Confirm. Marco Polo only somehow playable on SAPs, but it’s so unreliable that she’s arguably the worst BB 9tier so far. PQ right, she needs either buff HP or smokes(yes, there is none) or spotting aircraft with aiming buff.
I love this ship, but never relay on that italian BB dispersion. Actually, with Marco you can citadel light cuisers (like the british) with SAP. The key is: over 12 km or at a target not broadside use SAP, 12 km or less or broadsides pray to god and release the AP
Yeah. Same here. I kinda disagree with the whole "ap is your main armament in Italian BBS" this, as I love Colombo and it's SAP. AP when you can guarantee citadels. SAP in every other case.
Yeah ngl I saw him play this ship on stream and it was frustrating to see him expect levels of Iowa precision on a ship line that was never accurate. There was this one game where he purposefully aimed for the "back turret" on a broadside Georgia and roon (as if this ship didn't have pen) and was surprised he got no cits when ships that aren't accurate should almost always be aimed center mass due to the wild dispersion.
@@Sock-qv9wr That statement stands more true for Veneto, Lepanto, and Colombo just because 380mm shells arm more regularly in those ships' matchmaking brackets. It does not stand for Marco Polo because of the additional penetration you get with those bigger guns. You need to use SAP to "pull your punches" or they go right through.
You kidding me, i am down to 2 games a week and one of them i was a tier 8 cruiser with no heal in a battle against all tier 10's, and in the battle there was a total of 9 Wisconsin, i didn't have fun and after 8 years of playing i am looking at my 300 ships in port and just can't see the fun in any of them because of CVs, Subs, superships, *super CVs*, MM, WG, i don't even know why i still turn this game on anymore, i don't enjoy it.
I just returned to playing after 2 years hiatus. Subs are bad at high Tiers, but if you learn them - you can deal with them, usually. CV's are highly situational. If you're DD that gets focused - well, it wasn't a good game. But even compared to before my hiatus I can see that now EVERYTHING is on monetization. No free signals, my cherished and often bought for money camouflages, are purely for decoration. You can't do stuff at reasonable pace without paying (retraining commander at level 14 - 20k experience, or money). Unless one thinks of playing 100 games a day without signals and economic buffs, just to have enough resources for 20 games with signals and "some" economy buffs. If it wasn't for challenges, operations and stuff like that, it would be too.... boring and annoying. I don't have as bad MM as you, but I still get some bad ones.
Can we get a Henry IV game next? This used to be a busted ship. People claim it's strong still but I haven't seen one in game for months lol😂. I'd like to see how it's played by Master PQ!
Marco Polo struggles right now because you're compensated for having less guns, but you're not compensated for having no smoke. It goes from 380mm to 406mm guns in exchange for less guns, but it needs to go from 406mm to 457mm guns in exchange for no smoke.
Hey PQ, you CAN actually disable the autoaim entirely. You have to go to settings and then camera i think, and you deselect the ''track the locked target'' option. I turn it off whenever im playing any sort of battleship, and let me tell you when you get used to it, you can do damage more consistently. You DO however need yourself to account for horizontal and vertical tracking which can get tiring, but its worth it imho.
Good ol' WG ships power crept into complete irrelevancy; when the whole advantage at release is paying a premium currency for the advantage of biggest SAP in the game... and then they just take away that advantage by releasing ships with bigger and better SAP and don't give it anything to make up for that. Total waste of premium currency.
Loving the Littorio, I have been looking at other possible Italian ships to enjoy. So far, I got myself a Napoli (unplayed as of yet, just got it for the discount coupon before it ran out) and that's it. T9 is a tier I really care about. Having a Missouri, I think I will gladly skip the Italian ships at this tier. Thank you for the video!
This thing will be fine. It's got really good HE resistance, but it also has a huge shell catcher on the stern so you need to play at a safe distance where you can reverse out of engagement, then shell away at cruisers with SAP so you don't get overpens all day long. It can do 2-3 full SAP pens per salvo on average, which is a big dent into any cruiser.
Since the update the Italian line has been so much better. I find sap to be inconsistent. Some times it deals out great damage, other times you get full pen no damage. I had an epic game with it earlier being top tier and had my way with the other team.
Marco Polo came out when teh captain rework just released and "Dead Eye" was a thing. Same with the whole Italian line of BBs and it suffers from the same inconsistent guns as the others. There were buffs to it i think (better sigma iirc), but still it feels like a BB without identity. The SAP, being its main gimmick is worthless if you cannot hit the target.
Marco Polo has a use but it’s extremely niche. When competitive is T9 and Musashi is banned a lot of BB players took Marco Polo because the 16in SAP destroys cruisers better than almost anything. Georgia made an appearance in that season as well.
You mean ranked? Rupprecht shreds everything. Best T9 BB for ranked without much of a competition. Sorry, but id never play this pile of garbage that is Marco Polo instead.
I played a lot of Polo, even with great results, but imo most battleships would outperform it in almost every situation. I think Iowa and Missouri can shred cruisers at T9 even better. They can still overmatch a lot of cruisers and beat the shit out of superstructures with their AP and superior accuracy if they don't have the overmatch. The SAP salvos are too inconsistent and the reload way too long. Imo they should buff her reload and give it standard 30s, as there is no reason at all for it to have that long reload.
@@ManuR-l4m Ranked isn’t competitive. It’s just getting lucky enough to end up on the winning team x number of times in a row. Competitive is Clan Battles, masters and KOTS. The Marco Polo is nearly useless against DD's thanks to WG always protecting it's favorite class of ships. They need to change the damage cap on DD's for SAP and HE shells from BB's, total BS the way it is.
i don't recall this ship being good, but I thought it was way better, its also much higher out of the water than the roma/littorio while having low health for the tier, and you give up the smoke just for 406s that have terrible output...
I kind of like this ship, but only for citadal light cruisers with SAP. The range is definitely a big problem, and the HP too. In ranked it is a bit better, but why play this when you can play Iwami or Pommer.
Saying T9 against T11 is tough, nope its more challenging. I think T9 in T11 is better than T7 in T9 match. Back in the days when no T11, T9 got lot of T7-8 match. See what upgrade T7/8s have and T9s have , see consumable difference they have too. for some reason i always have better matches in marco polo than iowa, for some reason my iowa can never hit anything while marco is landing cits at max range lmao
The reason the armor doesn’t work as well as it should is simple, it’s Italian not Russian despite Russia modeling their armor profiles after the Italian navy’s.
Curious to see the giusepe verdict review as it the same thing with few gimmick changes, smoke, no sap, secondary sap (but shitty accuracy), better reload (5sec lol!!! ), same hp, same heal, same repair, same anything else. So shitty aaa, shitty range, shitty hp and concealment. Damn glad i have missouri and georgia…. And glad i traded my coal marco in tradin’s… tho, i hate napoli. Sure its fun with secondaries etc. But that all. Guns are terrible, its painfully to use them.
I just got rid of Marco Polo, terrible reload (36 sec.) . The ship just wouldn't perform. Traded her in & was able to get Florida. Don't know how she'll work out but, better so far than Marco Polo ( a waste of coal).
It has 1.9 sigma but it still struggles to hit anything consistently. The overall dispersion may not be terrible but it's far from good or enough to offset the poor reload.
You got high damage on the Marco Polo that game so I really don't see your problem. Deranged schizophrenic ranting. 185k damage is a great game for most people
Should just ended at No. not worth the coal. Only gimmick is basically useless sap isn’t a consolation for no smoke and made dispersion, a t9 poor matchmaking with no smoke. Don’t get this ship.

It's relatively common on NA , as in you get one or two per gaming session, game is bleeding players. During off peak times you can have a fun game with a 2 superships, a CV, a sub - and one tier IX that will have a truly "fun and engaging gaming experience..."
Wows NA In a nutshell.. Wows Is gradually bleeding players since WG has no grip on players experience and keep putting in op ships for the FOMO and thus power creeping most ships along the way. EU also experiences noticably less players in the off hours(nights and during midday sometimes)

Looking up Giuseppe Verdi, the secondary hitting DPM is almost the same as Rupprecht, doesn't seem shitty to me, or am I misunderstanding something?
@@hisnameis28 didn’t say but the accuracy is italian. Its not very precise nor efficient
It needs burnt pizza creeping smoke.
I just got rid of Marco Polo, terrible reload (36 sec.) . The ship just wouldn't perform. Traded her in & was able to get Florida. Don't know how she'll work out but, better so far than Marco Polo ( a waste of coal).
It should have improved accurary and 1.9/ 2.0 Sigma.
It has 1.9 sigma but it still struggles to hit anything consistently. The overall dispersion may not be terrible but it's far from good or enough to offset the poor reload.
@@maltemejlstrup4746
It have 1.9 Sigma. So 2.0 and a little better dispersion 232m on 19 km is enought.
Ship request iwami or agir
You got high damage on the Marco Polo that game so I really don't see your problem. Deranged schizophrenic ranting. 185k damage is a great game for most people
Should just ended at No. not worth the coal. Only gimmick is basically useless sap isn’t a consolation for no smoke and made dispersion, a t9 poor matchmaking with no smoke. Don’t get this ship.
How could you destroy my ship in the first second of the video like that. I still like it. Yes I wouldnt recommend it. But it has its place i think.
Day 3 of Mogami 155 secondary build
I love italian BBs
it was always worth, solid BB
Yeah no, it's terrible. Guns are very inconsistent with bad reload and the armor is not as good as it looks on paper. It has nothing going for it.
Day 47 of asking PQ to play on Helena
Day 18 of asking PQ to play the finest Russian BB admiral ushakov with meme lord kuznetsov
Is Marco Polo worth getting in 2024? Video starts with "no". Okay PQ, thank you for the advise 😂
No i got it and barley use it its mediocre it was like they built it around deadeye
i got this ship for 1500 dub
Port Queen
Day 23 of asking PQ to play the Anhalt
I was there for some of the stream, I knew you were going to start the video with a no. That ship has just never been good.
This ship is pain
Imagine grounding head on an island for the first 4 mins and complaining about its health whilst being focused by 3, 4 ships... Yea tell me whuch ship would do better on that situation.. And doesnt even shoot SAP yeah nice review
Georgia 2024
I hate this ship,
I feel like whether I have fun or not is based on the RNG waaay too much
The only good thing about this ship that this's a premium ship, nothing more
And I decide to Trade this ship with Karl Johan
It was balanced around dead eye. Then they removed dead eye, but "forgot" to buff marco polo dispersion afterwards. They do this every time btw
@@stefanocrosazzo3262 Oh wow, it a good thing that I actually trade it. Since we will never know when and how they will touch this ship again
Jean Bart pleeeeease
oof, the whine must have been flowing during this stream:D
at this point I am honestly thinking you are a bad player to be complaining so much about aimbugs and battleship aimbugs and island aimbugs.
Learn to adapt and aim better honestly.
So instead of 22min just say straight up it's shit and not worth getting the say what's better getting.
There are only a handful of ships so bad that you are actively trying to lose playing them...This is one of those ships.
5 vs 5 in randoms? You server must be poorly filled. Never seen that on the EU server
I've never seen that on NA server, but maybe we play at different times of day.
or playing too early, i often get 2v2 or 3v3 if play at dawn
Just make sure teir 11
No
lol no
it's garbage
Can we get another Kremlin review? I honestly love playing the shop but her guns are so RNG even during close quarters. She desperately needs a slight buff to make her competitive in 2024.
I agree. This ship is so boring and weak in comparison to other bbs from tier IX. I regret, that I took it.
People who* play
It's not people that play
