I was witness to CNR and SS growth, metamorphosis and transformation as two of the greatest maestros of Karnataka Sangita and longed for the experience of their jugalbandi concert and Bharatiya Saamagana Sabha made it possible. Listen to their mastery of instrument technique but for creating the pure form of music and showcasing how unalloyed and pure music transports both the learned and lay rasikas. I wish and pray event managers to plan at least one jugalbandi concert of these maestros, per calendar year and the archives will be one of the rich additions to the future generations of students and practitioners, besides the pleasure for connoisseurs.

I get what you mean, but being a carnatic musician myself, I can see clearly that they intended it like that on purpose

You generally hear those in music academy. These kind of concerts bring out the creativity of the artists.

i know many highly respectable people including, obviously, NR, like this mrdngm player, but i have never enjoyed his tone and also find his playing super busy......but he never produces the rich warm tones on his drum that the masters of the instrument lik US, PMI, PS, TS, etc etc produce...i dont understand what hey like about his plying other than the mathmatics....for me, the sonority is lacking....
