Ambiente: Adults-only luxury resort now open in Sedona

- A project that's been six years in the making is ready for you to come to stay, relax, and unwind - welcome to Ambiente.
Nestled in the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, Ambiente is a landscape hotel nestled on a three-acre property, with 40 glass atriums that bring nature to your bedside.
Sedona locals Jennifer May and Coleen Tebrake created the concept from the ground up with the rest of their family. The sisters say they wanted the property to be completely different from anything Sedona has ever seen - and that it is.
"What we wanted to do was something completely different, that was a totally different product for this area," May said. "People come here to see the red rock views, they come here to experience the red rocks, they come here to hike and mountain bike, and really be out in nature. So we thought, why not bring nature into their atrium? Why not make this the focus, the nature that's surrounding you? Rather than trying to build a hotel where your experience is in the hotel, we wanted the hotel to be in the environment and the environment to kind of come into your space."

Back in the 60’s Sedona was a quaint place with an ambiance like no other. Now it’s just another tourist trap with uncontrollable traffic!

It doesn't seem to be "nestled" in the red rocks whatsoever. What if you have a room next to the highway? Not even mentioning the noise, but can you even see a red rock from there? It just isn't the design or the location I would think of for a hotel that features the red rocks.

And if you want to stay there on a weekend right now, it will be $1,999 per night, plus fees, two night minimum stay. No thanks. I'll stay in Oak Creek for 1/10th of the cost, and I'll have a great meal at the Colt Grill

For 1800 a night I'd rather camp in my van on oak Creek canyon or buy a travel pack to Hawaii for $1500 even tho I have plenty of $ I'd never give it to this lady for a night in a room I'd rather take that 1800 and make my own bedroom nice out some wall paper of Sedona and call it a stay lol beautiful property but I wouldn't pay more than 500 for Friday night to Sunday afternoon anything more I feel it's super over priced for what we can get elsewhere for way way less anyone who pays 1800 a night is re tall did

“Most, if not ALL, ingredients are locally sourced” (Prawns, Scallops) in Sedona….LOL! I’m sorry…shoe box architecture DOESN’T blend in well with the natural surroundings. I do wish them well, however. We might just check it out to get a different perspective…

Adult only well there goes 90 % of their customers just so they can charge other people a arm and three legs to stay there what a business strategy.
I love my kids and would take a bullet for mine or anyone else’s but honestly sometimes it’s way more enjoyable to have none around. I’m sure they’re gonna do just fine with the clientele they’re aiming for .
This country is for the greedy, gluttonous, adult/old trash. It is not set up for the young adults and pure people.
If your companion is your right hand, you wouldn't be staying there.
The price point is interesting, Arizona isn't much of a hotbed for tourism, this to me would make more sense in Nevada
right off the strip, but they don't have any competition with this concept so they own the market for now. There's a $900
a night floor plan I'd do a 2night stay just to unwind from a long week or to decompress after hitting a massive parlay to
figure out my next move.

Reminds me of the guy at the farmers market who had a booth right next to a watermelon stand selling melons for 4.95 each. In his booth he had only one watermelon and it was priced for a million dollars. A customer came by and said you know you aren't going to sell very many melons at that price. To which he replied, I know but I only need to sell one!
