Jeff, that was an amazing trip! Grandpa would be proud of you, and is always over your right shoulder watching over you.❤ Thank you for sharing this and look forward to the next one.
11:25 REI sells a soft reusable coffee filter by GSI for under $6. I use it when refilling my water containers as it fits over the mouth of the container and does a really good job of filtering out debris without me having to sweep it aside on the surface of the water. I then just shake it out so it is ready for the next use. Weighs essentially nothing and takes up virtually no space in my pack.
Really Enjoyed your video! You have captured the moments of every day life in utmost detail wonderfully as a camper/hiker. The background music was especially fitting and well edited. Thank you for sharing. A+ (As a solo hiker, were you prepared with bear spray and other potential emergencies requiring an advanced first aid kit - I take these along)
BTW, if you don’t mind a little off trail for some excellent fishing, there is a lake on the other side of Mt. Stone from Lake of the Angels. Pacific Northwest Exposed has a recent video called Lake of the Angels and Beyond (or something like that). His hiking buddy landed some really nice cutthroats.
@@BackcountryRenegade BTW, don’t often get to watch, but appreciate the stuff from your day job on the PBC channel. Makes me appreciate the BR channel even more as somehow God makes the experience come through the videos much more than if it were merely hiking and scenery. Connecting with the maker of it all is what it is really all about.
@@Olympic_TryAthlete thank you, glad you were able to find me there and follow along.! Hiking is my hobby and blessed to live in this area to allow me to quickly get out in God's creation and be surrounded by the beauty. It is a great way to reset, pray and appreciate all he gives us to enjoy. Blessings!
Thank you. I caught those 4 in like 15 minutes, so it was a good day. I don’t think it was lucky Because that lake really isn’t fish much anymore since the road to get to the trail head is washed out a lot of people don’t make the effort to get way out there so the fish are decent sized and ready to bite

@@Olympic_TryAthlete thanks for the suggestion. I’ve heard good things of lake of the angels but haven’t been yet. I’ll add it to my to do list.

Awesome catches - is four trout a lucky day at boulder lake?
