Thank you for this lovely interview. I marvelled at Cardinal Pell, his peace and trust in The Lord when he was falsely accused. I’m from Melbourne, Australia. The witch hunt and trial by media here was diabolical. RIP Cardinal Pell✝️☀️🕊

The Victorian police actually ADVERTISED for people to come forward and report if they had allegations of sexual abuse against Cardinal Pell😮. They did this because Daniel Andrews, the premier could not wait to punish the Catholic Church by prosecuting it’s highest ranking prelate in Australia! It was disgraceful😢. However, we Catholics learnt a great deal from Pell about how to persevere in spite of unjust suffering imposed on you❤

I was very blessed to meet him several time in my travels, ministering with Net Australia back in the day. A very humble but forthright man.

I read the article which Cardinal Pell wrote for the Spectator, which was published the day after he died. In it, he made his views of the proposed Synod very clear and he also referred to the atmosphere at the Vatican as being “highly toxic”. I followed the legal proceedings in Australia with interest. Based on what the seven Judges in the Federal Court said, in unanimously quashing his conviction, it would not have been possible for a Jury, properly directed by the Trial Judge, to have returned a guilty verdict. So, the Trial Judge was responsible for the conviction, in not instructing the Jury to enter a “not guilty” verdict. Then when the matter went on appeal in the State of Victoria, two of the Judges decided not to apply the Law correctly and upheld the conviction. However, the third Judge, Mr Justice Weinberg, who had had a long and distinguished career and was due to retire shortly, decided that he was not able to go along with this travesty of Justice and, while apologising to his fellow Judges for having to put them right, delivered a dissenting Judgment allowing the appeal. As a result, the case was able to go on to the Federal Court, where all of the Judges were competent and the seven Judges were unanimous in quashing the conviction. So, if Mr Justice Weinberg had not defied public opinion (which was extremely strong in Victoria at the time) and delivered a Judgement according to Law, Cardinal Pell would have died in prison. This shows that the Lord is in control. In spite of the huge sums of money remitted to Australia by Cardinal Becciu (whose financial dishonesty was being discovered by Cardinal Pell) one of the Judiciary was incorruptible and no amount of money could persuade him to act dishonourably. So, the money remitted by Cardinal Becciu was wasted, as so much other money was wasted while he controlled the Vatican finances.

I too think Cardinal Pell was a wonderful man - I am ashamed & always will be for the way my country ,Australia treated him so badly , an innocent man...... In an interview he had many years ago, he said God made Adam & Eve ,NOT Adam & Steve, he also said the Germans suffered after the war... as soon as he made those comments, I knew they would be after him .Those who went after him.weren’t fit to tie his shoe straps - God rest his soul -- and I do believe he was murder .

Let's remember that the Australian Royal Commission on institutional child sexual abuse found that Cardinal Pell accepted legal advice to vigorously defend against the claim of at least one victim and survivor, aiming to deter other abuse victims from taking legal action. This led to a painful and lengthy cross-examination for the victim, for which the Church parties later expressed regret and apology. I hope Cardinal Pell indirectly experienced just punishment for his misdeeds through his mistrial and imprisonment while on Earth and that he now rests in peace.

Cardinal Pell almost surely had Asperger's Syndrome which meant he had difficulty empathising with the trauma those abused by religious people were suffering and why OTOH his Melbourne Solution was a bureacratic means to what he saw as the problem. It also meant that he could not compute that those targetting him in Victoria were operating from an agenda he was not aware of.

Ecclesiastes - 12:13-14 - The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgement, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
The Catholic church worships and prays to statues/pictures and idols of Jesus and Mary - NOTHING in the Bible that says to do this; the opposite is true. Jesus is not on the cross, He is risen so He should NOT be permanently crucified. Why are statues of Mary worshipped and prayed to, she is NOT God? Why does the Catholic church canonise people, praying to them for and accrediting miracles to them rather than to our Triune God? The first two of the 10 commandments are very clear.
1 Thou shall have no other gods before me.
2 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
    These first two commandments are very clearly being broken by the Catholic church and goes against God's teaching. The Bible is God's word and gives us explicit instructions. Jesus is the only way to God;
John 14: 6 - "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me"
Mary is not. There is nothing in the Bible about praying to Mary or a Rosary, the word does not exist in the Bible.
Matthew 6:7 - And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
Confession is good for the soul but we must confess our sins to Jesus because ONLY He has the power to forgive us our trespasses. Catholic Priests do not have that authority to forgive any sin ONLY Jesus does.
The Pope is NOT God’s representative on earth. Pope Francis recently said in a 60 Minutes interview “We are all fundamentally good. Yes, there are some rogues and sinners but the heart itself is good.”
Mark 7:21-22 - For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come-sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.
Hebrews 3:12 - Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.
Isaiah 32:6 - For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the LORD; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water.
1 John 1:8-10 - If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus..
Please follow Jesus, read the Bible. Do not lay up teachers for yourself on earth, trust in God’s word because you may think you are a Christian but there are many who lead you astray. Jesus wants a personal relationship with you. Going through the motions is not the way to really know Him and feel Him in your life. Seek Him and Him alone through The Bible. Read it for yourself - do not rely on someone to “teach” you.
Colossians 2:8 - See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 - For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
