I only found out about her 3 days ago and she is my first go to on youtube. I just can't get enough of her voice. She has been sent from another planet to teach us how to do it. For those who are new to Diana: The composer (in 1994) of "I Will Win You Back" is the judge on the right of the screen in this "Wicked Game" performance (the one who hit his button last). Apart from that, she has beautiful covers of other artists as well as several very interesting originals.

I only found out about her 3 days ago and she is my first go to on youtube. I just can't get enough of her voice. She has been sent from another planet to teach us how to do it. Diana Ankudinova was adopted by an amazing loving family, and then began singing later to help her with her speech.
Wikipedia has the sequence right. He was going by memory of what he had read. In the Spring of ’23 Diana performed on the Russian version of the Masked Singer Show at the age of 19. On the first five performances, she disguised her voice so the performances didn’t attract much attention and I didn’t know the show existed. For those who are new to Diana: The composer (in 1994) of "I Will Win You Back" is the judge on the right of the screen in this "Wicked Game" performance (the one who hit his button last). He is also the one who gave Diana an apartment in Moscow in 2018 so that she could live near the center of Russian music education opportunities and the Russian music entertainment industry. Although the music for "I Will Win You Back" was written before Diana was born, it sounds exactly like it was written for Diana's voice.

She’s what is called a Contralto. It’s the lowest natural register for a female vocalists. She sings thru the upper chest cavity and the back portion of her throat giving that unique open sound. Diana had appeared on the same show a year previously with a spectacular performance of Rechenka, a traditional from the far east of Russia, which she sung pn the second episode. On the first episode, she melted the hearts of the judges with a version of Indila's Dernière Danse.
In a more recent show, she stunned the judges, which were also her co-competitors, with a radical re-interpretation of Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love. Apart from that, she has beautiful covers of other artists as well as several very interesting originals.
