For me music is always devine , particularly the flute takes me to the world which we always wish to see in the end .. Excellent it is ... Yeah , as some one said ,a good violonist would have been of great help .....Thanks ...
Awesome.... just such a shame that most of the time, one cannot see his lips to observe how he forms his embouchure, because of that microphone.... I would have loved to study that!
It is wonderful to hear this concert without a violin and what a pleasure hearing the pristine tones of the Flute sans any interference. Is it not a matter of perception or what one is used to. Flute, Sarod, Sarangi or Sitar players including the great Hariprasad Chaurasia performed thousands of concerts with just a Tabla. Even if you look into other instrumental concerts in Carnatic Music tradition, Veena, Gottuvadyam or Violin solos have no melodic accompaniment. Maestro Shashank has done more than justice by this brilliant performance
