Really enjoying you on LR. I started playing MTG because my son started playing. I was a Hearthstone gamer. I downloaded the old MTG Duels first. Then Arena from day it was available. Listened to LR by accident and got hooked. Started when Jon was still cohost and then B Wong. I find the content helps me with all other strategy games I play. I would love for Marshall to do a reunion episode with all the cohosts. The podcast helped me with a few 7 win drafts. I only quick draft. Economy player here 😂. Keep doing great things
He's really settled in on LR. I've been an LR listener for years and i miss Luis of course, but the show benefits from their chemistry in the coverage booth soooo much.
@@haumphYour limited content has basically become appointment viewing in MtG limited circles, i don't think i'm speaking out of turn here. The mixture of charm and expertise is very welcome.
20:00 You asked: "am I supposed to just board out all the monstous rages?". Absolutely not! And your game proved that. Especially vs the opp you had, a yorion deck with tap lands. Monstrous rage is the most powerful card in the deck.
Maybe next time you go into this, playing something with a strong matchup against red is a good idea? It seems like red aggro is all the range, so a strong midrange deck like the golgari one seems really perfect?
At 21:37, you still won anyway, but wouldn't the Monstrous Rage on the prowess creature have been lethal since it was a 6/4 double striker after the burst lightning play? Or did I miss something?
because it's not looking to be quite as explosive or go quite as wide as the other gruul aggro deck that plays burning tree emissary and cunning coyote.
You should look into the verge lands instead of Karplusan Forest... Thornspire verge in particular! But there is a new gruul one coming out with Aetherdrift too :)
As a long time aggro player I am pretty sure you're over sideboarding, especially when you are going to be on the play. You are not giving yourself the main advantage of the deck which is to put them in a position of every play being defensive while you draw the last few points of damage.
Hey, Paul! I was your r2 opp, theburnishedhart! Thanks so much for the games~ Three Nemy's in g1 was sick XD
That’s awesome

I believe that they had a reunion episode a couple of years ago at one of the Las Vegas events or something like that.
@ they did. I really liked B Wong as a cohost. His Shelly 🦀 vs Marshalls Elmers 🫎
Love your videos Paul! Got me back into MTG after a 10+ year hiatus, keeeep em coming!
Can't stop, won't stop.

Posted 36 seconds ago. Better than coffee. Woke up at the right time. Let's GOOOO!!
Paul's Really Interesting count is off the charts this video! Very fun games to watch
Yeah that just means I have no idea what to do hah
@haumph we're here learning with you
Tks! Great content as always.

Really appreciate your content! When you play constructed, it'd be great if there was a decklist link!
Thanks for the content either way--cheers!
The mono red shoulder dance 😮
It’s kinda funny how your first match was basically two standard decks with a few explore cards
53:00 I'm guessing holding sell sword
I enjoy these videos, but I have to say, when you play this deck, I'm rooting against you. :)
15:22 he could have had into the flood maw
Hey Paul, was wondering if you considered Phoenix at all. You strike me as a Treasure Cruise enjoyer
Phoenix would be pretty good yeah.
Is green worth it?

I agree that a deck that’s good against red is a smart play for these events

Manifold Mouse can only target Mice, so Swiftspear can’t get double strike
@JETZero3 , ah got it. That makes me feel better. Thanks for the explanation.
32:25 You shouldn't side in hazoret in an aggro matchup. I think you could have won if it was monstrous rage or talent
Why doesn’t this run atarka’s command ? I like running shapers sanctuary sideboard as a one of
because it's not looking to be quite as explosive or go quite as wide as the other gruul aggro deck that plays burning tree emissary and cunning coyote.
Makes sense, do you think this is better than the other gruul list ?
Why were your lands in game 1 tapping for black? I don't play pioneer much.
I assume there was an urborg, tomb of yawgmoth in play.
You should look into the verge lands instead of Karplusan Forest... Thornspire verge in particular! But there is a new gruul one coming out with Aetherdrift too :)
Can someone post the decklists
im always surprised you can make aggro seem interesting to watch. Usually its like... Kinda not.

you're probably right as I am somebody who is not an aggro player XD
