Nice ZL1. It’s a beauty. I bought a beautiful 2013 ZL1 red back 2022. I flew out to San Bernardino and drove it back to San Francisco with a big smile on my face. It was modded, but I ended up modding it more and it was an absolute beast. Months later it was stolen in front of my house and found in Oakland stripped. My heart was broken 😞 . Fast forward to now, I bought a 2019 ZL1 a month ago all stock and I am looking forward to modifying it!
7:13 you can tell just how much the car squats from getting the power down to the rear wheels by just looking out the back of the rear window. Pretty impressive.

Whatever you do, don’t waste money modding the RS (V6). I’m sure you know that already. Lol Save up your money and see if you can find a clean 5th gen ZL1 (13-15), before they start inflating like crz in price and people start hoarding parts for them.
Nice simple mod list! I bought my ZL1 a couple weeks ago and it’s bone stock. Plan on doing Rotofab intake, ARH 2” catless headers, 3” Corsa catback, and 2.55 upper pulley. After that may do bigger heat exchanger and then just some interior and audio mods. Doesn’t take much to make these things fast as hell! Really enjoying it stock right now though, still plenty quick for my needs haha.

@mikehogan5087 Afco Heat Exchanger with the dual fans is one of the best upgrades to do. Along with an ice box in the truck or an interchiller. But, those 2 are only worthy if you're gonna track the car. My friend in Michigan actually created his own heat exchanger that he sells that's bigger and I believe performs better than the Afco.
@69Ford429 why not just go procharger and sell the lsa? Especially in his case he has a built on zl1? If I were him I'd sell that lsa supercharger and go centrifugal do you agree?
Gabe, if you want an easy 10-15 horsepower, get rid of the stock exhaust and go with a 3in setup. A lot of people say the exhaust size doesn’t really matter, but I gained some even with my regular SS
Trust me, the next thing you're gonna wanna do is is install a Corsa cat back. It sounds sooooo much better than the shit stock NPP exhaust. Also, you'd hope the previous owner had the supercharger at least serviced under warranty at a dealership or better yet, installed a solid isolator. Theres also a little butterfly valve in the supercharger you can turn with a screw I believe to gain free boost.

It literally says the brand on the plaque welded to the header on cylinder 2. 2. How is a catch can a cooling mod? 3. The previous owner paid 9k for an intake, headers, catch can, belt and tune?

I did a lot of exterior mods on mine first. If you had a 14-15 you’d understand. So ugly stock in the back. Weird round thing in the trunk lid. Anyway, the back of my car is amazing now. It’s time to build power
I daily drive mine. It’s bone stock but I get 15mpg on average. The visibility is the biggest thing to overcome. After that, storage space isn’t the greatest but it’s a 2 door sports car lol.
