Feeling, processing and returning to productive action

  • If you're going through a time of stress, disappointment or anxiety, what are some things that you do - when you're ready - to get back to a place of being able to move forward? Here is Debbie's "keeping it real" advice.

    Not sure how I didn't see this sooner!!! Sorry I wasn't there for you on that rough day, but I always love you 'realness' Debbie. On the productivity side for me--when things go sideways, I triage! Do the absolutely necessary 'tasks' so that the wheels don't come off the bus, but push out non-critical things and schedule them for another day. That way I know they won't get forgotten, but can relieve the stress of the moment. Reminding myself of something that I am deeply grateful for also helps me stay grounded since sometimes it is easy to feel like one or two bad things can make me forget all the good stuff too. Lastly, calling a friend to say CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?? is often just the release I need--and to hear their challenge of the day as well, and know that we are in it together. Thanks for being a great friend and special woman!
