I love how supportive and encouraging you are of each other in the videos. Doing home renovations can be fun and frustrating, but you guys cheer each other on and teach us some tricks too. Thanks for your posts!
Been watching you since Levi was a baby and really love your personality Oscar! You are so funny and so positive! You deserve all the good things! I love seeing you and Addie! Please do more vlogs with her 😊
Although I know you guys are super busy with your own life’s being parents and realtors I really hope you guys can make more videos🥺 really enjoy your guys content!🫶 been watching you since I was in highschool when Levi was just a baby 😭 ! I’m glad your in a way healthier relationship now, Excited for yours and Addie’s journey to come 🤍🩷 she’s absolutely beautiful
Nooooooooo! I love vintage hardware. My home is very victorian. Is there anyway I could buy those from you. Please tell me those didn't go in the trash. 😢 I'm sorry they don't bring you joy. Im reaching out, because those cabinet fixtures bring me joy and would go sooo good in my farmhouse kitchen remodel. Let me know if you still have them and if I could possibly buy them off you. Thank youuu. Love your content!
Paint the cabinets next. You can sand them down or use a primer that won't allow oil to bleed through, then paint. A nice Royal Blue, Black, or White would look good with the Brass cabinet pulls. you should also spray paint the stove hood.
Oh my gosh, I didn’t expect it to be after seeing it half way through, but at the end it looks so much better than it did! It’s so much lighter and brighter!
Wow, it looks better than you think. I'd get some heat resistant paint and do your hood fan white. Looks great guys. Nothing wrong with temporary fixes while waiting for renos.
Paint the cupboards, do a glass backsplash, and do it yourself epoxy countertops. You can make them look like real granite. Just make sure you have plastic down covering the entire floor, because you’ll have drippings. But the results are amazing looking.
as someone who also bought an older house and my kitchen had the same countertops and back piece as yours but in BLUE…. It was a money saver and a lot easier to just rip it out and install granite/tile backsplash.
My mom always did this to the counters in our rental as kids and painted the cabinets. She would do the peel and stick tile in the bathrooms as well. Creative on the cheap lol
We painted our countertops with exterior door paint several layers and then sealed with polyurethane a few layers 4 years ago and they’re still holding up fairly well! Definitely not a permanent fix but it’s saved us having to buy new countertops for the last few years. Ours were an awful green
I think it looks nice all put together. I would love to see you guys sand the cabinet doors and repaint them! The woodwork is so beautiful, it would be a shame to knock it all out.
And you need flexible trim for around the backsplash and on top of countertops. Also called trim molding. Measure where you want it and order how long you need. And I would color block the cabinets. Color on bottom, white on top
it looks great! I feel like if you add some modern decor where all the glass cups are it can also help give it a different vibe. :) the glass cups are giving old school too lol love your videos guys!
It looks nice. You can also paint the cabinets but I warn you that is a bigger project than you think. We did our tiny kitchen and it took us a month to get it done between sanding and painting multiple coats. It does help the look to go from brown to light though.
I'm currently resoing my kitchen on a budget. Paint, paint and more PAINT!!! Contact paper instead of peel and stick backsplash. Paint the counter, paint the cabinets and change hardware. Remove the cabinet above the sink and replace with floating shelves.
Soooo proud of you both and the kitchen makeover can just be a temporary solution even if it’s a year and you save up along the way to do a full remodel. ❤
I did this to my moms place for her and it turned out great! I got the 5$ vinyl rolls from Walmart. It takes patience to lay it town and a strategy. I only messed up my first try (a small piece) by wrinkling it and then took it off and restarted. If anyone wants to try this it really does work and can look beautiful. It also has held up to water so far 3 months later and looks and feels amazing! If you have a second person to help lay the counter top vinyl down it helps too, because they can hold it while you flatten the piece down on one side with a card. I did it alone though and it was fine. Its a great cheap way to redo your kitchen! and once its wrinkled pull it up and either start that piece over, or pull the wrinkle out. Since its paper it wont unfold and become flat by using a blow drier, there is no space for the fold to lay out. edit- The second way yall layed it down is deff easier! I think it looks amazing!!!
Looks really good. painting the cabinets is pretty inexpensive and easy way to make it feel Like a brand new kitchen. And you can get a spray paint for appliances to do the range.
Paint your cupboard doors ! Cheaper way to have a brand new kitchen for a year :)))))
I painted mine white 5 years ago and still look perfect
Was thinking the same! Maybe a dark gray, black, White or dark blue. Think would look nice with the gold.
@louisecaldas499 yeyeyye !!! Painted mine dark blue -- look stunning !! Anything will look lovely against the white :))))
What kind of paint did you use :)
@lovelifelaugh2727 i dont know where you are .. here in UK ITS Farrow and Balll - inchyra Blue :)))))
White outlet covers, replace range hood. And if you want, knock out the cabinet above the sink and replace with true floating shelves
Vinyl the range hood! I did that too my apartment and oooo I love it!
They could also just use appliance paint and paint the hood instead of replacing it.
OMG, yess! More house DIY makeover videos please!! You are so cute together as a couple!! ❤
I agree, we are in the process of making our home a bit more modern and love this content
I think if you paint your cabinets with a dark green, the door handles would pop a lot more and would be a great match with the countertop color!
omg yes
Obsessed with this idea
You can actually get paint for countertops!
Nice! That range hood is in need of being replaced. No yellow. That throws off the whole vibe. Love you two ❤❤
Just paint it
They make paint for that. ❤
Agreed and they can be relatively inexpensive to replace
@@mzj384agree! Painting it would make a HUGE difference!

Kitchen looks way better, the lights bring it out more. Good job.❤❤
The things on your counter tops really brings it all together. The warm and cool tones
We are loving the consistency Oscar & Addie!! Please keep posting! Love watching this family thrive!!
The kitchen space looks ALOT brighter now with the new backsplash and counter top
The kitchen is looking much fresher. Would love to see you guys cooking the food looks amazing.
Paint the vent!!! And paint the cabinets if you’re going to knock it down anyways! Experiment with cool colors!!
I'd suggest a rustolium resurfacing kit for the cabinets! Easy and looks gorgeous if you don't like the natural oak
It looks great!!!! ❤ maybe even doing a stick n peel on the dishwasher will lighten up the space more too!
My husband and I painted our cabinets and change the knobs and that made a huge difference if you would do that it would look even better
Good job guys! and I sympathize with the vinyl application.
Wow, it made a big difference. Looks nice.
You should do that thing where you paint it to look like marble!
You can get paint specifically for counters and cabinets. I painted my cabinets with Nuvo in antique white and its beautiful! So easy too xo
Love your content, love your vibe. Found you through DCP. Best best best wishes for your success and happiness!
Paint the cabinets next. You can sand them down or use a primer that won't allow oil to bleed through, then paint.

Definitely paint the cabinets! I painted mine and love it sooo much it brings a modern feel to it! Just make sure you sand prime and then paint!
Wow, it looks better than you think. I'd get some heat resistant paint and do your hood fan white. Looks great guys. Nothing wrong with temporary fixes while waiting for renos.
You can paint white the cupboards and it'll look amazing!!💖
Not white cupboards. That’s too much white. I’d say either a gray or black.
The cabinets are actually really cute as is with those knobs!
Paint the cupboards, do a glass backsplash, and do it yourself epoxy countertops. You can make them look like real granite. Just make sure you have plastic down covering the entire floor, because you’ll have drippings. But the results are amazing looking.
You can paint the counter top with melamine paint. I did that with my trailer counters before selling and it turned out well.
Put the countertop vinyl on the range hood
You guys are great together ❤
The above the stove hood vent you can get for like 100$ from Lowe’s or Home Depot. It makes a huge difference and is easy to install 😊
I love the regular posting! Thank you, Oscar! ❤😊 things are coming along nicely in the new house 😊
Happy to see more videos. Thank you both! It's looking fantastic. Beautiful job. Team work = Results ❤
Kitchen looks amazing!! Great job❤
as someone who also bought an older house and my kitchen had the same countertops and back piece as yours but in BLUE…. It was a money saver and a lot easier to just rip it out and install granite/tile backsplash.
Absolutely love you guys!!! Give us more reno!
It made a difference! Way to go! And good for you for being smart with your $$$$.
I painted my counter tops with a Giani paint kit to look like granite. It was so easy and it looks amazing! Id definitely paint the cabinets
It looks fantastic!! I agree if you’re waiting a year, you could always paint the cabinets
It looks good! Temporary fix, nice job
Paint the cabinets white! Or even a baby blue! Super easy!
Looks so good! Brightens up the space so much
My mom always did this to the counters in our rental as kids and painted the cabinets. She would do the peel and stick tile in the bathrooms as well. Creative on the cheap lol

Another Oscar and Addie video. How lucky I am. Love you guys ❤❤❤
I will say, I personally think its an improvement! Y'all are doing so good! I love this for y'all!!
And you need flexible trim for around the backsplash and on top of countertops.
Also called trim molding.
Measure where you want it and order how long you need.
And I would color block the cabinets. Color on bottom, white on top
Love it, paint the cupboards white I think it would look really good, but for how it is right now. Great job.

It looks so great guys!!! Inspiring me to do something similar in my kitchen!!!
Soooo proud of you both and the kitchen makeover can just be a temporary solution even if it’s a year and you save up along the way to do a full remodel. ❤
It's definitely so much better. Good job
I think you should paint the cabinets white to open up the space as well as the yellow vent hood.❤
For a temporary thing, it looks SO much better!!!! Good job guys 😊🫶🏼
Paint the cabinets white and it will be perfect...looks great!
it looks so much more inviting and brighter! I would actually want to cook in there now 🤭

It looks really nice! You guys convinced me to redo my countertop.❤

Turned out pretty good ❤looks much better and welcoming . Especially that it’s just temporary
WOW!! Yesss! It looks SOOO much better! It's actually really nice looking now!! I don't think that's bad AT ALL.
Yes as everyone says Pain the cabinets
I’d love to have white top cabinets with a dark green or navy-ish /grey mixed bottom cabinets in the future
Those dumplings look 🔥
Your videos are so much better!!!❤❤❤
OMG THATS TEN TIMES BETTER!
Love the individual poses in the kitchen 😆
I painted my cabinets years ago and it still looks good, I used the rustoleum cabinet kit no sanding ❤
Looks really good. painting the cabinets is pretty inexpensive and easy way to make it feel
Like a brand new kitchen. And you can get a spray paint for appliances to do the range.
