    He did such a great job on restoring the boat. My husband and I really like what he accomplished. Matt and Danielle we hope you are not affected by all the fires in Canada. Stay safe and keeping you and everyone in Canada in our thoughts.❤❤

      Thanks Cathy! Indeed they did a great job transforming it into this new living space but it does look like it was a ton of work!
      It has been pretty unpleasant here in Canada with the forest fire smoke but things seem to be getting a bit better now. We've definitely never seen this level of smoke for so long :( Anyway, hoping for a better second half of the summer for everyone, all the best to you and your husband :)

    Exactly the kind of boat our family rented in the late 60s-early 70s in America. Those were the best weeks of our lives. Thank you for the memories.

    Best vacation of my childhood (80s) was with four families sharing two houseboats on Lake Shasta (CA, US). Swam, skiied, played games, read, and listened to Beach Boys non-stop. I didn't realize they weren't being manufactured anymore, so that's cool that he's bringing them back to life. Hope it takes off!

    I could live in that full time. It's wonderfully cozy, a really good balance of affordability with enough creature comforts that keeps it from being a vacation-only option.

      @@RevdUp.Art.Fotografer I had the same thought. I'm seeing this as living solo, I think a family living on this full-time might be a big ask, but one person (and their four cats) this is just right.
      I like the fact that with the dishwasher, a small sink isn't a big deal.

    I really like the open upper storage. The little cross bar keeps everything in and lends a modern look. Love all the wood. Looks very clean and sleek.

    Use a water pump and pull water from bottom of lake into heat exchanger then discharge it off the side. Great cooling effects

    You're home is lovely and I love your kitchen. It feels so homey. Also, dining chairs do not have to match. Wouldn't it be fun to have two additional chairs that are similar but not exactly like the ones you already have. The only advice I would give is to follow your heart and trust yourself. Also, I would love to know about the paint you used on the living room walls. I want my bedroom to be that color. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

    Belle Réno . J’en ai possédé un pendant 30 ans . Best time of my life . Même bateau mais pas rénové .( veut pas dire que j’aimais l’original ) .
    Pour la stabilité du bateau et ses manœuvres , je m’étais fait souder une dérive que nous avions fixé avec de# écrous su4 la mi dérive du centre . Environ 12 pouces de hauteur totale , pendant 30 pieds de long , donc partait direct où la pointe du bateau rejoignais la coque plate . Je l’ai beaché tous les jours pendant au moins 1500 jours et jamais la coque avant a frotté , juste la partie de la fine touchait le sable . Un moteur 5.7 litres fait très bien dedans l’espace moteur à place du 3.0 litres pis se comportait beaucoup mieux . Sylvain

      @@brianasamuels Or they could just produce it in reasonable english , then us visually impaired don't have to pause the vid every few seconds to pause and enlarge the captions in order to read. Not a fan of these channels that discriminate against the visually impaired, and especially people like you who defend them.

    I mean, there are 3 frickin countries in the world that still use feet, toes, fingertips, nosegirth and other stupid measurements. Can't you at least in one of your videos be arsed to actually present data in metric?

    • @electrosyzygy
      @electrosyzygy ปีที่แล้ว

      In Canada and Quebec we use both, but it depends what we're measuring. Habit + the official switch to metric made in the 1970s. Confusing I know, but I doubt that is gonna change.
