Goth Kitty doesn't sound very wastelandy but its the nickname I got for the moment. Any tutorials on picking your wasteland name or what's considered good "barter" items?
In terms of wasteland names, I’d go look for ideas of things you can borrow and amalgamate into your own. Searching post apoc name ideas, or looking for specific things like names from Mad Max or other post apoc things. Ones that inspired me are names like Jagwire from Bat Out Of Hell the musical and names of characters like Party Poison from True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (both album and comics). For bartering, specific post apoc themed foods and drinks such as replicas of Dinky Di from Mad Max go down well, as well as outfit pieces, especially patches and pins which seem to be really popular.

Rule of thumb is is it inspired or is it recognisable? If you’ve taken inspiration from a costume piece you’ve seen in pop culture and made it your own, that works. If it is recognisable as something belonging to a pop culture character (eg an iconic shape or colour work that can be easily named), then it doesn’t work. Hey, yeah, there's basically three types of bottle caps. First Are the Caps you're going to get off of any old soda or beer bottle. They don't have much value other than decoration. the next is custom caps that people make to give out, usually hand decorated or ordered from bottle Mark or any other bottle cap printer. Hey Bucket. I'm going to try to give my best honest answer here because I know its very important. Wasteland has always been an overly accepting environment. People of all races, places, genders, creeds, religions and political views are welcome and encouraged to attend. We have in the past had minor issues with individuals who felt the need to go against wasteland's values of inclusion and acceptance, but overall, I think everyone can find a welcoming place in Wasteland City. And this year, more than ever, I've seen Wasteland's staff take a strong stance against any actions, at the event and even in the real world and online social spaces, against anything that could be interpreted as racist, sexist, or bigotry. I think Wasteland will continue to be a safe space for anyone who wants to attend. For any bad actors that slip through the gates at an event, Wasteland has full time security and a local police presence, and has a reputation for immediate expulsion from the event for actions that might interfere with others enjoyment of the post-apocalypse. To sum up. I believe that the wasteland community is one of the most accepting groups of people I've ever met. We celebrate people for who they are, we get weird, and for a week each year, we get to forget how shitty the real world can be. :)
1. The Wasteland salute. Don't get offended easily. 2. Portable reusable cup, plate, and utensils. 3. 88.3 FM wasteland radio station. Think Fallout radio. 4. Tribe missions. Walk around to meet people or find some object. Rust Devils. Dauntless Express for missions 5. No politics, the world is over. Politics is dead. 6. Respect and etiquette. Consent first, consent always. Ask for camp entrance. Use roads. No pics or touchy of naked people. Flashlights down to ground. Don't touch animals, call security. 7. Costumes on everyone. No zombies, aliens, mutants, or pop culture creatures. Go for looking like a Mad Max extra. Bartertown for costume and make up. 8. Atomic Cafe. Bring cup. Free drinks. Donate unopened hard alcohol and mixers. 9. HYDRATE OR DIE. Electrolytes and eat routinely. 10. Camp stuff. Rebar, long spikes. Spike everything down. Tie everything down and flag ropes/spikes. Shade from heat. 11. Contests and participation. Costume contest. Swim suit contest. Vehicle contest. Thunderstone cage battle. Sign up link before hand. 12. Gifting is good. Bartering is better. Stealing is bad. Junk is Wasteland fuel. Bring weird shit to hand out. 13. Be safe! Medical emergency then call for medic. Call for security. Watch out for rust. Don't get too drunk.

@@longrider42 Yes, but an NCR uniform is probably a 200 year old bloodstained and mended mess when issued, keep the theme and keep it fun and everyone is happy. See you in the wastes.
James Hart you do realize many troopers are out on their own for days at a time with no showers or washing machines? They’re no more clean than the legion.
been a hobo for wasteland since I was a pre teen me and mine recently fell in with the zombies from there on but have nots was a beginning of my $6 a year on wants now ups inherit almost ....thanks
So people wasteland 2019 was awesome.. let it be know that the portable toilets were full expect them to be full bring a camp toilet you will need it!!
haha i think the porto co went on strike for a day. But i don't think it was WW's fault....they've gotten better every year though.
Is this form the same for 2021? Because last time in 2019 I signed this waver and my name was not on the list.
You mean thunder dome right? They're not coming in 2021. We hope to have them back in 2022 but there will likely be a new link for the waver
#13 dont bring a modern mad max inspired car ...they wont let you be in the cruise ..
I'm curious, send me a pic?
@@TheApocalypsePost big discussion over it ...mine was very mediocre..but there were a few ..like a gto ..decked out ..that got turned away..a 66 polara got turned away ...I drug mine 1670 miles ...to drive in the desert ..didnt get to ...learning experience...I guess there was fine print I didnt read ..but I'm not a heavy reader ..why I watch your videos ..lol
You have some facial feature qualities to Chris Cornell.
I've gotten that before :)
Can I bring in my working power armor?
No, but I wish you could. No power armor, aliens, zombies, mutants, robots, etc. Full info on what's not in theme at wastelandweekend.com
@TheApocalypsePost darn, That's a shame.
However, and it might be too late for this year, but neotropolis done by the same people would most likely accept some awesome power armor
BURNINATORS!!!!!!!!!
I so wanna go...... 45 to old?
Never!!! It's 18-100+
So, an M577 Aliens APC won't make the cut...but a Damnation Alley 'Landmaster' replica would fit the theme. Cause it has to be post-apocalyptic, right?
That's a bummer, cause while i love the Landmaster (Dean Jeffries offered to sell it to me once) I wasn't planning on building one. I AM planning on building a 1:1 scale M577 APC though. It's just 16 items down the list. www.therpf.com/forums/threads/aliens-m577apc-full-size-build-discussion-thread.210132/
Wasteland world just announced a cyber punk desert event for spring 2020. I think your APC would work well there!!!
And where
Where are other Wasteland style events in the U.S?
There's a lot. Detonation and Atomic falls are next up.
Come to CANADA , POT IS 100% LEGAL . No fuckin joke ! ! ! You can buy pot at the corner store .
Xtreme larping
It can be. WW is not a larp, its also not not a larp
When does it take place
It's 2 hours north of LA and it's in late Sept. Details at wastelandweekend.com
@@TheApocalypsePost thanks
@@TheApocalypsePost i read somewhere the nearest town is Edward California
@@mikeperkins4877 yes it's in N. Edwards technically. There's not much there. The nearest town for supplies is California City, and Mojave (a bit further).
Honest question. Will there be race issues there with me being non-white?
Oh and based on what I see on your channel, I think you're gonna fit in just fine :)
I just have a question.
Can I act like a wastelander who is not a sadistic f**k
Or act like a sadistic f**k
Sure! Totally allowed.
Im just saying I want to act like a innocent wastelander trying to survive
@@reynardthesniperfox5993 yes, you can do that
Don’t do drugs 😂
I think the biggest no no is going there under 18... Am I true?
That's right, it's 18+
can you be a kid and go to wasteland weekend
18 and up bc y know naked people
If there wasn’t those probobly you could
If you really want to go just put it as the first thing on your 18th birthday bucket list or something
100th comment!!!!!
Yessss!
1. The Wasteland salute. Don't get offended easily.
2. Portable reusable cup, plate, and utensils.
3. 88.3 FM wasteland radio station. Think Fallout radio.
4. Tribe missions. Walk around to meet people or find some object. Rust Devils. Dauntless Express for missions
5. No politics, the world is over. Politics is dead.
6. Respect and etiquette. Consent first, consent always. Ask for camp entrance. Use roads. No pics or touchy of naked people. Flashlights down to ground. Don't touch animals, call security.
7. Costumes on everyone. No zombies, aliens, mutants, or pop culture creatures. Go for looking like a Mad Max extra. Bartertown for costume and make up.
8. Atomic Cafe. Bring cup. Free drinks. Donate unopened hard alcohol and mixers.
9. HYDRATE OR DIE. Electrolytes and eat routinely.
10. Camp stuff. Rebar, long spikes. Spike everything down. Tie everything down and flag ropes/spikes. Shade from heat.
11. Contests and participation. Costume contest. Swim suit contest. Vehicle contest. Thunderstone cage battle. Sign up link before hand.
12. Gifting is good. Bartering is better. Stealing is bad. Junk is Wasteland fuel. Bring weird shit to hand out.
13. Be safe! Medical emergency then call for medic. Call for security. Watch out for rust. Don't get too drunk.
Thx!
Finally a place where I don't give a fuck about the world and dress up as a god man warrior but I have to ask can you bring your own food and drinks? Just saying
The 'your gonna get hurt' part tells me that youd be great at doing those new employee training videos. Would be fun seeing Makeshift in a sexual harassment video 'Your gonna get harassed...yer gonna get harassed...heres how to hurt that person. Because they deserve it...Legal pain is the best pain.'
Virgo, you're going to single handedly amp up this channel
No mutants? BOOO!
Haha, I mean, you can have a very large growth ;)
i pooped my pants and put my underwear down in the porta john to hide it. next day i found them on a pole outside. lucky for me i no longer write my name on my underwear
You're a crass act!
