I didn't know it was mark and I was like "wow they really found an actor that resembles him" and then I text my friend and she was like: "Bro that IS Mark" and I'm like "HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE !". Thank you technology :)
Because it is 1980s Mark Hamill. And the credits should say that in my opinion. I even think the voice was old footage. This is bad move by Mark, cause when he drops dead, they will still be giving him movie credits for the next 20 years.
@@otinad2008 Maybe it was his current voice, or his former voice, but it was his creepy computer generated 1980s face. I would prefer Mark in heavy makeup. The episode was OK, but I still want a real actor wielding the saber, not a stand-in.
I wish it was less creepy. I mean they resurrected Peter Cushing 4 years ago, and make a creepy Leia in a scene that wasn't needed. They also put a 25 years younger Sam Jackson in a whole movie in Captain Marvel.
@@JumboH Leia was weird as F, and Rouge One should have ended with Vader standing at the edge of the dock watching the Corvette fly off. That was a perfect cut leading into Episode 4. Why they wasted money on that last part was just silly and unnecessary. We know who was on that ship.

I'm so happy people are arguing over the good and bad about LUKE F*CKING SKYWALKER returning to the screens in his former glory. However well or not you think it was executed or if it was fan service or not...it was welcome in my book. Very awesome!

I mean, what did Mark do? He certainly wasn't the body double, and the guy with the body used his face for the CGI covering too, so what did Mark do exactly? Is it his voice now or cut up pieces that already existed from the 70s and 80 so it's "technically Mark Hamill's voice?"
Some people can find a way to be negative about anything. This was an amazing moment that had both me and my older son cheering. Was it perfect? No, but it didn't have to be. The technology is still evolving. It was just fine for what they did.
Doesn't change the fact its the same kind of style used for Christopher Lee in episode 2 and 3. Its mark hamill dude. Personally I think its a bit meh.

Easily the only good Star Wars thing since the original trilogy. Terrible TERRIBLE recreation of Mark Hamill though.
I would think after 4 years from creepy Leia, they would have improved a little. Maybe they should have made the bridge darker to help out. Personally, I think he could have mopped up the droids faster. The beginning of The Phantom Menace was more impressive. I mean one force push should take out a line of droids.
It is fair that they credit him, after all it is his face and voice that he had decades ago, even if it is mostly done using a computer.
Apply deep fake and you can have a better result, just render the gotdamn scene with that software damn it!
