- THEY SAID IT COULD NOT BE DONE… It was so hard everyone said it was a scam, it was impossible, the restaurant even said they would make it smaller as professional eater and Amateur alike could not beat it.. this viral food challenge even gained international attention. Today we try what is the worlds biggest Japanese GyuKatsu challenge at Kyoto Katsugyu【京都勝牛】In Toronto Ontario. This biggest Japanese food challenge consisted of fried steak (kinda like a chicken fried steak/ chicken fry with a panko bread crump), fried chicken, fried fish (a little different than fish & chips), fried shrimp, eggs, wasabi, so many more delicious items. Specifically Ribeye GYUKATSU, Chuck Flap GYUKATSU, 6oz Sirloin GYUKATSU✓ 8oz Karaage, Menchi Katsu, Ebi Katsu, Aji Fry, Rice, lots of rice, Miso soup (Unlimited) .Challengers Have only 35 minutes to complete the meal in order to get it for free, and a $25 gift card. Losers pay the $80. Can we be the same possible for the challenge, will this be our favorite challenge ever? Will this be the best food challenge I've ever attempted? If that had been commercially produced Wasabi he would have had tears streaming down his face due to it being mostly Horseradish that looked more like it was freshly grated so would have tasted a lot different and had none of the nasal passage pain caused by sushi train style Wasabi !

Didn't look so bad, then the rice was slowly revealed
even in half of the plate you will clearly see it or even 1/8 of it.
I so enjoy watching you eat Joel. You take time to taste the food, you apprciate the food. And compliment the chef also. You are polite too. And you take the time to tell us what it tast like.

I have a feeling the first wasabi was real, therefore no burn, whereas the second wasabi was typical green horseradish served at 99.99% of places. The real stuff is so good it could be a main dish, not a condiment!! Would love to try that egg yolk and ribeye bite!

in western they dont usually think rice is main food in a meal so this meal is for only one person or 2.

FYI, 24lb precooked meat. Total weight after cooked was 14lbs or so, which was still massive!
This is one of the few times, and I'm glad that seemingly you were able to actually enjoy the food, side dishes and all of the different flavor combinations they offered with this challenge.
