Kenan, you could cut the 'log' in half lengthways. Screw/glue a piece of wood to the bottom, a half circle door from foam(use the same piece, cut in half). Then you'd have 2 arched hide boxes!

Nice hide. I would put a flat surface inside the log so she doesn’t have to lay in a curve. It would have been easier to get a good fit with the insulation if you had put chalk or pencil or something similar on the rim and then laid it on the insulation and pressed down. The enclosure turned out really nice. I’m sure she will enjoy the extra space. I would love to have property like yours.

Have you ever thought of doing a lizard enclosure that is fully wild? By that I mean having a pond with fish for them to eat and such. It would be interesting to see the difference between a hand fed reptile and one that basically hunts their own food! Of course with your interaction to grow the bond you often have with them!! 😁
Looking good, really like the new hide from aqua scapes, maybe consider instead of screws for where the entrance is use latches for future easier access. Be less stressful for her, and a heck of a lot easier for you. Thanks for the download.

I thought the exact same thing. I've seen my tortoises struggle with flaps that just hung from the top with no resistance at the bottom. So these being on one side of the wood and covering such a small hole will probably make it quite hard for her to get out.
I wonder if Kenan gets in trouble with Kate, does she send him out to sleep in the lizard cages or sofa? Ha ha! I bet he never gets in trouble with Kate! 😂😄😆
