Undeniably the greatest live rock performance in history. No contest. He did not just grab that audience but the hundreds of millions of people who saw it live on TV, myself included.
I watch that concert every night. Freddie had a throat infection and was told not to sing, but in true Freddie fashion he went out and gave a performance of a lifetime. Queen took this concert very seriously and rehearsed everyday for a week. The bands only had 22 minutes to play and they packed 6 number one hits in that concert with flawless execution. The world witnessed the power of Queen and fell deeper in love with Queen. England was ruled by a different Queen for 22 minutes that day.
Amazing freddie outstanding performance the best frontman ever and of course all queen are insane but freddie's stage presence and charisma is out of this world of course they stole the show he is agod music and noone since then could and noone can give something huge like this performance igot chills every time iwatch this one ❤❤

What is amazing is Freddie sounds like this with an infection and remember he is incredibly sick. No one can do this today. Incredible. I remember watching it live. He will always be remembered and missed.
Freddy was a gift to us all, and he was a beacon of light in a sometimes very dark world. You were the best, Freddy, and we will carry your memory in our hearts forever and a day. 💖💖💖
Very nice summary evaluation . . . her distinctive tone twinned magically with Queen's energetic performance and the highly responsive fans. Really a delight. I'm gonna watch again, right now! Thanks. (BTW for sure Queen knowing they had 20 minutes, for this cause, simply put together a mini-concert to give the maximum delight experienced by all their concert goers.)
I remember watching all day in between looking after 3 kids with my husband. 1986 we went to Knebworth park, the final leg of the magic tour 9th August

All the performers before them played their latest songs that were unknown to the audience. When Queen came on playing their hits it got the audience going from there Freddie ruled the stage. 👍🤠
Thank you for this Video! But you should pay more attantion to WE Will Rock You!!! We can hear IT at the beginning of this Video, but you should Show some footage of IT at the end too, because IT was massive too!!!! 😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Live Aid Queen was BORING! By then America gave up on Queen because of Freddie Mercury complaining about having to tour there because sales were slipping and whined about it, the Body Language video was banned, their manager Paul Prenter telling the American rock stations to kill themselves, the I Want to Break Free video got yanked after a few plays. Queen strayed from its rock roots and alienated the hard rock fans. Radio Ga Ga and The Works was the final nail in the coffin so they turned to Ozzy, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio for its hard rock fix. The best of Queen was live 1977-81 before synthesizers, extra musicians and so on. Hot Space was the start of the death knell for Queen then Queen lost America with The Works and worsened with A Kind of Magic. People now talk about this in glowing terms since Freddie died and the movie came out. When he was alive, the performance was scorned, ridiculed and ignored by the Yankees and Canuckers. In fact MTV went to commercial break, ABC cut off to Marilyn McCoo etc. In the States we got treated to two reunions Black Sabbath (my first glimpse of them with Ozzy at the height of his solo career) and Led Zeppelin (which made me a fan, so what if they were lackluster, Rock and Roll Music is supposed to be tight, rough and on the edge), Plus Judas Priest destroyed Queen.
Who is talking? Everyone knows this concert, if not let them find out, your chatter is stopping me listening to the band, after all that's what the video is about, not you, as you say everyone was enjoying the show, except you have ruined one of the best performances every 🙄

Live Aid was in 1985. He didn't find out he was HIV positive until 1987. Apart from a sore throat, he was okay here
I still get the I was there chills

I too have my Freddie OD days. So would have loved to have seen him live.
I named my ( late canary ) Freddy. As he was a singer at heart. I miss them both every day!
Freddie is the best, and the Queen is the best, blessed to be one of their fans
Freddy was the best still the best and always will be the best

Freddie Forever ❤
They took the show seriously and rehearsed their set as if they were preparing for a tour.
They stole the show due to the fact they hired a rehearsal studio to practice their set until it was perfect. Simple as that.
Yes, they were TOTAL professionals.
Freddie M. Owed everyone in that stadium.
First!!🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪
Thank you so much.
No One like QUEEN
After seeing Queen perform so flawlessly, it is essy to forget that somebody had to follow them. Do you who that was ?
It was U2.
David Bowie
@@roncreswell6843 Sorry, it was U2.
For the most electric band in the world, this has to be the most monotonous narration. Ugh!
You talk at the end not during queens performance spoilt the performsnce
This was a video essay for one of my class, I was not trying to show the performance, youtube would have deleted my video because of copyright issues.
6:34 6:35
for me led zeppelin standingovation for many minuets and 2 queen
Led zeppelin sucked that day .The best act in philly that day was Eric Clapton or Mick Jagger

You’re not a fan of QUEEN then I take it
