Luke has always been my favorite character, seeing how he was treated in Last Jedi, broke my heart. No way was I supporting SW after that.
Same here. For me Skywalker family is the root of Star Wars. The way Disney treated all of them in the sequels made me so angry. Nothing against the new characters or actors. It´s all on the greedy production company, that showed no respect for what has been created and the lore and just wanted to make big money. And what is so infuriating, it was not even money from the movies. They wanted new merch to sell in their entertainment parks. That is why they made the movies. Mark Hamill and the Mandalorian are the reason why I still have some kind of love for Star Wars......but it is mostely Mark, such a wonderfull person.
Literally nothing more perfect than that entrance I'm STILL in tears over it
The best thing for me was that Mark Hamil played Luke Skywalker again. They didn't just get a younger actor and just have Mark backstage. I admit, I cried when I saw that green light saber, the Luke Skywalker I know is back. I turned my back on Star Wars after the Last Jedi didn't even watched Rise of Skywalker.
To introduce lots of new thing to put them on sale. Nothing else.
Mark thank you so much!!! At present, I´m 44 years old and a few times a movie/series scene made me cry.
I didn't quite believe it even I saw it, honestly. I am grateful for Luke's return. Maybe it also means that better times will return as well a step at the time - hopefully...
Love much!!
thank you for providing us all this!!
Knowing Mark was involved in filming makes it better! So happy for him! He deserved it! George Lucas must also be proud.
2:14, I love how Grogu is just patiently waiting, while tapping his little hand on Luke’s arm out of boredom.
Seeing Mark behind scenes was epic!!
And with that powerful scene, a highlight in an already fantastic series, there’s new hope for Star Wars.
I’m in favor of a Luke Skywalker TV series with Mark Hamill (with his current age) that ignores the sequel trilogy.
I think star wars Disney films are set in alternate reality while the real reality were the prequels , star wars orignal trilogy they can do multiverse type of thing bcus they have a marvel man john farveau
Wow! It's refreshing to see creators so invested in bringing back a legendary character.
NGL Max Lloyd Jones would make a fine Luke Skywalker
My thoughts exactly.
He's got a far more accurate frame than Winter Soldier fella
@@martinh1309 he also kinda looks like luke as seen in the SW battlefront games if they cast him permanently im all for it
@@cosmoRen742 me too, Sebastian Stan is too muscular to play Luke.
@@martinh1309 Sebastian Stan would have been great to portray Kyp Durron from the NJO novels, but too bad those are no longer canon for Disney. Bleh....
Thinking back what made Luke so impactful here was not just "seeing" him. The whole build-up and execution. Even before green lightsaber appears you get the feeling someone legendary is coming. The way that character moves and uses force is peerless. I would be totally content without face-reveal because at that point we already saw a Legendary Jedi we haven't seen in 40 years.
He was only in it for a short scene and they could have used the younger stand0in as Luke, they didn't need Mark at all really.. BUT .. they showed the fans and Mark loyalty and dedication and made it that much more special. They've earned my loyalty for that.
We need more of this.
The return of Skywalker in The Mandalorian is fan service at its absolute best!
This did totally catch me by surprise, and what a wonderful surprise at that.
Well that Mandalorian mash up was pretty EXCITING
You make old men and women around the world cry so much!!! Thanks to rescue our hope in Star Wars!!!
I believe the Skywalker story is not finished and fans want it to continue for a very long time now it's important to every fan that loves this series.
getting to know fans is another one of those important moments that you enjoy and remember forever.
The force wills it
I have no words for all of that... Please continue this MAGIK!
Aye I’m ngl the stunt double could actually take over for a young Luke series other than Seb
Blasphemy! Sebastian Stan still the perfect choice to carry on the Luke Skywalker torch!

"not going to lie"
When people have to specify that they are not going to lie, I always have to ask, do you usually lie?
@@OriginalPuro You might’ve read tooo deeply into lmao
2:15 the commited puppeteer makes grogu real. So cute.
Them talking n grogu just doing his baby thing.
I wonder how Mark Hamill felt when he donned the costume from Episode 6 again. Must've felt amazing.
This was made with love
This is better than the sequels who am I kidding everything’s better than the sequels
I'd rather watch 911 attacks then the sequels
@@harvillex4284 thats messed up but I can see where you’re coming from.
Ewoks caravan of courage and the star wars holiday special were better than the sequels
@@yaboifry2071 well that’s a load of 💩

1:16 I love the empty seat between the two 😂
She was on set at all???????
Definitely luke,s clone the feeling when you go back in time as a kid and see Luke skywalker in prime time they nailed it
I love how much the creators of these shows LOVE these shows.
1:00 Knew it when I saw the X-Wing
MAGNIFICENT.... WE HOPE MORE....
If they ever release a blu ray, I would love a “Hamil cut” of the final episode
That would be amazing
0:47 Amazed at the versatility of legendary sportscaster Bob Costas!
Max Lloyd-Jones could easily play the son of Mark, their resemblance is amazing.
It's amazing how they did it.
Seeing Kathleen Kennedy just sit there next to George genuinely hurt my soul
Stop being so dramatic. They are friends and George put her in charge of Star Wars when he left.
Don't look up anything about the production of the original Indiana Jones trilogy.
Hey, I agree, KK had her faults, but the main people who really fcked up Sequels were it's directors JJ & Rian. Thankfully KK & Disney is kinda learning their lesson a bit by hiring more competent directors like Filoni & Favreau
Where is that moment?
@@user-uo8mx3cv5k Some people have an interesting tendency to blame Kennedy and Disney whenever they don't enjoy their content but ignore or explain away their presence when they do.
Mark and George must be so proud with how well they’ve done these series
