It's worth mentioning that at 3'.05" you have left enough travel on the engine mount threads before fixing the bearers to the hull, so adjustment can be made so the gearbox coupling centre line can be lowered below the center line of the propshaft.
i.e there's travel in all four directions, up, down, side to side. Before fixing the engine bearer plates permanently.

Good point, well spotted. Boat owners are often put off undertaking an engine refit at it is always emphasised ĥow deadly accurate everything has to be. But if done in this order and as you mention the tolerance of the engine mounts gives a lot of adjustment if needed.
