- I decided to play a 20 year old DnD-based RPG with a 4:3 aspect ratio because it's still one of the greatest games ever. I will be returning to this series periodically although I can't say for sure when.

There's a beautiful moment in this game where if, you name your character Revan, there's a dialogue choice with "I'm not Revan! I'm Revan!"
But "I'm a Frog" is pretty great too
Last time I played, I named myself Reh'vaan, so it was Revan with an accent. For a 20th playthrough, it's hilarious.
I did this once hoping I would get special perks. I remember after the reveal where Zaalbar says "I don't care if you're Revan or Revan"

I’ve had KOTOR for over a decade and never realized you’re invincible at level one. Each play through I just assumed the enemy has a very low To Hit stat.

Wasn't expecting this classic game from a channel that has been focusing on Halo lately. A surprise, but a welcome one! Happy to see KOTOR get some attention at its 20th anniversary mark.

I was 13 when this came out. Loved Star Wars at the time, and hearing about a new story-based game where you could become a Sith was a dream come true. I begged my nan to get me it, and she did. What I didn't know was that it had turn-based combat, and I thought "wtf is this?!". Turned it off without getting off the Endar Spire and didn't touch it again for 2 years. When I was 15, I thought I'd give it another go. It become one of my favourite games, and is still in my top 5 and gets played every couple of years.
Love this game, 15/10, but I’m still a fan of the sequel, which gets 10/10 from me.
I subscribed because you made videos for my favourite game franchise and I'm glad I've stuck around to see you cover another one of my favourite games.

I almost always do KOTOR dark side, the dialogue options are so much more fun and you make more credits. And I love my credits
I just finished a playthrough of KOTOR a few months ago. 10/10 game in 2023. Also I named myself Rock Hard so whenever I introduced myself...
So many little tricks you can do. I did the dupe glitch after getting both sith armor outfits. Later on, I had the entire team wearing them... basically looked like a cool sith outfit. If you wear them on the Mysterious planet.... they look so cool with the sun glimmering off of them during outdoor conversations. I also play as dark side and have Zalbaar stay on the Ebon Hawk. This way, he doesnt rebel and I always imagined him fighting for Darth Revan bound by his lifebond.

I once named my character 'peeing on my pants' and a random alien in the game ran up to me and said 'I knew it was you peeing on my pants!'
KotOR is probably my number 1 game; incidentally I've bought it like 6 times. Played through it more times than I can count but I've never beat it cause, at first, the final boss was so goddamnrd difficult but now I just dont wanna break that threshold and complete my 20 years of unfinished business

I love this game. I can't explain how many times we rented it from our local video game place (wasn't Blockbuster) and played it on the first Xbox.

Mission is absolutely NOT worthless after Taris!
In fact it's after you get access to Force powers (Insanity, Stasis Field) she really shines with her Sneak Attack-stunned opponents take extra damage!
Plus as a bonus she gets lots of skill points to spend, so your main character can put points into persuade and repair. You don't really need to spend one single point in anything else.(Persuade is pretty obvious, and repair is needed for HK 47 upgrades, and that's optional too)
I used to think she's a waste of space too, now she's my go to teammate( although you need a good Consular to make it work)

Ah, KOTOR. I tried playing a 2nd run modded but my save kept corrupting as soon as I left Taris, it happened twice.

Guess a follow up video is out of the cards by now, but this was excellent. Also always fascinated to see the Xbox version. Grew up having the big PC set with like 4 discs. Was blown away by that itself as a kid. Nowadays I think the PC UI is clunky. If it weren't for mods, I'd be exclusively using the Switch version. One day I'll have to grab an original Xbox and play this version. Would be awesome.

Almost finished a new playthrough myself. This and its sequel are truly timeless to me. Only problem is don’t make my mistake and play nothing but it, the sequel and the MMO for weeks or months at a time otherwise you WILL get sick of it.

I still do playthroughs of KOTOR 1 and 2 every year if not every few months. These games are diamonds in a coal mine.

Kotor is fun, I like the glitches you can do, and I know the dnd system well so min maxing the crap outa every character is fun
The funniest thing about how easily he beat the combat in this game is that isnt even the mist broken aspect
If there is an enemy thats ranged that you cant beat by melee
Then you can stock up on grenades and literally spam grenades and medpacs
It also works for melee opponents but is slightly more difficult
I call it bomb armoring
You need to install the widescreen mod
