Red would then be defeated by a random trainer with a Pokémon that learned Discharge, defeating all his Gyarados at once as it is a spread move and Gyarados have a 4x weakness to Electric moves.
Back in childhood days Gyarados was the most Intimidating and formidable Pokémon after Jigglypuff. Legendary Pokémon meant nothing back then
You know, I read a disturbing fanfic that basically went like this, where prior to a Pokémon limit being placed (this fic was written prior to Legends: Arceus), a man who was teased about being weak and worthless was given by his coworkers a Magikarp as an insult. The man proceeded to train TWENTY of the Magikarp into Gyarados. Now, he could have stopped with revenge on his former colleagues, but the guy decided to terrorize Johto.

As someone who has kept his original from lake of rage, through gen 6 mega now to Scarlett Terra. I approve of this.
But there is no way to transfer from Generation 2 to generation 3.

I always wondered why a criminal organization adhered to the rules of 6 pokemon. Really when you fight Team Rocket it should be like 5 on 1 and they have 50+ Pokemon in reserve.
even if they don't want to use more than 6 pokemons, they should just have 50 people gang up on the trainer, or use the pokemon moves on the trainer itself

Surge wasnt a problem, his gym was on the edge of sea, and red caused a tsunami ending surge right then and there, for jasmine, red had a huge number of gyaradoses that could outspeed her pokemon so eventually, she went down too, noone is beating red that easy

@@Kakanics well Gyarados can use Flamethrower-Fire Blast-Blizzard-Ice Beam type fire-ice type moves through TM and Earthquake-Bulldoze-Secret Power type Ground-Ground-Rock type moves + learns Dragon type moves through normally and by TM. If all Gyarados can use these moves faster than Electric types (Ground-Rock give 2 times damage) and Grass types (Fire-Ice give 2 times damage) and Dragon type moves for both then even Electric and Grass places can't stop them.

Well lore wise Gyarados is a heartless killer machine if provoked. So you might not want to cross paths with a swarm of them.
