Great review, well done! I used to have a black and yellow Charleston and still miss it. Never saw a 2CV with tinted glass.

I restored three 2CV and worked on a Dyane. I confirm that your informations are 100% correct. I noticed an extra feature on the "firewall" of the 2CV which I could not identify: a round black box wired with electric of fuel lines ?
    Thank you for the review.

Thanks on your comment, better keep those 2CVs and the Dyane, might be a great investment.

@@keepinitezzy Yes. For your info, here in Belgium a honest clean 2CV from the 80's with a green MOT certificate can go up to 10,000 €. A fully refurbished one with a new frame, full body work and engine up to 15,000 € and even more for a factory fresh Charleston. My brother just baught a 120.000 km Dyane with MOT for 5,000 € but needed new rear brakes, roof and some ajustements for 1,500 € and the gear box is quite tired. A decent Dyane is usually 6,500 €, a 2CV is more expensive. Personally I prefer a crap 2CV than a decent Dyane. About investment: yes, but the new ecological religion scares me. I hope they will not ban vintage cars during their crusade against fuel powered cars.

It's Mangualde (man gu Al de) and not mangulade and its in Portugal!

man goo AL djeh (the "de" has a "dj" sound like "jet" and "jelly") ;)

Interesting video but the year of your Charleston is not correct. According to the ORGA number stamped in the interior engine bay, 4229 means that your car was produced on 7 June 1988 not 1985. I also have a Red/Black Charleston from 1988 and it was made at the Levallois Factory in Paris before it closed that year moving production to Portugal. VINs that have VF (Véhicule français) are French made.

    2 "cv" cee vee 😅 is 2 "hp" ...
"cv" for cheval vapeur as "hp" for horse power ....

a lot of errors...Citroen Dyane was never intended to be a substitute of 2 CV...After Dyane 6 introduction on the market they were contemporaries and simply two different cars and option.Furthermore the Dyane 6 shown in the video is an exception because it was never sold in that chromatic style, except maybe in selected markets

Correct and the Dyane..was more luxurious than a tin snale..
There never been chromatic style Dyane sold. That was only available at the 2cv
