i just want to mention that blizzard printed support card that is pretty much broken for demon seed warlock in whizbang workshop miniset, they dont care about something is broken if that is for their favorite classes aka Warlock and Druid, by this point its clear that they love those 2 classes, denying that would be silly and screw that
I definitely expected Warrior to be Pirate Warrior from Mean Streets. I remember when that deck first arose and it was basically unstoppable. Its win rate was insanely high (I think like 80%+) and the matches only lasted a few turns, so you could just power through the ladder like it were paper. OG Grim Patron is also a top contender and was so wrong that it lead to one of the most infamous nerfs (now reverted). Warrior even know is still busted af but my vote goes to Pirate Warrior. For Rogue, as a Kingsbane fan girl, I do wanna throw that out there as another contender. It wasn't as fast or effective as Mine Rogue was but back then, you could give your KB permanent life steal, which was beyond so not okay. The only counter to KB is Kobold Stickyfinger and that card didn't exist in the game until two years after KB came out. I don't think that it's the most broken rogue deck ever but I played OG KB and while I love modern KB more, it was so broken that it just wasn't even okay.
I think kingsbane was also disgusting at certain times, but I wouldn't say it was as broken as some other decks, old innervate and blossom were nuts for druid (and shaman) but yeah OG pirate warrior was pretty insane. Also if you remember miracle rogue from kobalds and catacombs was kinda nuts with prince.
You could totally win against it, but not if you were playing a traditional face deck. Back in the day, I completed an entire Daily in one sitting fighting one Kingsbane deck, because I really did do over twice the amount of life
my favourite card is dragoncaller alanna. She rarely worked but the big spell gaming was very fun, i still play a big spell list from time to time and when she just doesnt get insta cleared and you get to swing with her dragons it feels so good
Love the cutting in and out from the ranting Favorite card- Shadowreaper Anduin, love the flavor of going from a soft boy priest to being able to cast gun. That and wiping out boards from probably my most hated archetype being Jades, is a very nice bonus.
I haven't been on the receiving end of some of these decks since I took some breaks around DoD and Nathria, but I still remember how dreadful it felt to play standard during Witchwood and UiS with the mini set. Even Paladin was the little push that made me play a lot of casual wild since standard was ridden with it (alongside some early shudderwock combos, but they were to a lesser extent compared to EP), as for the UiS decks, they really warped the meta to be just fast decks at that time. Regardless, nice vid dude, I really like the fact that you go all in to say how problematic the subject of the topic is and how stupid most of the workaround nerfs blizz does.
Also, to this day (at the last time I played Wild), Instrument Tech is still very playable as a combo-ish piece. Skipper Warrior would play it if they didn’t have good weapon tutors from playing Pirates. Kingsbane loves it. If there’s ever a time you need any weapon, as soon as possible, to win a game or draw even harder, Instrument Tech is your guy. This is a common.
great vid! ur energy is super entertaining super hard to pick my favorite card lol, but i guess id say King Togwaggle, i used to love togwaggle druid honorable mention to mechathun too
I think tome tampering warlock from MotLK was better than Chamber discolock. Tome was generally redraw your hand, deal 20 dmg and summon 3 minions on the board. This shit was crazy.
And Duskbreaker is my favorite card. Love the art and battlecry, been a priest main for hearthstone’s entire lifespan, I love dragons and dragon priest was broken during Kobolds if I remember correctly. Love it.
All these broken decks (warlock could have a video to itself) and nobody remembers Spirit Singer Umbra + Fel Lord Betrug (fav card of all time probably). Underrated combo
I'm glad that i wasn't playing hearthstone for a couple of these decks. Favourite hearthstone card? Probably Al'Akir the Windlord, always fun to take out an opponent while calling them an insect, and he's never felt unfair
Would be cool to see a video about cool cards and decks that were almost good - my favourite card ever is mordresh for that animation, by far the most satisfying card to play even though you usually lost way before you got to play it
@@FlareIsGone To be honest I haven't given it a solid shot for a few months now, it felt like any deck that didn't win by turn 6 or 7 at the latest wasn't viable and as a free to play player those ranked chests are too important to ignore... maybe I'll give it another go though, tier 4 sounds good enough to me
i've always wanted to see a video like this awesome video! i'd probably only disagree that mech paladin is the best paladin has been and maybe big shaman was better with unnerfed bloom. and its hilarious that you gave warlock basically 3 spots with tiller priest and you still could've put darkglare, quest, or soul stealer warlock on the list.
Can you do a video on budget decks for wild or general tips for what cards to craft? I recently started playing again after abandoning it after demon hunter released.
The only deck for which I disagree is Paladin: to me, the most broken paladin deck is Barrens Handbuff Paladin: if they managed to stick the crabrider you had no chance to win
Warlock only getting 2 parts feels like a sin lol, probably the most broken decks ever made in the game. I'm surprised you didn't even mention Stealer of Souls deck, Echo was definetly worse, but there's one thing in nerfing an entire keyword and another thing being the first card to ever been banned in Wild (which was big at the time).
Yeah its probably just as broken if not more but sn1psn4p is iconic for being absurd, and then I can't not rant about chamber whenever given the opportunity
I wonder how different discard warlock would have been if blizzard had chosen to make the discard mechanic not random. If you compare discard targets between HS and LoR the HS cards are absurd. LoR only lets you cheat out effects which are 1,5 mana max while warlock gives you 3 drops, allows you to draw 3 (!!!) cards or nuke the board. To this day I dont get why blizzard chose this approach, my best guess is a technical limitation (and yet they printed discard cards in the same expansion they introduced discover). The worst part is that blizzard will never update the current cardpool so they can change the discard mechanic for the better.
For me two decks come to mind, as they where decks that made me think playing them was unfair to the opponent. First is pain warlock with pre-nerfed glare and pre nerfed pen flinger, i played close to 60 games with it at the time and only ever lost in mirrors. How fast you got infinite mana to drop your giants was so stupid it makes current version with demon seed look pathetic. And the one inconsider by far the strongest deck ever, the one where i played 43 games with and had a 100% wr, that was pre-nerfed yogg miracle rogue. People don't like facing arcane giants on turn 3? How about acabe giants AND yogg at turn 3? You are in a mirror match? Just play your yogg last, there is no counter play if you play your yogg first in the mirror you lose. Insane that they had the balls to print the old version of yogg, there was literally nothinh that came even remotelly close to that deck at the time. Still mu favorite card remains cthun the shatered, best flavour text in the game to this day. "My grandpas deck has no pathetic cards!"
you made me remembrer the warlock deck wich used the card that changed the cost of the cards to health, that was so fucking broken, its insane how warlock has infinite op decks trought its history (u could make a video on that) my favorite card of all time its og kel’thuzad
Rouge has probably more than 1 deck that is fucking obscene, but nothing more obscene than discard warlock, it was ACTUALLY FUCKING MISERABLE to be blasted by like a billion stats on turn 3 plus a fuck ton of face damage, there was no way to fight for board, stop the gas or win honestly.
I was expecting the demon seed warlock, ive heard so much about it that I was sure it was the most broken Warlock had ever bee, I guess I was wrong And for the giveaway, my favorite card is the Countess
Flare having a mental breakdown over Chamber is so funny
Even call to arms paladin would run millhouse manastorm. You think about that
Triple rune DK was killed because you could chain discover frostwyrm fury when you had like 5 frost spells in DK iirc
Yeah this was more the reason for the nerf at the time than blood, tho it was really annoying for people to chain discover soulstealers too
i just want to mention that blizzard printed support card that is pretty much broken for demon seed warlock in whizbang workshop miniset, they dont care about something is broken if that is for their favorite classes aka Warlock and Druid, by this point its clear that they love those 2 classes, denying that would be silly and screw that
@@dannylight7022 and rogue
@@dannylight7022more that they dont care about wild lol
This is one of the best episode, max mental breakdown and max fun of wild

Mean streets pirate warrior is one of the most skill testing mirrors of all time

OG players will remember darkest hour warlock. That will always be my favourite warlock deck and most op one in my book
My favourite card is probably the Demon Seed, I love quest lines and then the math you need to do after you play the reward is very cool
For me quest rogue was the most absurd deck. Honorable mentions are midrange shaman and pirate warrior
Damn, last time I checked you had 700 subs. Good job. Keep going!
thank you my goat

my favorite hearthstone card is whatever card makes my opponent the angriest

Shudderwock will always and forever be one of my favorites.

Quest Mage with Grey Sage Parrot and the new at the time Rommath legit gave me conniptions
What about unicorn priest?
i remember that big rogue deck when dane made a vid about it n got my first ever diamond
Would be cool to see a video about cool cards and decks that were almost good - my favourite card ever is mordresh for that animation, by far the most satisfying card to play even though you usually lost way before you got to play it
hero power mage is currently good in wild, its like t4 at worst rn

nahh no undertaker hunter?
I still remember the stealer of souls tavern brawl meta in wild.

I miss Big Rogue, I took that deck to legend back when Sketchy Information came out. Never liked including Neptulon in it.
(Giveaway comment) Astral Automaton has been going crazy for me
the best deck ever is my triple bolvar reno Paladin obviously

fun fact : I hit legend for the first time in wild with odd quest hunter (dont insult me plz^^)
Questline hunter made me take a 2 year break from hearthstone
How was Kaelthas Druid not the deck of choice when it could easily OTK on turn 1?
I don't acknowledge kt druid since it existed for 2 weeks and I hate it
for rogue i was expecting either garrote, Whirlkick, maestra or galakrond. way more meta defining decks for there time than this deathrattle one, imo
Fun fact: big rogue was tier 2 deck in meta snapshot and big priest was tier 1. They didn't even touched priest but just murdered rogue lol
I actually miss twig druid. What a stupid fun deck 😂
My favorite card is harbor scamp!
Oh btw I love the longer video and my favorite card is still galvadon.
Questline dh is so fun but day 1 is 100% stronger
My favorite broken deck was boar priest
Bring back triple blood! Favorite card is obsidian statue

Day #6 of Glazing Shadow Reaper Anduin.
i miss undertaker hunter on that list. god that was an awful meta
Still feel like demon seed is worthy of the list, just hit legend with it and I am a HORRIBLE hearthstone player.
playing vs blood dk was the worst experience ever as bad as vs stormwind quests
I was expecting the demon seed warlock, ive heard so much about it that I was sure it was the most broken Warlock had ever bee, I guess I was wrong

The rune mechanic for DK is so unfun and now they dont make any, so much for the "new cool thing". I hope blizzard just deletes it the next reset.
extremely loud interference in the first 5 seconds im out
My favorite HS card is Darkest Hour
