Greetings from Bulgaria! I love to fish with the Berkley Powerbait too, but I have never catched such a big trouts as they are very rare here. Well done!
I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a th-cam.com/users/postUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.
Great video. Don't catch a lot of trout on Berkley dough. I use it on every outing. Might catch one if I'm lucky. And usually catch my limit on Berkley mouse tails before the end of the day. Gorgeous trout you caught.
Those Trout are huge. I live in Texas and during winter they stock a lot of the fishing lakes and creeks with Trout.They aren't big like those. I used a small size 8 or 10 hook and the almost always swallow it. i also have used Trout and Panfish Magnets with good success
Hey mate is this the pondage ? We’re camping up here at lake Eildon at the moment and struggling to find a decent spot to put a line in ! To much snags ! Thinking about a trip out to the pondage for a fish tomorrow ? Really enjoyed the video thanks for the ideas :)
Where is this lake at? I live in USA, California. We fish the same way except we use small treble hooks. I like how you place the bait on the J hook. I will try it next time. Those are very nice catches!
Thank you Mate, it’s in Australia, in Victoria near Melbourne, I prefer to use single hook because I release them most of the time, it’s Easyer and also it’s less heavy so it floats much better ✌️

The bead next to the weight acts as a bumper so that over time the egg sinker does not slam into your knot every cast and weaken it, so when you hook a fish the line won't just snap from wear and tear. Also, like he said it also blocks the weight from bunching up on your swivel they can get stuck together.

Really small, for the big one too, in the video I showed a bigger hook but that one was just for the video cause it’s bigger and u can see better, but a small size, the bigger the hook the harder to put the bait on , so small hooks
The half blood knot you used ,which wasn't locked will fail you! The locked blood knot,for lighter lines is about 8 wraps,then you pull line through half lock! For heavier lines this knot is fine,not for lighter lines, it will slip! Wake up

I was watching another video like this and the guy put half the jar of powerbait in one ball I thought "isn't that too much?" Next thing you know he is catching a GIANT! 😂😂😂 He caught his PB trout I think it was 11 pounds 😂
Did u look at the video till the end, did u see how big are those trout (5kg plus) If you want a big fish u need to use a big bait. Everyone has his own technique.

@@johnsmith45 they stock 14k trout a year in that lake for many years, u got no idea how many trout that big are in that lake (even bigger 8kg to 10kg) in the firt part of the video when I’m teaching you guys how I put the bait, I just did I really big bait cause in the camera u can see better the shape, I don’t need to do it so big! But you can and it works pretty good, depends also what kind of hook u using.

Trout at my stocked lakes are small this year about a pound to 2 lbs... you're catching giants!

U don’t have to out as much as I do, but it’s important to put enough so that the hook is floating with the powerbait and not sitting on the ground

What is the purpose of the little bead next to the weight?
So that the sinker doesn't get stuck to the swivel

Yes it does work with other trout too! With brow trout u can try with a spinner too

Orange, rainbow, white, pink, also try to mix color togheter, really depends on where u fishing
