What a perfect timing! I've just recently passed my test so now I'm trying to figure my dad's old car out and all my confidence is gone. This video reminded me of how with every driving lesson i was better at controlling my instructor's car so now I also have to go step by step and practise the things you've mentioned🙏

I learnt how to drive a car with a manual car but after that I have been driving an automatic for about a year now that I need to refresh my mind because am about to get a job that requires driving a manual
I see at biting point you don't focus on the brake pedal but more on the clutch and accelerator, i was taught to press both the brake and clutch and only release the brake at biting point
The accelerator helps you move off smoothly and with less chance of stalling. You can also move off quicker when using the accelerator as you can raise the clutch quicker :)
I'm 15 and can soon get a license at 16 so I'm pretty stoked, my grandad has a manual so I'm gonna try to practice on it! Wish me luck, hope I don't crash it lol

Hi Chris. May you tip me on how to press the accekarator please? When I add gas I overdo it and the car surges forward in a high speed. But when I ease o the gasf to reduce the speed the can then surges too slowly. In other words I struggle to adjust the sped of the car.
Hi! Footwear with a thin sole will help you feel the pedals better. Also, use the ball of your foot. The accelerator is sensitive and it's very easy to crush the pedal with too much foot on it.
One instructor told me to learn double d clutching , I don't understand this because I don't find it's needed , does anyone know what this is used for in a car?

@@seagu111 You only depress the clutch when your stopping or to change gear. If your not doing either of those things, you dont need to depress the clutch.
@@collinslfc he says press the clutch half way every time I do a corner in second gear and what’s worse is I don’t when to it the car up towards the corner I am tired of all these unknown rules wht you said is all correct

I was instructed to move the car with clutch only. Your videos are really helpful because through your videos, i got to know what reving is all about.
That only works in diesel cars. Try without gas in a petrol car and you will stall
you're Right. I v been driving for almost 2yrs Now and i v noticed the difference
@@johnlynch9940 my dads car can be moved without any gas ( not on a hill ) still recommend learning to use gas tho and if u wanna get away quickly ofc
sometimes u need gas to move away, as the engine might not be powerful ( lets say ur on a hill )

If I'm on a steep hill and have to stay with moving traffic, with the car at 3-4k revs, should i shift to second gear or not?
depends on how steep, if the engine is noisy/above 4k change gears but since ur on a steep hill try do it quickly!

Modern cars don't need double clutching.
u don’t need to double clutch, just press the clutch fully and change gear
I genuinely don't understand steering like how much steering is required when turning into or out of junctions, bends corners etc.
How do I obtain my learners permit license

You wouldn't normally need to press the clutch while turning in 2nd unless you want to stop.

so basically it's all about if you master to control gear change and clutch control you master the driving.
Mastering the controls is the first step :)
