Contralto always been rare. Her music teacher said 3 octaves that is very comfortable singing in and Diana herself said 4 total octaves (2.5 chest and 1.5 head).

Been a fan of Diana for a while. Don’t let her unique approach to vocals scare you off. She’s an amazing vocalist/yodelist.
The show she auditioned for and won was created for children who were orphaned. You will have to dig a little deeper to learn about her childhood and how after she started getting recognized her biological mother tried to come back into her life. The bald headed judge is a famous producer who signed Dimash. He also moved Diana and her foster mother away from the drama her biological mother was trying to create.
In my opinion, the first 3-4 song choices Diana made for the show seemed to have a more personal meaning to her. Just an observation. Hope you give her another listen. Perhaps Rechenka?
Why are you writing a lie ??? Dimash has no contract and obligations with Igor Krutoy - Dimash's interview on March 11, 2020 in Kiev. They just have an oral agreement on cooperation, and Krutoy for Dimash is only one of 6 of his composers with whom he works.
For six months now, Dimash has not been working with Igor, and has been composing songs for himself, and recording his author's album in Kazakhstan !!!
Polina Karra where’s the lie? Did they not work together? Has Igor not performed with Dimash? Has he not written songs that Dimash has performed? Just as recent as 2019. Yes, Dimash puts his own music out but they are linked just as Diana is linked. Have a good day.

Dimash has a producer - his father, Kanat Aitbaev, and Dimash did not sign any contracts with Igor Krutoy. Dimash performs with Igor Krutoy as his friend - they both constantly say this at concerts !!!
Also, Krutoy is not interested in Diana and doesn`t support her - she gave an interview a week ago, in which she said that Igor Krutoy gave her an apartment 2 years ago, and more he did not work with her and did not support her. These are her words. And you also know that Dimash and Diana don't even know each other personally - according to him, he saw her only 2 times on the Internet...Have a nice day too))
Polina Karra I never stated that he was the producer of Dimash. I wrote that he signed him. Which, from my understanding 2 years ago was true. If I’m wrong then so be it. However, Krutoy has indeed performed with Dimash and has written music with him. Dimash even came to NY to perform in Krutoy’s event here.
I also never stated that Krutoy was “interested” in Diana, I wrote that when her biological mother tried to come back into her life after she started gaining popularity, that he moved her to a safer place. This is why he got the apartment. Which you just confirmed. I’ve been following Diana ever since her first performance on You are Super. I’ve read many articles and translated even more to know her background and story. I’m not saying you’re wrong or that I am right. But based on my own research it seems the story has changed.
At the end of the day, we are fans of Diana. She has a unique voice that is both beautiful and haunting. May we leave it at that and move forward. Cheers.

Dimash agreed to perform in Russia, and sing Krutoy's songs at his concerts for the right to sing Krutoy's songs at Dimash`s solo concerts, since Igor Krutoy does not sell copyrights to his songs for money, but asked Dimash to sing at his concerts in Russia and even in America, after which he gave permission for copyright to his songs to Dimash.

Keep reacting to this young lady. Don't let the contralto voice or the language barrier scare you off. She is so versatile, she has sung in several languages which includes Russian(native), French, English, Spanish, German; she also sings in several genres, and she can yodel. She is masterful at interpreting and portraying emotions. When she is singing, she becomes one with the song. Keep an open mind, I promise you she will grab you by the soul.
Diana is the most amazing, unique and passionate singer in the world. I love her and am excited to watch her career progression to the top of the world charts.

From what I remember reading, Dian a was severely abused for the first three years of her life by her mother.. She was taken away by the state and put into foster care. The foster mother adopted her and taught her to sing. She's from Kazakhstan and super unique.

Diana is a contralto and has been working hard on her upper register (watch her cover of A-ha Take On Me). She is also known for her natural overtones (high and low notes at the same time) which really stand out in certain vocal ranges. She uses yodel techniques and can sing with power in the area where her voice is almost ready to break to the next higher or lower note. Phenomenal voice and an even more phenomenal human being. Her back story and how she has overcome so much with help, hard work and dedication is an inspiration to us all.

Regarding the show and judges: this is a show for kids. they are cute, sometimes serious, with the spark of talent in them, always adorable.
Then Diana walks in, little girl, beaming smile, however as soon as the music starts the little girl is gone. And she takes us away too.
She can conjure energies using her vocal choices (at age of 14!), expressions, emotions, stage present which grabs you, puts a spell on you, mesmerized by her you can't do anything

It's an incredible show in which talented children without parental care have a chance to express themselves and demonstrate their vocal abilities to the whole country.
Over the years the project "You are super!" the show helped young stars to reveal their vocal talents and take their first steps into
a professional musical career. Some participants fulfilled their dream and found their long-awaited parents.
In the first two seasons, the project involved children from Russia and the CIS and Baltic countries
- Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Estonia and South Ossetia, as well as from Germany and Syria.
There are no chosen mentors, nor turning chairs, they only vote to decide who should go to the semifinal and final. (Sometimes early to reassure, also when they hear something unique,
sometimes when there is pause in the music, or they just watch and experience the performance and push late.)

Her voice definitely sounds like Cher in this performance, especially when she sings the line "somebody like you". But that's where the similarity ends. And don't confuse sternness for attentiveness, especially the last judge. He was judging her as an adult. Btw, Diana had a lot of input in the costume and set design on this show.

People often cite Wicked Game as the go to Diana song. But in honesty whilst she first caught attention with this song, she was very young here and was very comfortable in her chest voice but had yet to establish her head voice and the upper range.
Can't help falling in love is by far her best to date and shows the tremendous work she put in.

Thanks Guys, cool reaction. Diana has many performances from this show called You Are Super. The show features troubled and orphaned kids giving them an opportunity to show their talents. Diana was badly abused as a young child by her birth mother and placed into an orphanage. Adopted by a worker at the orphanage she wouldn't speak and was taken to a voice/singing teacher where she began to express herself in song. You can read her back full story from others. I have been a fan for a couple of years. Diana is a Contralto vocalist, the deepest possible female voice. But she can go deeper than you heard here, plus of course she can go higher. From the same show, try Rechenka, you'll here her lowest note that I know of so far. But more recently she had some FUN and covered Camila Cabello's song Havana. Enjoy! :)
Recently she said her voice has dropped almost 2 octaves more, so she really has to work on her high notes.

It is fairly common for reactors to have trouble stringing together a coherent sentence after hearing Diana for the first time. As with Dimash, we need to adjust our whole idea of what a singers should sound like and allow the definitions of genres to evaporate. The distinctive tone that really mystifies everyone when they hear Diana's voice, is more than just an unusual contralto (like Cher). I believe she is using polyphonic overtones - more commonly known as throat singing. They are World Bringers. I believe they do this by virtue of their own integrity, as much as a result of their God given talent and decades of dedicated work. Learn Diana's back story - it is tragic beyond belief but at the same time a part of what she is. And I love the way we are being exposed to the sounds of the silk road with Dimash and Diana. Diana has something mysterious, mystical in her voice. She is a dramatic contralto, the rarest contralto-type. If Dimash is the universe, then Diana is the earth, our home... and when you hear her voice, you feel like, she's wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and serving you a cup of hot, dark chocolate.
Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman, who gave her birth, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not want Diana either, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Finally, there she found love... from Irina Ponik. She worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for Irina... but she adopted Diana at the age of 5 and became, as I call it, Diana's 'real mother'. Diana has lived in a poor but loving family ever since. Since she was lagging in her speech development and even stuttered, she received singing lessons on the advice of a doctor.
In 2012, the family moved thousands of kilometers away, to Togliatti, because Diana did not let go of the fear, that the woman, who gave her birth, would take her away.
Diana's voice and sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so, she convinced with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop, and Diana's stage costumes swallowed up the family budget. So, her mother completed sewing courses and has been sewing all the clothes herself since then.
One day Diana was asked to take part in competitions farther away, so that other children would have a chance to win.

To the general surprise, none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. The next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition.
In 2018 and 2019, a unique international competition 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children, was launched in Moscow. Diana taked part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to TH-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Igor Krutoi, mentor and jury member of the competition, gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow. So, she was able to continue her vocal training with the best teachers like Professor Olga Donskaya (videos on TH-cam).
The break of voice made Diana’s voice darker and deeper. She worked hard to get the lost high notes back and has expanded her vocal range to 3 octaves, currently from D3 - D6 ... and it will go on. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stil. She likes to paint and draw, so much that we can be glad that she decided to sing… But did you notice she holds a microphone only in the right-hand? The left-hand underlines and paint, what she is singing. Diana puts her whole soul into each song. That all makes her performances special and unique.
But she's not just a great singer and storyteller, she's also a humble, intelligent and hardworking young woman, who loves her family and appreciates, what they sacrifice for her. She loves her fans (they are 'Friends' to her) and she is grateful, that they helped to improve her home studio. On TH-cam Prof. Donskaya und Diana also regularly answers the many questions of her Friends. Her Russian Friends chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).
In her home studio, she is currently experimenting (Corona time) a lot with different music genres and performing on both large and small stages.
2020 Diana graduated from school and in September she has become a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts. She studies in the specialty "Variety Artist". She also wants to learn to compose and arrange her own songs.
She will only take part in major competitions if invited. Such competitions require a lot of time, effort and strength. As a result, the participants later often have major educational gaps and problems. Diana is a smart young woman. She focuses on her studies, her voice and expanding her repertoire.
