    Another tip is to set your stance back! I found it helps a lot and your back leg won’t be burning like crazy!

    Thanks for the tips! Will try it next time. Just had my worst snowboard day ever yesterday... snowing, freezing, windy and low visibility. 13cm of fresh snow and constantly got struck on the sides. I had to lift up my googles because I can't see anything and I can't put them back on because the elastic band was frozen. I could use a video for advices in conditions like this.

    Another fantastic instructional video. One simple request, I'm not sure about your other subscribers, but I would love it if you had a link or details for the music you use in each video. Looking forward to putting the techniques learned in your videos in to practice in 2021.

    Nice video, I'd love to get some more powder riding in myself, it's so fun. Hard to find good powder spots in the couple of places I go in Northern Michigan. I definitely learned the second tip the hard way by going face first over the nose of my board lol.

    Great video Malcolm, keep going 👏. Are you using different bindings angle for deep snow and for regular trail? What you recommend? Thanks 👍

    • @malcolmmoore
      @malcolmmoore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I use the same angles all the time, +18 and -12. The only time I dont is when I'm on my splitboard where I have that set to +21 and -3. 👍

      Awesome videos, Malcolm. What are you riding for a split-board? I’ve tried many and have yet to be on one that is worthwhile.

    Hi Malcom!
    I saw all your videos containing "powder", in order to ride through a 2-3m wide way. At the very beginning I was happy because I was riding, but I realised that I when I tried to slow down my speed or completely stop (i.e. due to other people "on my way"), I felt down. When I felt down, I could hardly stay up again, because either my arms were sinking or my board was blocked by the snow. Do you have tips for untalented people without enough experience riding at fresh and deep snow?
    Thank you very much in advanced!
    PS: I love your videos and tips.

    • @malcolmmoore
      @malcolmmoore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Natalia, one of the best things you can do to learn how to ride powder is to learn how to carve. Because when you're carving you are riding the boards length without skidding, which is exactly what you want to do for powder, because this will make full use of the boards surface area and give you the most float. Once you can carve, you take the same movements into powder, but with less weight on the front foot. besides from this, picking spots next to the piste is always a good start, you can get a little speed up on the piste and then jump into the soft snow, and then if you fall, you can get back to the piste and get started again without too much effort! 😃

      @@malcolmmoore Thank you very much! I will try it next season if German resorts are opened. If not, I hope that I remember all your keywords and tips, so that I can still improve my riding experience on powder.

    So i went snowboarding for the first time ever in Germany and my buddy took me on a black trail at the top of the mountain like a asshole not telling me and saying ill be fine and so with my confident self i said okay went from level ground to a little steeper then a 45 degree angle and ate it 5 seconds later and ate shit the whole way down, took me a hour and half to make it down and been scared to snowboard ever since lol but i wanna learn so whats a begginer way to start snowboarding

      Ouch that sucks, your best bet is always to take a lesson, but I will be making a video video early next season where I take a first timer through all the basics!

      Know the feeling, I skied but mates said "you have to board with us Cool dudes". 2 hours later I booked a lesson and it all made sense. That was over 25 years ago, still riding - still learning.

      That sucks! Heard a few stories like this. I know the pain because I accidentally went up a black slope before I was ready. One of my snowboard instructors told me that I have to enjoy my day and keep falling down is not fun. I remember what he said to this day and I don't push myself too hard.
