what FPS does your monitor run at? just curious - the mere act of reading must be getting really difficult at this point. another thing I've always wondered is if a theme that coloured '16ths after red' and '16ths after blue' slightly differently would improve reading or if it's marginal.
For the colors part, I think that's more of a noteskin and preference thing. If you try "celrainbow12" from Etterna for instance, it'll color those 16ths differently because it works by their position in relation to each other as opposed to their quantization. On the flip side of preferences, I've seen people prefer "halved" noteskins where 4ths and 8ths are red and 16ths are blue (and so on backwards) and even totally flat noteskins like pure white arrows.
