- We review 4 different Lexus/Toyota/Kia Gentex autodimming Homelink mirrors and identify the similarities and differences. We also go over how to crack open the mirror for modifications.
For one one of my mirrors I plan to use on my Lexus, I didn't like the compass window in the corner, so I swap the glass from a hidden compass version over.

So, for most people, the whole point of clicking on this video was to see how to open the mirrors up, and when you finally get to doing just that (about 6:40 in), it’s so sped up you can’t even see how to do it…
A long, rambling video, then when he gets to titled content, actually opening mirror, its sped up so you can't really see what its like to perform the actual steps.

It’s the boring part that takes patience. My audience wants to see the meat and potatoes but I also show the FF stuff. Better than TikTok reels that show before and after.
Hello, i sourced a gentex 1074 mirror. Can you help me find out its connector details. It has a 12 pin connector builtin. The mirror came with a small wiring harness(10cm) attached with it. This wiring is having a 10 pin connector at the end

can u help me with my homelink mirror mine is bmw 320i which doesn't come with pre wiring for the mirror but i'm trying to retrofit it. I'm not sure about the connections of the wire
Need to find a constant power for Homelink and a switched key power for the dimming.

I have a 2022 toyota avalon limited and the rear view mirror is so dark I cannot see the cars beyond me; how can this be fixed and make with enough light to see in the back? I hope you can help me. Nlo one seam to know how

Should be an on/off button on the mirror.
the mirror on the Toyota Avalon Limited does NOT have on/off button the only button on the mirror are to set the garage opener ecc. ecc.@@TunerwithKids
Does it have the center Bluetooth button? Is there option in the gentex app to adjust dim?
Your mirror rattle at all?
Nope, lots of times rattle is due to loose Torx screw. For the 06-09 IS, there was once a TISB for rattling mirror where they replaced it for free. I had it done when car was like 2 years old but it was for hell of it plus my friend was a Lexus tech so free warranty work for him.

No, the rattle is loose mount to windshield. Not sure what other rattling you have.
