It was absolutely amazing to be your teammate for this one Joel! Always fantastic to share the table with you, thanks again for having me! What a challenge!! Who doesn't love steak!?
English Mustard for Steak and ham. Creamed Horseradish for beef. Apple sauce for pork. Mint sauce/jelly for lamb. Cranberry sauce for Turkey and Chicken. Bread sauce for gammon. Tartar sauce for fried Fish. Mayonnaise or curry sauce for chips. Brown sauce for English breakfasts and breakfast baps (like a bacon or sausage sarnie). Ketchup or burger sauce for burgers and hot dogs.
Deffo agree with mustard on ham, also have it with beef, but i like horseradish with beef also. I like tomato sauce on bacon sarnies & brown sauce on sausage sarnies, also pineapple or egg on gammon 👍
@kelticsage on the contrary, they cooked it way too hot, giving it "grill marks" or burning it, but no center cook. You an also tell because some parts of the steak did get a crust. But most of it just steamed giving it a grey color
Wow, Joel, this is a HUGE challenge! Max is a great partner, he has become an excellent eater. I love how friendly & courteous you always are to everyone. This was a really fun video to watch, you guys are great together. Fantastic!
I love seeing Joel’s videos of the various food challenges! He has amazing skills and is generous to other competitors. He only competes against the challenge! Kudos to you Joel
Joel you are amazing to listen to, if you ever decide to retire from food eating, you could do a travel around the world showing us different places and restaurants, we would still follow you, very entertaining you are, amazing personality you have, I pray you go far and live life to its fullest, wishing the very best for you, GOD has gifted you with a very personable heart, thanks for sharing all your adventures, and being so kind
Take it easy, Joel. I'll be watching you again. Please forgive me for not paying for the 1499 a month. I'm not that kind of guy. But I totally appreciate and respect what you are doing and what you have created because it's freaking phenomenal.
Joel, where in the heck do you put all that food?! Lol, okay, I realize it goes in your tummy, but, I'm still amazed how much you can consume in one sitting. It's truly is remarkable. I have watched other eating challenges with other people, but you are definitely the best! 💋
I agree with you about the meat sweats. It's just any food. Some people sweat from eating anything. I think it's the seasoning that makes me sweat. By the way I believe there's a huge difference between the table condiment ketchup and the cooking ingredient tomato sauce.
Easy Joel, The best 1👍. I'm from England, reit so here's the best brands for saucers. Heinz for tomato, Hp for brown, Colemans for English mustard, also mint sauce. And Sarsons for vinegar, Hope that helps for future. Hendersons ov Sheffield for Relish.
Max is a great content creator but his video was extra quiet I enjoyed that you can do both communicate with the people around you and the viewers and eat at the same time
I live about 20 minutes from this place and seen it in person!!! It looks small on the video compared to in person! Fair play to you lads!!! Would love to see you do the mixed grill challenge or the cake challenge! Keep it up mate! Love the content
What an absolutely lovely Chap @MaxVsFood is!!! I recall all the encouragement and friendly advice he gave me on the one and only eating challenge I did a while back…and…came joint Second….Outta Three!!! 🤣😂🤣😂
I'm very surprised how rare the steak is because they tend to go more well done in the UK. Maybe it's because of the hot stones. I ❤ watching both Joel & Max so I guess I'll be watching this on both channels.
Heck no ... All of my English clan are rare or medium. Older generations tend to prefer them well done. Like my mum ... If it's not super cooked and chewy like a rubber boot she wouldn't touch it 😅
@@JellyBaby33 I'm basing my comment on my experience with UK relatives, including my father. Definitely a much older generation. They all ate their beef the same wellness as your mum!
I'd definitely try the English mustard since it's more like horseradish. We always eat our roasts, and sometimes steak, with that. Great job you two!! Loved the patrons.
Yeah dude good stuff, you and max are killing it, more vids with you two would be cool, dont think you done one one with adam beard but that would be cool.
Loved the video. Meat sweats are definitely a thing for many people (myself included). I've heard foods that require more effort to digest tend to make us sweat.... but we're all different. Some experience it others don't ❤🎉
It's aways interesting to watch a side-by-side technique comparison. Everyone is different, but I know whose technique works best for him lol. I watched to the end... You should go to Catalina. The zip lining is fun, you can also go snorkeling, and there is some good food hidden in the hills. I take my Grandpa's yacht every summer. Worth the trip!
Congrats on another successful challenge! Both entertaining and educational. And now I better understand Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick in the Wall’. "If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding. How can you have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?" I always wondered why they were specific about pudding. Now I know.
I think I remember reading that American mustard uses vinegar, which cuts the spice of the mustard seed. English mustard uses water, the colder the better, and it makes it hotter. You can get Colman's mustard in the US, either prepared in a jar or dry powder in a tin that you can mix up with cold water yourself. It's great stuff!
He says that “this is where the video really starts to get crazy, and informative.” Followed by him telling his partner, “you’re ACTUALLY doing good brother, you’re almost done.” lol a lil, wow moment, of surprise that he was doing well ha, got me laughing, that’s fsho😂
Not making this up… I saw those pale grey steaks in the thumbnail, didn’t even click and immediately thought, I’ll bet that’s in England. 🤣 Then the veg and chips assured my hunch. Admittedly, I was married to a Brit and had some of the worst steaks of my lifetime there, but still. Pretty crazy I guessed it just based on appearance alone. JS
I am totally looking forward to seeing your Hawaii adventure. Weather you eat or not. I want to see where I grew up and have been last year. I want you to enjoy everything about Hawaiian sights.
Joel, yet another awesome challenge win! I love your videos! Not a fan of people altering their body with those weird openings of the ear lobes but a fan of your videos. And a fan of you! Hope your metabolism stays high and strong. lol
Binge watching a lot of your challenges with my 2 little kids…and they keep saying how they wish we had food like what your eating…we have only ramen and pancake mix right now so these videos are making all of our belly’s growl…LOL…it’s been a long time since we had any meat…too…You are so lucky…your a good guy too…my kids and I love your videos…if we weren’t middle class income family, I could cook some of this stuff you eat but unfortunately we make just enough to survive…LOL…but we love watching you eat all this delicious food and pretending we will taste it one day….😂😂😂😊good luck brother!!!
I am so glad no more giant cheesecakes for you! This looks like a monster challenge! Good luck guys You both are great go for it guys :) Max has this look on his face what did I get myself into look ;) I am surprised they only give an hour for all of that food that is nuts!!!! Well done Joel glad you enjoyed it in my part of the country I live just two miles from Paignton in Torquay the whole area of Torquay Paignton and Brixham is known as Torbay and the English Riviera..👍👍

Joel I believe you can beat all the challenges you do! Max is nice and fun to see to team up with in a challenge. My favorite is Scott to see you team up with but max and Scott would be a great trio ! I’m wondering if the variety of potato planted in the UK is the reason why potato’s don’t crisp up like in the USA. Or is it that in the USA most fries are double cooked ie frozen fries are pare cooked then frozen. The restaurant cook then fries the fries frozen . The hot stone is interesting 1. To continue to cook the meat 2. Keep the steak warm Texans would cry to see anything put on our steak. We want to taste the steak flavor. But I know how much you enjoy UK mustard and your ketchup.
What do you think of WELL DONE Steak?! 🙄
Not for me😅
Definitely i can't stand blood dripping out of meat
I like my steak almost alive 😂
Also not for me….
I want it medium
No ..medium rare only way to go!

Ranch on pizza....
Hope that steak tastes better than it looks 😂
No kidding
Not an ounce of seasoning 😡🤬 - Gordon Ramsay
Can tell they cooked it on low heat which is unforgivable but I guess that is what the stone is for
@kelticsage on the contrary, they cooked it way too hot, giving it "grill marks" or burning it, but no center cook.
You an also tell because some parts of the steak did get a crust. But most of it just steamed giving it a grey color

Ur mother must've hated cooking for u dudes

That steak looks horribly cooked
I Noticed it too 😅
Quoting Gordon Ramsay it's still mooing it's raw😮😮😮😮😮😮
Overcooked or under?
Joel loves to talk! Meanwhile everything once warm……….
@@cookie-pb3eu it's undercooked imo. Most people say medium rare is best, that looks rare at most. It's barely seared.
