I sure didn’t know it worked to till cover crop seed in!
It works with crimson clover too😁 I tilled some in for Jerry and it’s up an running.
They’ll eat the turnips, but only cooked. My grandpa fed his turnips one year. Boiled the roots whole in a big cast iron wash pot. One cooking would last several days.
Cool! Yeah Back in the day they cooked a lot of the pig’s food, i might need to set something like that up.

You live that close to the magee family homestead and he's not got you planting crimson clover? 😁
Ha😁It’s good stuff. And I have used it in the past but it’s like $80-$100 a bag at our feed store. I guess I should ask him how much he pays for it.
@@Jared-Brubaker I believe he said he gets it from his brother in Canada or somewhere so should be a lot cheaper
turnips have a bitter taste so I guess sugar beets would be eaten better by your pigs

I grow mangles/stock beats ans everything eats them. They get huge, 24 inches long if they have room, chickens even eat them.
