British GQ did an interview with Ten talking about the creative process of this MV. I just read it online. Ten is an amazing artist, he surely knows how to display his creativity visually.
As you may know, Ten just recently was a dance mentor and judge on a Chinese dance competition show for several months in China, which is where "Birthday" and a short version of this dance was first performed more than 6 months ago. And yes, this dance was, at least in part, choreographed by him. Ten is often the one that creates or modifies the most memorable and dynamic parts of NCT/WayV's dances that he is a part of. Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me if it was Ten who came up with or modified that tightrope jump move to create what you see in the MV. Most choreographers say they present Ten with choreography and then he changes it and makes it even better. He is a very skilled choreographer as well, which, as I think you know, he has shown off in several self-choreographed performances on NCT's TH-cam channels and as a member of SuperM, etc. (Which I think explains a little of his skill level.) And yes, "Birthday" is all in English. All of Ten's solo songs -- "Dream in a Dream," "New Heroes," "Paint Me Naked" and "Birthday" -- are in English because Ten is fluent in English. (At this point, it would be more surprising if it wasn't in English. ;D) He grew up attending an international school in Thailand run by British educators, so he spoke English in school. He is native Thai, however, he is fluent in 4 languages -- Thai, English, Korean and Mandarin (and he is currently learning Japanese). If you remember, he first debuted as an original member of NCT-U in the "7th Sense" as a main dancer and a rapper, but by virtue of the fact that he is an SM artist, it shouldn't be a surprise that he is also an outstanding vocalist. LOL. That's just what SM artists are known for. That's why SM is the vocal powerhouse of the industry because everyone under SM has superior singing abilities. Ten is the NCT member with the most solo projects because he is one of SM's and the industry's top dancers and he is an amazing singer and performer, so SM likes to showcase all his impressive skills. Ten is one of the most talented and skilled artists in Kpop. And yet, not enough people pay attention to him.

Surprise surprise Ten was involved in the styling for this mv like he was for Paint Me naked and he actually received this song the same time he did PMN but he said he wasn't feeling it at that time so he focused more on PMN which was something different for him because as you know NCT and especially WayV be making some hoe anthems 😂 so PMN was different but it was also who Ten felt like at that time well this young man felt like he was ready to put that sauce on Birthday and he did and he again got asked to be hands on with the styling as well as the set up for the mv and he delivered because Ten is art and he makes art out of anything he touches so here we have it. Man I'm only watching reactions to this with a few people because between crying over Jin's solo song and crying for a different reason over Ten I am tired 😂. Great reaction as always 💜.

I can’t recall seeing any collabs from different labels, but most recently, Shinee’s Key and NCT Dream’s Jeno did a collab (both under SM). Now I’m curious too!
Talking about Kai, a similar hat like in this video had Kai in "Peaches" . Of course he is influenced by his seniors, but his idol and model is Taemin , Ten took the best from both ,Kai and Taemin and created his own style.
