    Loved watching your video. Thanks for the shout out and recommendation. We have a couple left of the V1 which is installed here, but V2 has been released.
    With V2, here are some of the changes:
    -Lower fastener changed from a Metal U-Type Clip with M6 Speed Nut to a M4 Rivnut Spyder Jack Nut Screw Anchor Hollow Sleeve. Rivnut Gun Included
    - Grab Handles changed to deeper set bosses with shorter fasteners to make it easier for installation and alignment purposes
    - Hole Covers are more flush and tighter

      I've had it one for about a year (20K miles) and even with daily use (grabbing it to get in every time) it's still holding strong! Great product!!

    I just ordered one. They released a V2 of this grab handle. Definitely needed. Can’t wait to install mine 🤙🏼

      I absolutely love mine!! I litteraly use it every time I get in. We just release a new video with a trailer brake controler install. Check it out. I custome fabricated it into the dash. That way it's not hanging off the bottom of that dash and I don't kick it getting in and out. We also got new Nitro gears installed and it does so much better with the 33's (not to mention towing the 49 Ford body swapped BMW - make sure you check that build out on our channel).
      Thanks for following!!

    Looks great, and such a great factory looking finish, even has the airbag wording in it!

    • @ManiacsGarage
      @ManiacsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, it really is and the airbag is above in the headliner so this didn't affect it

    Don’t know if you noticed, but the the two supplied bolts are different lengths … why? Which one goes where?

    • @stevenshaw2280
      @stevenshaw2280 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The longer one goes in the bottom and the shorter on top.

      @@ManiacsGarage Thank you. Unfortunately, their phone line doesn't seem to be working any longer and I sent them emails with no response? Doesn't look like I will be able to get one of these kits any more. Maybe they closed up shop.

    PRO TIP: For those of you having issues threading in the top bolt, it's a minor alignment issue. On my 2019, the original bolt hole was angled too far upwards. To fix this, you can thread in one of the bolts, and then just apply gentle downward pressure to get the hold to angle slightly downwards to match the new handle. It's just thin sheet metal so it's somewhat pliable.

      Thanks for the tip! If I remeber correctly that is what I ended up doing after a figured out the problem.

    Looks pretty thick. Looks like it might blind spot you?? I ordered one from this company 2 years ago and after 5 or 6 months of waiting and no customer support whatsoever, I had to call my credit card to get my $180 back. Hopefully they have better service and customer support now.

      What a bummer!! I love mine, it is not in the way at all.

    Installed mine yesterday. Love the product, but it was definitely an M.effer to install, nothing smooth about it (the install). But once I got in cussed in, I love it.

    V1 or V2? What's the difference?

    • @steveb2386
      @steveb2386 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      V2 is more expensive but includes a nursert and a gun to install it in the lower hole. V1 includes a clip nut that has been known to break during installation, and seems to cause great frustration. There are inexpensive - and appreciably better - clip nuts available at auto parts stores and on Amazon that make the install not only easier, but more solid.

    Their purchase terms are rediculous. You have no recourse if their product fails to perform their advertised standards. Warranty claims are at their sole discretion.
