Would you be willing to test how robot vacuums perform on high pile carpet/rugs? It would be interesting to see if different robot vacuums are still able to navigate and clean well on thicker carpets. Thanks
+1 vote of appreciation that you paid enough attention to the drawbacks of the Shark app! I bought a previous Shark robot vacuum years ago after seeing your review of its raw performance, but I was disappointed with the poor app experience. Relevant quote from another review: "Shark put a great vacuum in a mediocre robot". Sounds like they're getting better at the robot part, but the app is definitely still lacking 😢
I also thought so, until I realized how often and how many filters I need to clean for bagless, which I also don't feel comfortable getting exposed to. After switching to the Dreame L40 Ultra, since 1.5 months ago my 3.2L bag seems to only be about 35% full. And I bought another 20 aftermarket bags for 30 euros. That's 30 euros for zero-maintenance, high-hygiene alternative that should last me a projected 5-7 years. It's just better.
The shark is okay in theory, but for bagless robovacs the Eureka e20 takes the W for the year. Better app functions and better dustbin emptying system.
"Live Progress" of the bot in app as it cleans is still baffling that this is not supported! Just that feature alone would be important to help set "No Go Zones" as the positioning of geometry is ambiguous at times. As well as it would allow you to see what the bot it getting/not getting , where it gets stuck or lost etc. Would really like to see them finally support that in app.
We had this with the mop. Honestly that would bring the score down. I agree with everything especially the app. This was an entry model for us because the affordability. We have our eyes on a flagship model, then plan to move the Shark in our bedroom, because of the cat litter. We got it for about $300 with the mop attachment.
Can you make a bagless tier? I hate the idea of having to buy bags and replace every single time it fills up. I want to know what is the best bagless one
Also the Shark Power detect clean and empty, Iv seen reviews that show a huge flaw in the cordless vacuums dirt collection bin that’s on the hand held itself because it has no centrifugal dust system it instantly clogs the metal mesh and then you have to empty it onto the gas station all the time when it’s not even full.
Yes, Shark's app has always been lacking vs. any of its competitors. One of the reasons when it came time to buy a new robo vac we didn't go with Shark, after our experience with a Shark. Bought a Roborock, have been very pleased.
Please add noise (in db) in your evals. I just swapped out a Roborock MaxV S7 with a Roborock Qrevo Curv, and wondered if the Curv was even running! (very quiet)
Are y'all going to start evaluating docking stations beyond just their advertised features? I'd like to see how many cleanings they can do relative to one another before being refilled and maybe even an emptying/mop washing efficiency for stations that include that
Hi I’m from the UK, and there is a version of this Shark Power detect that has a mop function and the base station has 3 variation of size including cleaning water and cleaning the floor mops. Would you be able to look into that model as it’s got a lot more features.
ain’t noway this shark has the same deep carpet cleaning score a 80 as the dyson360 vis nav. I refuse to believe it. you have to do a revisit series on some that have had major updates as the dyson has.
The same goes for apps. Screw them. They…should NOT be considered. Anyone with sense is concerned with ‘vacuum performance.’ Not nitpickers. The only only negatives I heard were “less efficient” and “bad with hair over 7 inches.” Good test/video. I’m competent enough to know what is and isn’t a good vacuum thanks to these tests/reviews.
Its not nitpicking when, most of the features (of any robotic vacuums) are only accessible through the app.. You are also paying for the additional features. For people like you, they still do make dumb robotic vacuum cleaners for under 200 USD.
I bought this exact robot on sale from Amazon to replace a Roomba J7+. I quickly realized my mistake. It constantly needed to readjust itself on its base long after vacuuming was completed which is odd. It also doesn’t clean on carpet as well as my Roomba did. I know Roombas are the kings of carpets but I expected it to be close with the Shark’s extra suction. Nope. Lastly, the plastic they’re using for these units feels… cheap. You’ll know what I mean once you see one of them in person. I’ll stick to Roombas.
it sucks the app is so bad cause otherwise I think there is a big market for people looking for a robot vacuum with obstacle avoidance and a good self empty station that does NOT have a tacked on mop attachment. But its rare any robots have obstacle avoidance without the mop.
I went with the S8+ with the standard dock because I didn't care about mopping all that much since I like to do it my own. And I still needed good obstacle avoidance but ended up needing to pay shit ton either way.
“Below average avoidance” is a positive for anyone with any sense. There are robots which sell your life away, and robots which don’t. Also the wall/air is cool(considering it works)?
Don’t forget that this guy accepts sponsorships from companies that actively lied about customer privacy and data and never addressed it or stopped collaborations with the company. Edit: Not sponsorships but promotes affiliate links to their products to make money from their products
@ Eufy was caught lying about their “what happens in your home stays in your home” privacy marketing on their products like their robot vacuums. Look it up they are an awful company who lied about privacy yet this guy kept reviewing their products and made no mention of this incident.
@@VacuumWars my apologies, not sponsorships per say but you do promote affiliate links to these products and this brand still with no mention of their mismanagement of customer privacy. If I was a consumer I would like to know this before buying.

Bagless is so nice.
We hear that from a lot of people!

Can you do a review on the shark power detect cordless stick vacuum with the clean base
First (ish)! When will the shark never touch review come?
darn it. We did the wrong one. 😉
It’s the Shark never touch pro model would have been good.
I ordered a brand new shark Martix whatever robot vacuum, came straight from the manufacturer, and they didn’t put either of dust bins in the box.

Great reviewed.when do you review the eureka j15??i heard that it has a powerfull suction.
Please add noise (in db) in your evals. I just swapped out a Roborock MaxV S7 with a Roborock Qrevo Curv, and wondered if the Curv was even running! (very quiet)
Why did you test the mopless version of the power detect pro =S

Have you tested the roborock q5 max+ vacuum
Please test Dreame Mova P10 Pro Ultra, if you can get your hands on it.
Can you do the Shark Power Detect Cordless Stick Vac with auto empty base, and and and... the Roborock H5 stick vac? 😅
When will you review the new Robot Vacuum + Mop with Auto-Refill from Shark?? Please tell me you’re reviewing it.
Wouldn't it be better, perhaps, to report battery capacity in wh instead of mah? They may use different voltages.
ain’t noway this shark has the same deep carpet cleaning score a 80 as the dyson360 vis nav. I refuse to believe it. you have to do a revisit series on some that have had major updates as the dyson has.
On the battlefield, Sharks robots are highly underestimated, but only by the people who dont live long.

Have to agree that plastic looks really cheap and the fit & finish looks bad even from here.
Great work. The app kills it for me.
When will you review canisters. Just because you do not like them doesn't mean other people dont like them.
How can they use dirt detect isn’t that iRobot
