I actually enjoyed the w te dive vibrato. Great reverb in the acoustics. I’m in my office. Natural pine colored wood floors. No ac. It’s hot in my part of the world. Only the fan brings wind. The echo in the acoustics align with the oscillation of the fan. I feel like I’m there.
As a big admirer of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, I can only say what a potential! The two soloists are amazing, each on on his own (especially the Soprano with her amazing vibrati), however their combination lacks the sound contrast which is the corner stone of this piece (according to my taste as I am not a musician nor classic music critique). On the instruments side, I believe it was really amazing execution especially with the harpsichord interventions, however the tempo was a bit too fast for my taste, it is supposed to be a sad piece for grief, and rushing it will minimize the sadness perceived by listeners (again to my taste)
As a failed, amateur musician, TH-cam troll, let me be the a-hole to say: F that! Tim Mead is talented, beautiful with a gorgeous voice! So what!? I won't say bravo. Long live mediocrity!!
Admit who came here after watching Epica”s version with Floor Jansen? Now take the female here and put her with Floor and Simone Simons can we say Trio of Goddesses.
Tiempo demasiado rápido. Desbalance de volumen y densidad entre los solistas vocales. Además de un exesivo vibrato de la soprano. En fin, una versión más exterior y efectista que profunda y reflexiva.
The secret? Unusually thin vocal chords, humongous amounts of talent and lots of practice. As an amateur baritone - whom also tend to have thinner vocal chords - I am able to sing in the falsetto range for some time but can't keep it up for the time required to complete entire choral pieces like this nor have the range a countertenor has at his disposal ..... it is a special gift which ensures countertenors will always be in demand.
He's an exceptionally good countertenor. Special training for that. Both singers and orchestra were amazing. Beautiful interpretation of an exquisite piece.
So beautiful voices 💜💫🙏🏻⚘
Exquisite music... Beautiful, and exceptionally well played!
So beautiful. Saw this performed in Paris years ago..sublime.

Exquisite and superb.
I LOVE THIS SINGER VERY ANGELIC VOICES
Beautiful 😍
so so beautiful!
Bellísimo!!!! ❤
Meraviglia delle meraviglie...
Bravo! Bravo! 🇧🇷
Grazie🌹
Esta es una interpretacion para recordar. Magnifica, Hermosa, Perfecta.
I'll give a like 👍
Lindo demais 👏
She's singing as if this was a Wagner opera. Way too much vibrato for Perolgesi. Tim Mead in the other hand is exquisite.
i don`t understand all the positiv comments here, she is horrible.
That's exactly, what I thought. Listen to Christopher Lowrey/ Sandrine Piau...that's way better!
It's like angry tone.
Jajajaj nada que ver

at the top...
Mr Mead is evidently a counter tenor.
Such a great band. Not grooving the singers with the intrusive vibrato.

Hm, it sounds a bit shaky, like the basses are running a bit.
She should have sung softer. To harsh and overpowering; her partner sounded perfect.
Schade das Vibrato von der Sängerin ist völlig unnötig und nicht passend. Sonst eine schöne Aufnahme.

Musica very very very fast.👎🏽👎🏻
I like it better performed faster.
das Tempo passt in unsere Zeit
how does he sing like a women???
