Bulwark. I always play as tank in every MMORPG and as melee in every single game. And I'm very experienced in parrying. This is single best class for me.
Same top 3. I love Vanguard. I always play some kind of death knight / life leach / vampiric class and this is the closest we have. Execute to get armor + life + more grapple, which then debuffs for more range damage. Its a vicious class and so fun.
4:50 It kind of is centered around that. There are 2 perks, one that boosts dmg and another that resets the jump pack skill if you make a perfect dodge with the jump pack. I agree tho that they should give us at least three charges for operations and that in lethal the class does feel a little underperforming. You can get sniped really easy while in midair in lethal difficulty.
My top 3, both personal fun and just as an ideal team (imo) is Tactical, Sniper and Heavy. Tac with the infinite grenade boltgun, sniper with a marksman bolt carbine / stalker bolt melee build and heavy with a plasma gun build. Between heavy and sniper, there is SO MUCH ABILITY REGEN!! Everyone has every option available whenever, its a constant resource loop. So much fun imo.
@Yannandi it is different, I wouldn't say it is better, I have more success with the chain sword. I have all the melee weapons maxed out, I didn't like the power sword that much.
@Yannandi the ability to clear huge waves of minors with the stomp faster and kill majors just as fast, doesn't mean the power sword is better. The power sword does less damage and keeps knocking minors back instead of killing them.
I think I see a man who ranks vanguard as №1 first time. Personally I see every class with potential of being S-tier and can mix them between themselves as I please because I play on each one of them. Vanguard is immortal because of high healing capabilities and has the strongest team perk in the game, bulwark has the strongest defensive ability and can kick infinite amount of asses in melee, heavy has ginormous damage with heavy bolter and big plasma, assault lacks survivability, but he can do everything from clearing hordes for free to nuking big enemies, tactical is jack of all trades master of everything and sniper is the strongest when a target has an easy to hit head (and easiest to deal with zoanthropes). Though I consider the strongest team composition tactical + bulwark + vanguard.
The tyranids are more melee focussed but chaos is more ranged focus. The problem is that no one plays chaos missions 😅. I love wrecking chaos with sniper and heavy (especially heavy)
1:34 problem with the sniper at this part on this level...The damn perk that refunds a Las shot when you kill two or more enemies at one time doesn't work here when they're climbing the walls, for some reason. 😐
It also doesn't refund in the final part of Inferno until the wave climbs the walls. I'm pretty sure its a bug with the map borders. If the player is restricted from an area, it seems we can't get the perk to activate on targets in the restricted zone.
I’ve only played the campaign. I enjoyed it and I hope to see more games like this in the future. I wish these classes had a bigger impact on the campaign. The bull work sounds awesome.
Check out the operations! They make the campaign feel like a (very good) tutorial If you prefer solo play then you can still have a blast in operations and experience the class variety
I actually find the most success on vangaurd in lethal with melta and chainsword on tyranids and occulus and combat knife on chaos. It synergizes with his tip of the spear perk 15% ranged damage debufd to enemy after diving kick. You grapple and melta shots to the face and chop them up with chainsword. Against chaos grapple diving kick and hold the trigger down on their face with occulus and they are in execute before they recover from the diving kick stun. And as long as you're grappling from majoris to majoris you never need to reload because it has finisher reload perk. I found i can just stomp chaos marines with this. The instigator i find i run out of ammo on chaos and the contested health regen isn't quite as fast as occulus. The damage i think is about the same but because its 3 shots per trigger pull the magazine size on instigator is deceptively small.
Lets be honest if you want to clear lethals you bring Tac with bolt grenade-launcher, Bulwark for flag health regen/stim mortal wound removal, and Heavy with plasma.
@@PaddleTales24 it really doesnt, it clears groups both melee and ranged, you can leave a few executable for flags/resupply ammo, what a stupid comment
You CAN dodge with your jump pack you just tap the button instead of holding and you do a jumppack dodge or dash I think there is a perk that gives more damage with that jumpack dodge
I was more meaning that it was the base dodge for assault that didn’t require a charge if that maskes sense. I feel like the charges should only happen when you go up and you should be able to dodge out of the way with a boost for free.
@@silenthero2795 Oh yeah? Like I didn't know that. Please upload a video where you use that to great effect over an entire operation and don't waste a 60 s vital cooldown. No? Didn't think so... That perk sucks donkey balls and you know it or haven't tried it yourself.
Yo, pretty good ranking! I've seen some lists where the VG is put near #6, and when that happens I think they just don't understand. I only play lethal difficulty, and any list not basing their rankings in lethal is hard to take seriously. VG can jump into the front of a crowd and hold the entire pack at bay. One shot any minoris hit, and stagger the majoris with AOE melta shots. Continue firing and weave in melee combos (using the L1 melee skip with the chainsword perk to get to shoulder bash and stomp faster). Easily locking down huge waves of enemies and allowing your teammates to freely do whatever they want while you take aggro and stun enemies in the middle of it all. All while healing all of your contested health with melta shots and melee executes. Also, perk the regular bolt pistol starting with the bottom row, and transition to the top for headshot damage. This gives you +30% headshot dmg increase for zoanthropes, and 40% for neothropes. Making it an actual useful tool for killing the flying bastards. This class is just so strong and I love it. Tyranids and Chaos alike, though the playstyles are different for each. Once you figure it out, play VG to be the guy that jumps in first and wrecks everything, every time. Only downside, it becomes a bit too easy eventually.
Haha never said it wasn’t. This was just my biased favorite class list in terms of what I enjoy playing the most. Bulwark is definitely a S tier class but again I don’t always love playing it.
For pure fun factor: snipe, vanguard, heavy lets do some ruthless runs: tac, vanguard. snipe and assault are tied tac with grenade launcher is head and shoulders above the rest for ruthless runs for me though
Cant disagree on any point you make, pretty much spot on with your summary of each class and their strengths and weaknesses. Just your personal preference and ranking if each class is where we disagree hugely and thats absolutely fine and one of the best things about this game. Tac and vanguard are my least favourites ( not that they’re bad at all, theyre excellent) and assault us probably the worst class on paper but its si much fun to play. Stay smiting the xenos filth brother!
To me the best hard carry class is the sniper to me bc it’s entirely too easy to wipe Majoris and Extremis enemies. Go invisible, Las fusil the majoris and extremis, pistol headshot minoris, cooldown invisibility, and repeat the cycle. If your aim is cracked, it’s too easy to run through missions.
Fun in Sm2 constitutes to me as playing well into the confines of the operations. And for that reason my ranking is the EXACT opposite of urs. Vanguard is so omega bad into 7 majories piling on u with a big swarm of ads and maybe a Zoan in the background. Absolutely useless and miserable time for vanguard. And thats basically 90% of lethal/ruthless time. Las fuli sniper on the other hand eats those waves for breakfast. Thats fun
What is your favorite class in Space Marines 2?

Assault
Heavy

Vanguard
Tactical
In no particular order

IDK how many times I have been top melee and ranged damage as a Bulwark using the plasma pistol, chain sword stomp, and the shock areas, it is insane.
Power sword is better for bukwark
@Yannandi it is different, I wouldn't say it is better, I have more success with the chain sword. I have all the melee weapons maxed out, I didn't like the power sword that much.
@ u not liking like it doesn’t mean its worse, its the best weapon for bulwark

you gotta switch vanguard with bulwark, bulwark is S tier, vanguard like assault leaves you primed for getting swamped with their abilities
