hold 100 or 110 all day with minimal vibrations creeping in at around the 90 kph mark, but not strong enough to feel unpleasant. He did mention that 5th gear is pretty much overdrive and one shouldn't expect much roll-on acceleration from 4th to 5th.
@@ShubhamKainthola03 Even though I've never ridden this bike I can say that it won't hold 110kph comfortably regardless of how tall they made 5th gear. The engine has similar output to that of an RE 350 and is somewhat similar in gearing as well. A RE feels like it's gonna fall apart above 70. This thing should do about 80-90 smoothly but any higher means your revving it close to its limit...even with that tall 5th.
Very interesting comparison. U dont understand the necessity of such comparison of bikes standing at two different price point until u watch the video. The questions asked were very relevant. U guys mentioned abt how the video is not abt the comparison, but i believe the video actual does what u didn’t intend to.....good job guys!!!
A really good vdo,as it should be.Informative,to the point,no blah blah,a gentlemans talk .I d like to.see more such .I think in India radiator is needed on premium bikes.
You guys are very charismatic and the discussion is very informative! I also prefer the look of the Interceptor more, just because it looks more sporty. But the Hness doesn't look bad too. The spoked wheels of the interceptor does match also the retro bike theme.
Great video and energy guys. You had a good guest with you. Nice bikes. I think I'll buy the honda. That's a gentleman's bike. I'm 36 now so it's time for that.
@@farzinbi then long stroke 500 single definitely won't be producing more than 30 h.p. As RE 500 used to produce 26-27 BHP. And that will be slower than interceptor.
@@Redliningcrewguy but it's all about that sweet single cylinder thump you hear when you are crusing alone, a vibration free 500 or 650 thumper would be amazing. Even the interceptor is not all about speed.
A 500 twin Honda CB sounds amazing, but the added cost would price it way above the RE 650s, sadly. I'm not really sure a single cylinder 500 would do too well.
I drive a car that gives me over 16kmpl at 150+ constant speed and I'm not driving a motorcycle on the highways, my motorcycle mostly stays in the city or may take up medium distance trips for which I find the cb350 saves me some money on the motorcycle as well as on the fuel economy while delivering all the electronic goodies, features and smoothness that I need. Interceptor is more for the motorcycle enthusiast who invests more time with it and loves to use the 650cc's full potential with mods. Really cool video and nice comparison while drinking coffee and chilling. P.S. I'm eagerly waiting for the RE's newer 350cc motorcycles.
BTW some 14 years ago, I chose Honda unicorn over Bajaj Pulsar due to similar reasons of smoothness, zero vibration, 'balanced' pick up and braking and overall a decent guy's feel!

I’m the same as he is and it’s not a very big deal here in India 🇮🇳 always liked the 350s and the 500s and this 650 that I own is leagues apart from each other. It’s undoubtedly the best 650 in the world . It’s cheap to maintain too!!! Yeh the Interceptor is not even comparable to the Honda H’ness. They are a vastly different. Bike altogether. RE350 = Royal feeling, Perticular mindset, Show bazi.
Honda CB350= Great value for money, Reliable, More practical.
You should add RE 350 only. Because Himalayan and 650 twins arr equally good bikes. And even more value for money than this Honda
Re is not at all show now a days because everyone is having almost re
@@nareshp3523 Perticular mindset..
Yes. I wanted the maroon single tone but not available in Pro.
@@abhinavbhatt I got the maroon red just coz of its colour and it's refinement, then switched to Honda from RE after 21 years of motorcycleing.
How is the comfort and performance compared to Imperiale 400? And also, is the central stand rusting?
I have not ridden the Imperiale.
@@abhinavbhatt ok how is it compared to interceptor?
Its a very useful video., and the questions especially., I had this cat on wall decision with h'nss & 650. Thank you guys.
Honest review.. Can u do a comparison video with jawa as well?
Quality of jawa is not up to mark
Soon.
Good thing about you is something the way you explain the things.dats superbbbbb. I love that man
What a satisfying reviews. Thankyou to both.
A properly detailed review after summing up d other videos too. Answered almost everything one can come up with. Hats off buddy. ✌️👊
How comfortable is it to ride #honda #cb350 at 110 Kmph on the highway,
1. does it feel under powered,
2. are there vibrations, and
3. does one feels confident to hold that speed ( 110 Kmph ) and maneuver through the highway traffic ?
Also, you rightly said that these 2 motorcycles cannot be compared as they belong to two different target audience and engine specs. I would say find someone with classic 350, that will be a justified comparison .
For any bike 10kmph less than top speed is never a crusing Speed, common sense. Atleast this bike will reach a 100. Unlike classic which takes almost 25secs full throttle to do that.
@@SuperImbadude Did I say 110 Kmph is a cruising speed ?
From his previous videos, I gather that he thinks the CB can hold 100 or 110 all day with minimal vibrations creeping in at around the 90 kph mark, but not strong enough to feel unpleasant. He did mention that 5th gear is pretty much overdrive and one shouldn't expect much roll-on acceleration from 4th to 5th.
@@ShubhamKainthola03
Even though I've never ridden this bike I can say that it won't hold 110kph comfortably regardless of how tall they made 5th gear.
The engine has similar output to that of an RE 350 and is somewhat similar in gearing as well. A RE feels like it's gonna fall apart above 70.
This thing should do about 80-90 smoothly but any higher means your revving it close to its limit...even with that tall 5th.
90-95 all day.
Awesome review man & so brief ..getting myself an Interceptor soon..Cheers from Meghalaya ✌️
That's a real honest discussion, love it. Good job.
Thanks
A really good vdo,as it should be.Informative,to the point,no blah blah,a gentlemans talk .I d like to.see more such .I think in India radiator is needed on premium bikes.
Video i was waiting for.nice insight on the money factor towards the end.
You guys are very charismatic and the discussion is very informative!
I also prefer the look of the Interceptor more, just because it looks more sporty. But the Hness doesn't look bad too.
The spoked wheels of the interceptor does match also the retro bike theme.
thankyou abhinav i do really needed this comparison.
Booked and expecting my cb 350 by jan end ..they said thr will be a revision in price for 2021
Great man, tell us about your experience.
Great video and energy guys. You had a good guest with you. Nice bikes. I think I'll buy the honda. That's a gentleman's bike. I'm 36 now so it's time for that.
Honda a beautiful machine + a reliable work horse 🤌❤️🔥❤️🔥
A CB 500 version of the CB 350 would make me think Vs the interceptor, and 220 km to reserve is also something to think about
A twin cylinder Honda 500 will be expensive here. But definitely i think it'll be more smoother than the interceptor which is already a smooth bike
@@Redliningcrewguy I was thinking of a 500 single
P.S. I'm eagerly waiting for the RE's newer 350cc motorcycles.
which car gives 16 kmpl at 150+ speed?
@@explorer6095 I drive a Tata Nexon Diesel :)
Having an interceptor I'll definitely steal the headlight and the alloys from honda hness 350 they look beautiful. 😄
Alloys probably won't fit.
Hey abhinav! A quick question here, how would u compare the service rates? (Does the Honda fair a premium bcs it falls under the big branch?)
Comparable. Honda recommends oil change twice a year which is actually better.
Exactly the questions I had in mind you guys shared. You get a new Sub for this. Cheers
Well put together questions actually. Don't know if you had them prior to the shoot. If not, very impressive. Well spoken guy answering them too.
Nope. Everything on the spot.
BTW some 14 years ago, I chose Honda unicorn over Bajaj Pulsar due to similar reasons of smoothness, zero vibration, 'balanced' pick up and braking and overall a decent guy's feel!
Sadly suzuki gs 150 a better motorcycle in every regards than a unicorn was flopped due to bad marketing and awful service by Suzuki india
I bought #HondaCB350 on 4th Nov...😎 And really big thanks to you and shri.. And to your reviews your vlogs... I'm loving this bike.. 👍👍
Congratulations :)
This is a fantastic video!
Good unprejudiced sharing of experience by a rider on CB 350…. 👍
As always, truely informative 👍
Abhinav bro u have gone through every bit of cb 350 hness...thats makes ur reviews spcl...u r a detail king...luv ur reviews...full support and love frm kerala
Thanks. Got a good, honest review
Another great video Abhinav. Good to see other models used for objective comparison.. it would seem that the CB 350 will have to find its place with the public.
Great questions!
RE owners donate their bones blood and sweat apart from money to keep their legend alive. Is this an irony
There is only one thing that push me toward cb350 which is fuel economy and yeah! I’m gonna install gt continental Handel clip-on and seat cowl
Excellent presentation, Abinav, and Srini Congratulations. Would look for some technical parameters of the engine in your videos.
Wonderful job guys. Very well presented 👍.
Looking forward for comparison with Jawa.
Hi Abhinav,
In Honda hness you ever had any engine heating issue just after traveling 100-200km.
And between hness and Himalayan which would you suggest.
Any day any time HONDA over RE.. simply because it's a HONDA..
1. Reliable
2. Comfort
3. Value for money..
650s are reliable and well refined
not like the RE 350s
Abhinav great content. One more fuel economy test is due for accurate result. & Just compare it side by side to classic 350 just to see dimensions side by side. Thanks
Will try my best
Your content information is very nice and detailed. Suggest you to use some good mic & proper camera & location...all the best ❤️
Sure. Thank you.
Awesome review ❤️
Bro is there given helmet along with this bike ? And what are the things (accessories) they given in delivery
Better to buy a good helmet than going with the one company offered
ROFL
No helmet. Will make video on what is available
This was pretty useful for me. I am a tall guy myself and this helped.
Great unscripted content ! Kudos Abhinav-Shrini !
SCRAMBLER 400X VS GRR450 VS CB350RS
use case: 80% touring + 20% city
Height is 168cm and has inseam of 29inchs
coming from activa 5g but had experience of bike riding
needs form bike
1. stress free cruising on 90-100kmph
2. enough power to go anywhere in india
3. good suspension ( as we know indian roads)
4. mileage atleast 25+ ( as a future clg student)
want to keep an single bike in my garage for all use cases ( yess we had and scooty and other vehicles), and will not sell it .
@abhinav Very well made videos. Love the content. Dozens and dozens of other static display walk around videos by every Tom Dick and Harry, made me so damn nauseating that I had started to give up on this bike.
Eagerly waiting for videos on night driving, touring accessories and performance after 1st service.
Been following this bike for long and plan to test drive here in Mumbai next week.
I have to get some bike by the end of the year and this is a very strong contender for me.
So far... The best casual comparision I have seen on motorbikes 👍 very genuine
And yeah. I'll be taking my cb350 delivery on Nov 1😁😉👍
Hey Abhinav! Would you recommend the bike for long-distance rides?
Yeah.
Your first ride review on the Honda highness was great.....very in depth....plz do many other reviews of important bikes....❤️👍
I love my interceptor and its leagues ahead of anything in its class. The maintainance cost is the lowest in the world!
