I think, as we saw in the last game, its important to note how many artifacts blue red can have just because of the amount of artifact energy dumps. Because of this, i think a potential grixis artifact energy brew could be really strong when in the right seat, splashing cranial rams and refurbished familiars and having cards like the chargebug or amulet doubling with both themes. This deck looked really fun too!
So it's probably really inefficient, but when I have the Generatorium, I'm not above shuffling the Inventor's Axe between creatures if I really want that card draw 😅
Essence reliquary is my favorite white card in this format and its so slept on! Almost every white color pair has great etb triggers and reliquary can let you retrigger all of them. Ajani and the godsire, gremlins, ANY energy producer, reliquary is such a nice card
It's a really fun card. I had a deck where I used it with the rare Ocelot, I would do first strike damage to get lifelink, bounce the ocelot, then recast it to still get my cat tokens. Even though you can only use it on your turn it's surprisingly flexible.
I did this, too, and it was awesome. Also had the 2 mana 1/2 that gained you life when creatures etb. Reliquary is great! Accursed Marauder for ex @Ssalamanderr
52:29 actually you won 1 game 1, got their visionary, and in this game you won the repurposer one. i didn't count how many you cast up to this point tho
Agree with genertorium being not very good, even in very high energy setups it rarely gets the job done. you need recurring dumps like Amulet to even make it remotely viable. Im happy the ironworks wheeled for you, that card did a ton of work for you too.
Feels like you can let your opponent with no cards resolve Path of Annihilation - you have the hard counter in hand and if they use it to cast something huge (like, say, Emrakul 😅) you get to steal that instead
38:18 OP missed lethal. The battlewagon is crew 4 and Paul doesn't have enough for an energy crew, so he either gets trampled over for lethal by the 9-9 or he dies to the 2-2. Paul actually punted by using his energy to make the golem but mythic #341 somehow missed it.
Ummm no? Battle Wagon taps the 9/9 trampler pre-combat and the opponent is just DOB to the flyers. Im assuming the opponent had no action in hand, which is probably why he conceded.
Blue-Red Cheons: Nice!

I've always had a soft spot for izzet decks so thanks for showcasing an awesome run with one!
Any time!
Also Paul you are by far my favorite to watch. Keep up the great content!
Thanks! Will do!
Some of the best games of the set imo here. I love volatile storm drake when you draft bounce spells.
Nicely played 2nd match. You fought thru it and came out on top!
Best line "Energy is the Truth!"
Yesterday! Ggs
Paul you got nerves of steel, being able to go down to 2 and pull off the W is wild. I don't have what it takes to be a sealed master lol
Paul: Hey opponent, just whiff for one turn.
Op: How about a top decked Emrakul?
Paul playing control is just so natural

Great deck, Paul Cheon.
Thanks!
Great Drafting!
Paul consistently forgetting to take out the Izzet Generatorium is great. Wish LSV saw this.
"I'm incapable of winning flips!"
LSV: First time?
Luis has probably won more coin flips than most on this channel
I love a UR deck. I can often wheel cyclops, siege smash and the flash axe. If they're at 5 life, the cyclops will get them out of nowhere.
deem inferior'ing your own volatile stormdrake was indeed cool 😎

Pack 1: not sure what direction we are going.
3 picks into pack two and nothing but gas!
That turned around quickly
Passed a riddlekeeper!
24:43 nice

splash the Guide Paul!! Lets go

In game 2, would it have been better to cast hydroelectric specimen in response to the fangs of Kalonia?
Just went 7-1 with the essence reliquary and the 1/1 U bounce dog. They were key. But P1P1 Genku helps =P

I don't think white aggro is underdeafted. One draft lately 2/3 of my opponents played some form of white aggro.
Are you playing any Arena Cube?
If it’s not ranked then probably not, but I would be happy AF to check out Paul draft a Arena cube
