    This was a great day of fishing out on a Lake Ontario Tributary! I was able to land 7 brown trout all on a jerk bait. it was an absolute blast nailing these browns with light spinning gear in the middle of the winter. Couldn't have asked for a better day of fishing!

    I would be crapping my pants over 1 of those fish. Each one I would deem fish of a life time. You are one cool customer, never panicked, fought each fish with patience. Rock solid job my friend. Much respect from Wisconsin.

      It was an insane day of fishing. I’m missing it big time out here in Utah. Thanks for the comment and support! Tight lines to ya out there🎣

    Nice vid. Several creeks in Rochester you can fish. Loaded with browns and steelhead.

      Thanks! It was a great day of fishing. I’m living out in Utah now. I used to fish a creek out by Rochester that was really good for Browns. Tight Lines🎣

    Awesome fish! I've been meaning to pick up a pins minnow sometime! Would a light action trout rod work for fish these size? Or would I need something stronger?

      The pins minnow is a killer little jerk bait! Definitely go get one. I wouldn’t use under a medium light rod for fish of the size in the video. They were all hovering around 20” with the bigger ones around 25”-26”. The rod I used was a 7’0” Medium light rod and never had any issues doing this type of fishing and for fish of this size. Tight lines and thanks for watching🎣

      @@OfficialCreekGeek Ah gotcha. Do they typically migrate in around that time? My local regs in Ontario allow me to fish all year for trout up until a bit north of the river entrence, I'm just not sure when certain species will begin their spawning runs.

      @Shrike456 They usually show up after the salmon. The brown trout and steelhead are usually in the rivers from October to April.

    That lure is absurd for trout. I have way more success with that than any of the JDM ones I have

      It always seems to get it done. I’ve got a whole box of em. They work great for River and Creek smallies as well

      Yo-Zuri Pins Minnow is my go to for trout. I used to smash crappie on the purple colored one too. Twitch, Twitch, rest and boom ...

    • @OfficialCreekGeek
      @OfficialCreekGeek  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @BeefBravo1257 It has worked just about everywhere I’ve tried it on trout. I’ll need to try it for Crappie though, there aren’t to many places to target them here in Utah where I’m living now…

    Nice haul of good browns. You guys are blessed with such a good brown and steelhead fishery on the NY side of lake ontario. The browns on the ontario side are for the most part incidental catches. Not too many to be had. Greetings from Toronto.

      Thanks that creek produces numbers for sure! We are surely blessed. Hopefully they can figure out how to get better returns up there. Tight lines🎣

    Man that pin minnow even looks like those brown trout. They are cannibles eating baby brown trout. But it may also immitate a minnow in general. Your good at what you do! Thanks for sharing bait too. Fish on!!

      It is a cheat code for those lake run browns for some reason. Thanks for the support I’ll try to keep it up. No problem and tight lines🎣🎣🎣

    nice fish do you ever switch out those trebles to single hooks? better for fish less damage overall.

    • @OfficialCreekGeek
      @OfficialCreekGeek  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t yet but it’s a good idea. I haven’t had to many issues with the trebles messing up the fish yet. But I’ll probably end up finding some hooks and giving that a try. Thanks for bringing that up👍🏼🎣
