I went. Would do things differently next time. Get an Airbnb outside of town, cook all my own food, avoid the shops (seriously how many crystal stores did I see), get to all the trails early. It was so touristy and hard to get around.
@ThePilotUSA1962 Not specifically an airbnb, but a short-term vacation rental away from the city or in a quiet location of the city. I would prefer cooking myself as the places we were ate weren't great, overpriced, and some actually charged a 2 dollar fee for their employees' healthcare. I didn't like the touristy shops either except for a few photograph art shops. Traffic was annoying, too, and I'm from Seattle. Sorry got a little wordy but another trip to Sedona for me would be about nature versus tourist traps.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the great video on Sedona. It's such a beautiful place. I really love that Sedona has many scenic hiking trails. Need to incorporate this with my Vegas trip. Thanks again for sharing and take care.
I love Sedona! I went a few years ago, and I absolutely loved it! It was quite hot during the day (even during October), so I pretty much just did my outdoor hiking and downtown exploration early and late in the day. I remember doing some of the Airport Mesa trail, and I also did the Devils Bridge trail which was quite beautiful. Sedona is one place I would love to go back to someday. I'm glad you all had a great time there!
Thanks for the memories of beautiful Sedona. We've been to Tlaquepaque, taken the Pink Jeep tour, had fabulous meals, visited a vortex spot. I also recommend a visit to the stunning Chapel of the Holy Cross.
Chris, welcome to my state, can't believe you were here and I missed you, glad you had a good time in Sedona. As far as crowds and as a local, been here 20+ years, I have a different take on crowds. In my experience having visit like 10+ times, if you're going on a weekend or holiday, it'll always be busy. My recommendation is go during the week to avoid crowds. Summer tends to attract Phoenicians escaping the brutal heat, fall/spring attracts more out of state tourists, but if going weekends, it doesn't matter, it'll always be busy. As far as hotels, if you have cc certificates, the Hyatt Vacation Club is descent category 4 option, otherwise the Hilton resort on Oak Creek is another great certificate redemption. Great review, learned a few tips about the hikes, that torta norteña looked good 😋
It amazes me how different the weather is just two hours up the road from Phoenix. My day trip this past week definitely felt like a summer "escape", considering the temps in Sedona were at least 15 degrees lower than PHX.
I was in Sedona a few years ago and yes it's a beautiful place! We stayed at an AirBNB near Sugarloaf mountain just a short walk from the start of the Sugarloaf mountain trail. But if there was a negative I took away is that there was only one single Chinese restaurant in all of Sedona
This helps us when we go for our trip. Thanks for sharing the details. It’s a beautiful place to visit. Hope you and your family enjoy! Your daughter looks having a great time 💕
Went on a day trip to Sedona this past week (from Phoenix) and was absolutely amazed! The day time temperature was around 85 degrees, which was surprising to me considering it's mid August. We went on a Tuesday and the crowds were light to non-existent (just how I like it). I can't wait to return in the future.

Great video Chris! Your daughter is adorable! We love Sedona, spent 2 weeks there in October 2023 and 2 weeks in August. If you want to beat the crowds and can handle the heat go in August. The crowds weren't too bad in October, it did get busy on the weekends. Just keep in mind August is monsoon season so you'll have to keep an eye on the weather. We found the Hilton Vacation Club properties are pretty reasonable and they all come with small kitchenettes so you can cook some meals to help save on food costs. There's one in Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek. Cheers!
Good video with lots of info about beautiful Sedona. No need to go to expensive restaurants there because the food is so good everywhere. (What a view from the Saltrock Kiitchen!)
Please, please, please get it right everyone! lol The arches are “Turquoise” at McDonald’s... not blue, not teal, not green but “Turquoise” for the desert south west. ( been here since 1994) Walk, Hike or Bike but do Not DRIVE! If you want to shop and enjoy “Uptown” between 12-4pm during peak season or holidays... I was walking faster than traffics yesterday. The views from the road are just as beautiful as the hiking trails. Also Don’t go eat right after sunset that’s when everyone else and their brother uncle go.
I live in Phoenix and I love SEDONA but the Prettiest Place i have ever been to was THE OLD MILL PARK in Little Rock Arkansas. The Mill was in the opening scene of GONE WITH THE WIND MOVIE credits.
im gonna go back to sedona with a different frame of mind...my initial reaction to sedona was damn disney messed this up for me....carsland looked better 😂😂😂😂😂😮
I would avoid these trails or you will get run over by mountain bikers: Slim Shady, Hiline, Hangover, Any of the Hogs, Chuckwagon. Those trails aren’t very pretty anyway. Lots of poop on the trails, . Stick to non MTB trails like devils bridge or avoid trails altogether and look at the McDonald’s blue arch or visit the Crystal shops. Also Famous pizza is terrible.
11:55 Why can you only describe foods & drinks as "good/great" when you're a grown adult that graduated from high school English class & have been eating & traveling for your whole life? I don't understand why you & many travel vloggers are like this. Most of you never even include the price of the items either. Why don't you do that? You lack so much basic information.
🤭💘😘 9:42 that looks gorgeous. I get hungry sometimes as well. 💘🤭. 🤔 In mirror land when i was 12 there is place near where i did live called red rocks with red rocks and we used to do going swimming there etcetera. 🩷

What time of year did you go to Sedona?
@@paulstein916 Spring, so busy season. Are you going? It is quite breathtaking so understandable why it's so packed.

@@kelp71 thanks for your insights.
No thanks I like to feel like I'm on vacation when I take a vacation.
We stayed at Sedona Real Inn on last week for Feb for 170 a night.. a few Min from upptown and by the trail shuttles. Free breakfast.
Lived in AZ for years and definitely miss trips to Sedona. It’s a magical place to visit. Great to see it again in this video!
Use to deliver to Sedona everyday for work. Awesome sights for sure. Great informative video.
Finally some Arizona content! Thank you Chris. Next time if you're in Sedona check out slide rock if it's open.

Very informative! Thank you! Your little princess is so adorable!
Thank you so much!

@@MackLee23 Indeed, 15 degrees is such a difference and a great break from those tripple digit daily days 😎
LOVED the Chai spot, I went to Tlaquepaque primarily for that tea spot!
Mmm. Yummy!

Yeah.. Asian food choices are pretty slim
On our list of places to go. Thanks for the info + video!

Chapel of the Holy Cross is one of the 10 most beautiful small church in the world. It is very famous.

Princess priceless.
Where do i find the review for the Element Hotel?
Hi Svepo -- that review video comes out tomorrow... so please check back tomorrow for it
You look like Matthew Radport
What part of Sedona where you can experience peace and tranquility?
No yellow on signs seems quite odd.
how about november? you skip it...still in the calendar? everything is changing so much..
👍
Hopefully it doesn’t become California but last time I was there it sure felt like it. The be fair I was in Flagstaff and not Sedona
Why no yellow on signs? That seems silly.
your daughter is sooo cute
TP is growing up fast...needs a 👧🏻 or 🧒🏻; get busy 😃

Thought Christian Horner was fired and started to do travel vloggs on TH-cam. Uncanny resemblance.

Wasn't impressed too touristy & paying for hiking? No thanks when I can go hiking for free in all the other cities in Arizona.
